दुर्जयः पुण्डरीकाक्षः प्रविमुक्तायुधो ऽपि सन् । नासौ शस्त्रास्त्रविच्छेदैर् वज्रसारो विदीर्यते
The lotus-eyed one is unconquerable; even when deprived of weapons, he is not shattered by the breaking of missiles and arms, for his essence is like a diamond.
अभ्यस्ता बहवस् तेन मिथःप्रेरितपर्वताः । भीमास् समरसंरम्भास् समम् अस्मत्पितामहैः
Many fierce battles have been practiced by him, with mountains hurled against each other, equally matched with our forefathers.
तासु तास्व् अतिघोरासु विततास्व् असुराजिषु । यो न भीत इदानीं स भयम् एष्यति का कथा
In those exceedingly terrible and widespread battles among the demon armies, whoever is not afraid now will surely come to fear; what more need be said?
उपायम् एकम् एवेमं हरेर् आक्रमणे स्फुटम् । मन्ये तद्व्यतिरेकेण विद्यते न प्रतिक्रिया
I consider this one clear method alone for attacking Hari; apart from this, there is no other remedy.
सर्वात्मना सर्वधिया सर्वसंरम्भरंहसा । स एव शरणं देवो गतिर् अस्तीह नान्यथा
With all one's being, all one's mind, and the full force of all one's effort, only that god is the refuge; there is no other way here.
न तस्माद् अधिकः कश्चिद् अस्ति लोकत्रयान्तरे । प्रलयस्थितिसर्गाणां हरिः कारणतां गतः
There is none greater than him in the three worlds; Hari has become the cause of dissolution, preservation, and creation.
तस्मान् निमेषाद् आरभ्य नारायणम् अजं सदा । सम्प्रपन्नो ऽस्मि सर्वत्र नारायणमयो ह्य् अहम्
Therefore, from the very blink of an eye, I have always approached Narayana, the unborn; everywhere, I am indeed filled with Narayana.
नमो नारायणायेति मन्त्रस् सर्वार्थसाधकः । नापैति मम हृत्कोशाद् आकाशाद् इव मारुतः
The mantra 'Salutations to Narayana' accomplishes all purposes; it never departs from the core of my heart, just as the wind does not leave the sky.
हरिर् आशा हरिर् व्योम हरिर् उर्वी हरिर् जगत् । अयं हरिर् अमेयात्मा जातो हरिमयो ह्य् अहम्
Hari is hope, Hari is space, Hari is earth, Hari is the world; this Hari is of immeasurable essence, and I am indeed composed of Hari.
अविष्णुः पूजयन् विष्णुं न पूजाफलभाग् भवेत् । विष्णुर् भूत्वा यजेद् विष्णुम् अयं विष्णुर् अहं स्थितः
One who is not Vishnu, worshipping Vishnu, does not partake of the fruits of worship; becoming Vishnu, one should worship Vishnu—this Vishnu, I am established as.
अनन्तम् इदम् आकाशम् आपूर्य विनतासुतः । कनकाङ्गो ममाङ्गानाम् अयम् आसनतां गतः
Filling this infinite sky, the son of Vinata, with a golden body, has assumed the seat among my limbs.
करशाखैकविश्रान्तसर्वहेतिविहङ्गमाः । नखांशुमञ्जरीकीर्णा महामरकतद्रुमाः
Birds resting on the branches of my hands, the causes of all, adorned with clusters of rays from my nails, are great emerald trees.
इमे ते मृदुमन्दारदामदृब्धांसमण्डलाः । मन्दराघृष्टकेयूराश् चत्वारो मम बाहवः
These four arms of mine are soft, adorned with gentle mandara flowers, circles of Dama gems, and bracelets rubbed against Mandara mountain.
चलच्छशिकरापूरचारुचामरधारिणी । इयं मे पार्श्वगा लक्ष्मीः क्षीरोदजठरोत्थिता
This goddess Lakshmi, adorned with a charming chowrie made of moving moonbeams, stands at my side, having arisen from the ocean of milk.
