Sudama was poor, but his best friend was a king — Krishna!
Sudama was poor, but his best friend was a king — Krishna! One day Sudama went to visit. He had no fancy gift, only a small bundle of puffed rice in an old cloth. “He won’t want this,” Sudama worried. But when Krishna saw his old friend, he ran to hug him! He spotted the little bundle and his eyes lit up. “For me?” he said, and happily ate the simple rice, smiling at every bite. Sudama asked for nothing. But when he went home, his tiny hut had become a beautiful house! Krishna had blessed him — not for the gift, but for the love behind it.
It’s the love behind a gift that matters most.
Who is a friend you love — what could you share with them?
