Dark clouds rumbled over the village.
Dark clouds rumbled over the village. Rain poured and poured! The people and the cows had nowhere to hide. Little Krishna looked up and smiled. He walked to the great Govardhana hill, bent down, and lifted it up — on just one finger! — like a giant umbrella. “Come, everyone! Come under!” All the families, the cows, the birds, even the tiny ants hurried underneath, warm and safe. For seven days Krishna held the hill, never tired. When the rain stopped, he gently set it down. He didn’t need to be loud or proud — he simply took care of everyone.
True strength is taking care of others.
