ज्ञप्तिं भगवतीं देवीं शुद्धज्ञानमहाधिया । दुःखाद् आह्वाययाम् आस सोवच समुपेत्य ताम्
She called upon the goddess Jñapti, the divine power of pure knowledge, out of her sorrow, and when she appeared, she spoke to her.
किं स्मृतास्मि त्वया वत्से धत्से किम् इति शोकिताम् । संसारे भ्रान्तयो भान्ति मृगतृष्णाम्बुवन् मुधा
Have you remembered me, child? Why do you grieve? In this world, delusions appear like the mirage of water, in vain.
क्व ममाम्ब स्थितो भर्ता किं करोत्य् अथ कीदृशः । समीपं नय मां तस्य नैका शक्नोमि जीवितुम्
Mother, where is my husband? What is he doing, and what is he like? Take me to him; I cannot live alone.
चित्ताकाशं चिदाकाशम् आकाशं च तृतीयकम् । तेभ्यश् शून्यतमं विद्धि चिदाकाशं वरानने
Know that the space of the mind, the space of consciousness, and physical space are three; among them, the space of consciousness is the most subtle, O beautiful one.
शून्यम् एवेदम् अखिलं जगत् तत्र व्यवस्थितम् । अहं त्वम् इति दृश्यात्म नानानानैव निर्वपुः
This entire world is truly empty, and therein are established the distinctions of 'I' and 'you', which are but appearances of the perceiving self, mere forms of diversity without real substance.
अभित्तिमयम् एवेदं कल्पनारूपितं जगत् । ज्ञप्तिभामात्रकं देशतुलापूरणवर्जितम्
This world is indeed imagined, composed only of appearances, and is nothing but a manifestation of awareness, devoid of any spatial measure or actual content.
तच् चिदाकाशकोशात्मा चिदाकाशैक्यभावनात् । अविद्यमानम् अप्य् आशु दृश्यते ऽथानुभूयते
That, whose essence is the space of consciousness, is swiftly perceived and experienced, even though it does not truly exist, due to the contemplation of the oneness of the space of consciousness.
देशाद् देशान्तरप्राप्तौ संविदो मध्यम् एव यत् । निमेषेण चिदाकाशं तद् विद्धि वरवर्णिनि
When, in the instant it takes to move from one place to another, awareness remains in the middle, know, O beautiful one, that this is the space of consciousness.
तस्मिन् निरस्तनिश्शेषसङ्कल्पस्थितिम् एषि चेत् । सर्वात्मकपदं तत् तद् दृष्ट्वा प्राप्नोष्य् असंशयम्
If you attain that state where all notions and intentions are completely dissolved, you will undoubtedly realize that supreme state which is the essence of all.
अत्यन्ताभावसंवित्त्या जगतस् त्व् एतद् आप्यते । नान्यथा मद्वरेणाशु त्वं तु प्राप्स्यसि सुन्दरि
This is attained only through the awareness of absolute non-existence; there is no other way. Through my grace, you will quickly reach it, O beautiful one.
इत्य् उक्त्वा सा ययौ देवी दिव्यम् आत्मीयम् आस्पदम् । लीला तु लीलयैवासीन् निर्विकल्पसमाधिभाक्
Having spoken thus, the goddess departed to her own divine abode, while Lila remained, absorbed in effortless, thought-free samadhi.
तत् तत्याज निमेषेण सान्तःकरणपञ्जरम् । स्वदेहं खम् इवोड्डीना निजनीडं विहङ्गमी
In a moment, she abandoned her body along with the cage of the inner faculties, like a bird soaring into the sky, leaving its own nest behind.
ददर्श च स्वभर्तारं तस्मिन्न् एवालयाम्बरे । संस्थितं पृथिवीपालम् आस्थाने बहुराजके
There she saw her own lord, the protector of the earth, standing in that very royal hall, among many kings.
सिंहासनसमारूढं जय जीवेति संस्तुतम् । प्रस्तुतं मण्डलानेककार्यम् आहर्तुम् आदृतम्
He was seated upon the throne, praised with shouts of 'Victory! Long live!' and was attentively engaged in addressing the affairs of many assemblies.
