Long ago there lived a kind man named Kabir who made cloth on a wooden loom. All day his loom went click-clack, click-clack, as he wove soft, beautiful cloth thread by thread. But Kabir did something special while he worked — he sang gentle songs about love and kindness and God. Kabir believed something lovely: that the same kind spark lives inside every single person, no matter who they are. He taught everyone to be honest, to be kind, and to look for goodness in their own hearts. People loved his simple, happy songs and still sing them today. Kabir showed that you don’t need a fancy place to be good — you can be loving and wise right where you are, even at a little loom.
We can be kind and good right where we are.
Ask your child: How can you be kind during your ordinary day?
