The highest fullness, the power of Shiva, the victory-bestowing fortune, the might of Vishnu, the mind-born power, the swift-moving strength, and the force of the wind—
The fiery power is the capacity to burn, the milky one is the delight of taste; the silent one is the attainment of great austerity, and the Brāhaspati-like is knowledge.
The aerial is movement through the sky, the mountain-born is steadfastness; the oceanic is depth, and the Meru-like is great elevation.
The prosperous is even fortune, the Buddhist is gentleness, the intoxicating is passionate restlessness; the spring-like is flowerfulness, and the autumnal is abundance of ripened grain.
The Yaksha-like is illusoriness, the sky-like is stainlessness; the wintry is coldness, and the summer-like is the intensity of heat.
And so, there are many others as well, whose nature is formed by place, time, and action; arising in various forms and modifications, they exist within the womb of the three times.
These diverse powers, clear and of their own nature, unchanging, are enacted by consciousness through the supreme, measureless art, free from calculation.
Consciousness, free from conceptualization, pervades equally all the hundreds of objects, just as sunlight falls impartially.
The multitude of objects, resting within the treasury of all desires, and untouched by the threefold time, is experienced by the earth in a single moment.
Thus, pure consciousness, which is established in all states of the vast world-appearance and remains untouched across the three times, perceives everything as its own essence.
The pure mind, ever complete, experiences countless joys, being unaffected by distinctions of past, present, and future, and is free from the calculations of time.
When consciousness is untouched by the three times and witnesses infinite perceptions, only fullness, which is another name for equanimity, remains.
Whether gentle or harsh, consciousness that perceives equally in all times attains equanimity, just as one who experiences the essence of honey.
By abandoning the play of thoughts and resting in the subtle state of consciousness, which follows all states and has the single form of nondual existence, one attains equanimity.
Even the diverse splendor of objects, interwoven with each other, is experienced with sameness through equal perception at all times.
By relying on one state, another state abandons sorrow; seeing a state through its absence, another state abandons satisfaction.
When the three times are disregarded and the bonds of thought are diminished, only equanimity remains in consciousness through the neglect of objects.
It passes beyond the reach of speech, as if attaining a state of eternal nonexistence; it abides as though entering the condition established by the doctrine of non-self.
In this way, the Self becomes Brahman, or nothing at all, or even the entirety; when merged in the highest quiescence, it is spoken of as 'liberation.'
But this world, arising from imagination, appears only as a faint semblance; consciousness, veiled by illusion, does not see this rightly, like vision obscured by a covering.
That consciousness, enveloped within by impurities made of desire and aversion, is truly unable to rise up, like a bird bound by a tether.
Indeed, all these people, through the fabrication of imagination, have fallen into the net of delusion, like birds deprived of sight.
This path, obstructed by the snares of imagination and the guards of sense-objects, was not seen by my forefathers.
After flickering for only a few days upon the earth, those wretches are lost by that (delusion), like gnats in crevices.
If those seekers of pleasure and pain had known the truth, they would not have fallen, their hopes destroyed, into the dark pits of existence and nonexistence.
Creatures, overcome by the duality and delusion arising from desire and aversion, become like insects fallen into a crevice in the earth.
For one whose mind's fabrications—actions done and undone, and the mirage of calculation—have been stilled by the cloud of true understanding, that one truly lives.
How could there be any stains or heat of imagined blemishes in this pure, uninterrupted, stainless radiance—like the light of the moon?
Salutations to my own Self, the undivided consciousness-Self; O divine jewel of the seen and unseen worlds, at last you have been attained—how wondrous!
You have been touched, found, revealed, and after long ages, rescued from all doubts; you are what you are—salutations to you!
