With whatever flowers of action and conduct are available, the worship of the Self, though interrupted, is never truly broken for me, day or night.

When great suffering arises from the loss of wealth and friends, O noble one, hold firmly to this perspective and engage in reflection.
One should not be affected by pleasure or pain, nor by the rise or fall of wealth and friends; in this way, all perceptions of worldly existence are always of this nature.
You should know well the various courses of sense-objects, how they come, how they go, and how they bring about affliction.
In the same way, affections and wealth arise and cease; they are diminished by unforeseen causes just so.
They are not yours, nor are you theirs; you are pure, and these are activities of the world. This world is thus—why do you grieve in vain?
You alone are the form of the world, pure consciousness of manifold expression; when all is your own manifestation, what place is there for joy or sorrow?
Having attained the uninterrupted state of pure consciousness, which is like deep sleep, from this day onward, O Rama, become one whose nature is the fourth state.
Calm, with an even appearance, radiant in form, noble in intellect, his conduct ever steadfast in the Self, he stands, like the ocean, ever full.
All this you have now heard, and you stand with a mind that is completely fulfilled; if you wish to ask anything further, then ask, O delight of the Raghus.
That question you asked at the beginning of this cycle—how can impurity exist in the infinite forms of Brahman—now put it forth again.
Now, O Brahman, all doubt has been especially dispelled; all that is to be known has been known, and a natural contentment has arisen.
There is no impurity, no duality, no unity, nor any imagination in the Self; then, ignorance was mine, but now it is pacified.
The delusion that impurity exists in the Self, which was due to my ignorance, is now removed by your grace.
The Self is neither born nor does it die, nor is it ever tainted; and I have declared that all is indeed of the nature of Brahman.
From all questions, doubts, and desires, my mind has become pure, as if the craftsman’s wheel has ceased its whirling.
In all the essential teachings that have mostly been spoken by the noble ones, I remain inwardly free from longing, like Mount Sumeru among heaps of gold.
There is nothing in which hope abides, nothing that is desired, nothing to be accepted, rejected, or regarded as neutral for me.
The restless thoughts—'this is to be rejected, this to be accepted, this is real, this is unreal'—have been completely stilled, O wise sage, in the most subtle way.
I neither desire heaven nor do I hate hell; I abide in my own self, like the cloud resting on Mount Mandara.
The ocean of milk, scattered in drops across the three worlds, has come to rest after long agitation, free from confusion, like Mount Mandara for Rama.
For the one whose mind is filled with endless calculations—'this is unreal, this is real, this belongs to me'—a dense net of doubt blazes ever more fiercely in the heart.
He by whom it is truly known, 'thus is this world,' O lord of sages, wherever he goes, the misery of the world does not reach him.
By your grace, O Blessed One, we have crossed the ocean of becoming, with its waves of bewildering turmoil and the transformations of dullness.
We have recognized the limit of prosperity and seen the boundary of adversity; in the essence of all things, we are neither lacking nor incomplete, but fulfilled and supreme.
The mind has attained steadfastness in the battle of worldly existence, possessing the highest, unbreakable courage, like an elephant undisturbed by blows from others.
My mind, free from all doubts and desires, possessing unwavering essence, renowned and victorious in the three worlds, rejoices inwardly in the unsurpassed state.
Whatever you do with the senses and with a mind engaged in external objects, but without attachment, is not truly done.
