Long ago there was a princess named Mira. She lived in a grand palace, but the thing she loved most was singing songs to her dear Krishna. Every day she would dance and clap and sing, “Krishna, Krishna, you are my best friend!” Her heart was so full of love that her songs sounded like sweet music floating through the air. Some people did not understand. “Why do you sing all day?” they asked. But Mira just smiled and kept on singing. She knew that Krishna was always close to her, listening with a happy heart. Even today, people all over the world still sing Mira’s lovely songs. She showed everyone that love can be as beautiful as a song.
