When Krishna went away from his village, his friends the gopis missed him so very much. They thought of him all day long! Krishna wanted them to feel better, so he sent his wise friend Uddhava to visit them. Uddhava knew many big, clever things, and he tried to teach the gopis with grand words. But the gopis just smiled sweetly. “We don’t need fancy words,” they said. “Krishna already lives right here in our hearts!” Wise Uddhava watched their happy, loving faces and felt amazed. Their love was so warm and pure that he learned a beautiful lesson from them instead. He went home thinking, “Loving with all your heart is the wisest thing of all.”
A loving heart can be wiser than the cleverest words.
Ask your child: How do you show someone you love them?
