It expands as mind, intellect, senses, and objects, just as water manifests as waves, droplets, and surges within itself.
The existence of the elements and objects of the world shines within it; whatever this is, that is truly the supreme form of the great consciousness.
This great lioness of pure consciousness abides, equally manifest, established in the expansion of the world, by none other than herself alone.
Apart from That, no other existence is possible here—just as, for various golden ornaments, there is truly no substance other than gold.
As She arises, so does She perceive Herself—by Her own mind, by Her fluidity, becoming like a wave and so forth in water.
From the great mind, the world seems to arise from consciousness, yet does not truly arise; it is of that very nature, like a whirlpool with form in the ocean, from the water.
Thus, I am pure consciousness alone, spread out as the absence of 'I'; for That, there is no birth or death, nor any existence in the states of being or non-being.
For this sky of pure consciousness, there can never be destruction; this self of consciousness is unbreakable, unburnable, eternal, and ever-pure.
Ah, indeed, after a long time, I am at peace, fully extinguished; with all thoughts dispelled, I rest liberated, like the still ocean.
Relying on the effortless sky of the Self—appearing as unreal, utterly clear, infinite, unborn, and unchanging—I delight for a long time.
This infinite space, and the mass of elements such as mountains, the world filled with gods and demons—all of this is composed of that, uncontrived.
Just as an army made of clay figures is nothing but clay, so too the existence of seer, seen, and seeing is solely of the nature of pure consciousness.
This unity, this duality, the notions 'I am' or 'I am not'—who here is deluded or confused, how, by whom, from where, and in what way?
I am established in that infinite, effortless, tranquil space; I am extinguished in supreme extinction, truly resting, free from affliction.
Whether one conceives of something as insentient or sentient, whatever name is applied, its true nature is existence alone, abiding in the great consciousness as itself.
By that, here, neither I nor another exists, nor is there arising of being or non-being; all is peaceful, without support, established as the supreme alone.
Thus, absorbed in inquiry and supreme realization, having understood the supreme Self as it is, she became peaceful, with passion, fear, delusion, and mental agitation stilled, like a line drawn on autumn sky.
Day by day, through delight in her own Self, and constant inwardness, she remained established in her natural state.
Free from passion, free from pain and attachment, beyond duality, without striving—she neither abandons nor grasps, but moves according to her own nature.
Having crossed the ocean of becoming, her web of doubts stilled, her inner being was completely filled with the supreme gain of the highest Self.
Having found rest after long fatigue, established in the state of dense realization, she transcended all comparison and reached inexpressibility.
Thus, that queen Cūḍālā, radiant in beauty, in a very short time attained the state where all that is to be known is known.
She understood how some vibration of waking arises, and how all this dissolves—she shone, having known that.
Having attained rest in the state where all delusions are unseen, she shone, free of agitation, like a clear autumn cloud.
With undisturbed vision, her own self assured in itself, she stood firm like an old mountain on a grassy peak.
By the force of deep practice in discernment and the arising of the Self, she shone beautifully, like a newly blossomed flowering vine.
Then, once, Śikhidhvaja, beholding her flawless form and unprecedented beauty, spoke with a smile.
Again and again you shine, slender one, as if endowed with youth, as if adorned, as if you possessed the sovereignty of the world.
You appear, beloved, as one who has drunk the essence of immortality, attained the unattainable state, and is filled with the fullness of bliss.
Bearing a tranquil and lovely body, O beautiful one, you surpass even the moon in radiance and possess a splendor beyond compare.
