Brave Hanuman stood by the big, big sea. Far across the water was Lanka, where he had to go. But the sea was so wide! “I can’t jump that far,” he thought, and felt small. Then his wise friend Jambavan smiled. “Hanuman, you’ve forgotten how strong you are!” Suddenly, Hanuman remembered. He grew bigger and bigger. He took a deep breath, bent his knees, and — whoooosh! — leaped into the sky! He flew over the roaring waves all the way to Lanka. Hanuman wasn’t only strong in his arms.