पताकामञ्जरीकीर्णराजधानीगृहस्थितम् । पूर्वद्वारस्थितासङ्ख्यमुनिविप्रर्षिमण्डलम्
He was situated in the royal palace, adorned with clusters of banners, and at the eastern gate stood countless groups of sages, brahmins, and seers.
दक्षिणद्वारगासङ्ख्यललनालोकमण्डलम् । पश्चिमद्वारगासङ्ख्यराजराजेशमण्डलम्
At the southern gate was an innumerable assembly of women, and at the western gate, a multitude of kings and great rulers.
उत्तरद्वारगासङ्ख्यरथहस्त्यश्वसङ्कुलम् । एकभृत्यविनिर्णीतदक्षिणापथविग्रहम्
At the northern gate, there was a throng of chariots, elephants, and horses; and the southern route was managed by a single trusted minister.
कर्णाटनाथरचितपूर्वदेशक्रियाक्रमम् । सुराष्ट्राधिपनिर्णीतसर्वम्लेच्छोत्तरापथम्
The eastern region's affairs were conducted by the lord of Karnata, and the entire northern frontier of the foreigners was administered by the ruler of Saurashtra.
मालवेशसमाक्रान्तसर्वपाश्चात्यतङ्गणम् । दक्षिणाब्धितटायातलङ्कादूतविनोदितम्
All the western provinces were governed by the lord of Malava, and the southern seacoast was enlivened by envoys from Lanka.
पूर्वाब्धितटमाहेन्द्रसिद्धोक्तगगनापगम् । उत्तराब्धितटायातदूतवर्णितगुह्यकम्

The avenues leading to the sacrificial grounds resounded with the deep, victorious tones of musical instruments, and the caves echoed with the jubilant clamor of bards and singers.
गेयवाद्योद्यतध्वानप्रध्वनद्गगनान्तरम् । हयहस्तिरथावारिरजोमेघघनाम्बरम्
The sky was filled with the rising sounds of singing and instrumental music, and clouds of dust, stirred by horses, elephants, and chariots, hung thick like heavy clouds.
पुष्पकर्पूरधूमोत्थगन्धामोदितपर्वतम् । सर्वमण्डलसम्भाररचितानेकशासनम्
Mountains were perfumed with the fragrance of flowers, camphor, and incense smoke; everywhere, various edicts and decrees were established for the order of the entire realm.
यशःकर्पूरजलधिसुशुक्लाम्बरपर्षदम् । रोदसीस्तम्भभूतैकस्वप्रभावजितार्ककम्
The assembly was adorned with attendants dressed in garments as white as camphor and ocean foam, and its radiance, like a pillar between earth and sky, surpassed even the brilliance of the sun.
आरम्भमन्थरोदारकार्यसंव्यग्रभूमिपम् । नानानगरनिर्माणसोद्योगस्थपतीश्वरम्
The king was wholly engaged in grand undertakings, surrounded by master architects intent on constructing many different cities.
पपाताथ महारम्भां सा तां नरपतेस् सभाम् । व्योमात्मिका व्योममयीं मिहिकेवाम्बराटवीम्
Then, that great and wondrous assembly, celestial and made of sky itself, descended like a misty forest in the heavens.
भ्रमन्तीं तत्र ताम् अग्रे ददृशुस् ते न केचन । अन्यसङ्कल्परचितां पुरुषाः कामिनीम् इव
As it moved there, none of the people saw it before them, for it was created by another's imagination, like a woman seen only in dreams.
तथा ते तां न ददृशुस् सञ्चरन्तीं पुरोगताम् । अन्यसङ्कल्परचितां मध्ये स्वनगरीं यथा
In the same way, they did not see her moving ahead, as she was fashioned by another's imagination, just as one does not see one's own city while in the midst of it.
प्राक्तनान् एव तान् सर्वान् सा ददर्श पुरोगतान् । भूभृतैव समं प्राप्तान् नगरान् नगरान्तरम्
She saw all those who had gone ahead, just as a king, upon arriving at another city, sees those who have arrived together with him.
