Her body, fierce and bristling with the hairs of gods, demons, and serpents, could not remain still, like a spinning wheel.
She, adorned with the sacred thread of various powers, knowledge, and sacrifices, moved through the sky, resounding with the roar of thunderclouds.
There, earth became sky and sky became earth, each reflecting the other within, yet nothing truly changed.
From the great cavern of her nose issued deep, rumbling sounds; there, fierce winds blew, causing the thunderous roar.
The sky, with hundreds of her hands, shines as if filled with leaves stirred by fierce winds, swirling in four-fold cycles of dance.
From the confusion and agitation caused by the movement of her limbs and the objects of the world, even my steady gaze was clouded, as if stunned like a soldier in battle.
Mountains are cast away like machines, falling through the sky; celestial abodes tumble and roll when her body's mirror is disturbed.
The Meru mountains, arrayed like leaves, the Malaya hills like fresh shoots, the Himalayas like clusters of snow, and the earth's surface like strands of ocean.
The Sahya mountains move over the land like birds, the Vindhyas like the dwellings of celestial beings, and the starry peaks wander within, like swans in the sky.
Even the continents appear like blades of grass, the oceans like rings, and the abodes of the gods like lotuses floating in the waters of her body.
On her vast thighs, radiant as clear sky and resembling a city of dreams painted with black, the clusters shine with the brilliance of a crystal.
Vindhya dances in the golden mountain forests, Sahya on the earth, Kailasa, Malaya, and Mahendra on their peaks, Krauncha and Mandara, Gokarna in the sky's expanse, the earth in the cities of celestial beings—all the forests and lands became animated within her body at that time.
The ocean dances upon the mountain, and the mountain itself rises high within the vault of the sky; the heavens are adorned with the moon, sun, and stars, while the earth lies below. The continents, mountains, cities, and forests, with their scattered flowers, whirl in the sky, and the world spins like a blade of grass in the wheel of directions, as if afloat in the ocean.
Mountains and oceans wander in the sky, along with the boundaries of directions and realms, and the circles of cities and towns. Rivers, lakes, and ponds, together with clusters of grass and leaves scattered by the wind, move in succession everywhere.
Fishes swim in the sea as if in a splendid stream, and cities appear fixed in the sky as they do on earth. The earth is below, and the sky above is filled with inexhaustible waters, while mountains are turned by stormy winds and stand within it.
The cluster of stars spins like the mechanism of a thousand lamps, beautiful as a cloud showering jewels. Both inside and outside, startled and affectionate, it is released like a rain of flowers by the hosts of vidyādharas and gods.
The cycles of dissolution and creation, divided into day and night, shine like drops; the nights resemble dots, and the days are like rays. Black and white, all around, they gleam in confusion, like the reflection of a spotless white and black mirror.
Jewels, the circles of the sun and moon, clusters of stars, and garlands bearing flickering radiance, along with transparent garments and vast, folded skies, continually create countless streaks like marks of fire.
The gems of the three worlds, tossed about by the time of the end of the age, produce a constant clattering sound with their revolutions. Radiant energies, always moving upward and downward, take on various forms, possessing qualities and serving as ornaments.
The tumult of people is heard among even the most stable ones, as the waves of sword-blades shimmer darkly in the battles of warriors intoxicated by war, and the commotion arises from the revolutions of the crowds.
Brahma, Indra, Vishnu, Shiva, Agni, the Sun, the Moon, gods and demons—all rush forth in endless cycles, each approaching and departing from one another, like swarms of mosquitoes scattered by the wind.
Destruction, creation, pleasure, pain, existence, non-existence, effort, inactivity, prohibition, prescription, birth, death, delusion—all these, together and separately, always manifest; even when mingled, their distinct natures remain.
The arising, sustaining, and dissolution of states, the confusion of causes, the creation and destruction of worlds—all these are merely apparent in the sky-like bodies, and here, not even the slightest trace of real enumeration is found.
Calamity, peace, death, celebration, war, equality, enmity, attachment, fear, trust, and so forth—all shine together in one place like a treasury of jewels, an unending succession of diverse flavors without obstruction.
Within that form made of the sky of consciousness, the manifest experiences and arrangements of the world, which are its own nature, flash all around, like the flickering of dust motes in a sunbeam, tainted by creation and destruction.
The world appears agitated and unagitated, with both movement and stillness, like the reflection of a moving monkey in a mirror, yet remaining unmoved.
Even those entities that seem to dance, stand, or be purified within, continually abandon and assume their states, just as the creations of a child's imagination do.
Within the body of action and power, constantly purified, the clusters of the world, like heaps of grain, form and then scatter endlessly.
For a moment she is perceived as something, then for a moment as nothing at all; for a moment she is the size of a thumb, for a moment she fills all space.
Because she is that measuring power, the goddess, the energy of consciousness, pervading the universe—endless, with a body pure as the supreme expanse.
