Two cousins both came to ask Krishna for help.
Two cousins both came to ask Krishna for help. Krishna smiled and gave them a choice. “One of you may have my huge, strong army,” he said. “And one of you may have just me — but I will not carry any weapon. I will only help and guide you.” Arjuna thought for only a moment. “I choose you, Krishna!” he said happily. “Being with you is the best thing of all!” So Krishna became Arjuna’s helper, driving his chariot and giving him wise, calm advice whenever he felt worried. The other cousin took the big army, but he did not have Krishna by his side. Arjuna had chosen the very best friend and helper of all.

Ask your child: Who is the friend you would always choose?