हेलाविलब्धभुवना त्रैलोक्यतरुमञ्जरी । इयं मे पार्श्वगा कीर्तिर् धवलामलहासिनी
This goddess of fame, radiant and pure, whose smile is spotless, who has playfully gained the worlds and is the blossom of the wish-fulfilling tree of the three realms, stands at my side.
अनारतं जगज्जालनवनिर्माणकारिणी । इयं मे पार्श्वगा माया स्वेन्द्रजालविलासिनी
This goddess Māyā, ever engaged in creating the web of the world anew, who delights in wondrous illusions, stands at my side.
इयं सा हेलयाक्रान्तत्रैलोक्यतरुषण्डिका । जया स्फुरति मे पार्श्वे लता कल्पतरोर् इव
This is Jaya, who with ease has conquered the grove of wish-fulfilling trees of the three worlds; she shines beside me like a vine of the celestial tree.
इमौ मे नित्यशीतोष्णौ देवौ शीतांशुभास्करौ । प्रकटीकृतसंसारौ मुखमध्ये विलोचने
Here are the two gods, the cool-rayed moon and the radiant sun, ever present for me, manifesting the world of experience as the two eyes in the midst of my face.
ममेयम् उत्पलश्यामा पीनाम्भोधरसुन्दरी । श्यामीकृतककुप्चक्रा देहदीप्तिर् विसारिणी
This dark-blue goddess, beautiful as a swollen rain cloud and lotus-hued, is my own; her radiance spreads, turning the quarters dusky.
अयं मम करे शङ्खः पाञ्चजन्यस् स्फुरद्ध्वनिः । मूर्तं खम् इव शब्दात्म क्षीरोद इव संस्थितः
Here in my hand is the conch Pāñcajanya, resounding with vibrant tones, tangible like space embodied in sound, resting as if arisen from the ocean of milk.
अयं मे कर्णिकाकोशनिलीनब्रह्मषट्पदः । पद्मः करतले श्रीमान् स्वनाभिकुहरोद्भवः
Here in my palm is the splendid lotus, born from the depths of its own navel, whose core shelters the bee of Brahman.
इयं मे रत्नचित्राङ्गी सुमेरुशिखरोपमा । हेमाङ्गदा गदा गुर्वी दैत्यदानवमर्दिनी
This mace of mine, adorned with jewels and resembling the peak of Mount Sumeru, is golden, heavy, and crushes the demons and danavas.
अयं मे भासुराकारस् सुखदृश्यस् सुदर्शनः । ज्वालाजटिलपर्यन्तपरिपाटलदिक्तटः
This one of mine, radiant in form, pleasing to behold, is beautiful; its ends are tangled with flames, and its sides are tinged with red.
अयं मे केतुमद्वह्निसुन्दरो ज्वलितो ऽसितः । कुठारो दैत्यवृक्षाणां नन्दयन् नन्दकस् स्थितः
This axe of mine, bearing a banner and blazing with fire, is dark and splendid; it delights in felling the demon-trees and stands as the joyous Nandaka.
इदं मच्छरधाराणां पुष्करावर्तको घनः । शार्ङ्गं धनुर् अहीन्द्राभम् इन्द्रकार्मुकसुन्दरम्
This dense whirlpool of mine, formed by the streams of my arrows, is like a lotus; the bow Sharnga, resembling the king of serpents, is beautiful like Indra’s bow.
इमान्य् अहम् अनन्तानि जगन्ति जठरे चिरम् । बिभर्मि जातनष्टानि वर्तमानान्य् अनेकशः
I have long carried countless worlds within my belly—born, destroyed, and existing in many ways.
इमौ मही मे चरणाव् इदं मे गगनं शिरः । इदं वपुर् मे त्रिजगद् इमा मे कुक्षयो दिशः
These feet of mine are the earth; this head of mine is the sky; this body of mine is the three worlds; these sides of mine are the directions.
साक्षाद् अयम् अहं विष्णुर् नीलमेघोदरद्युतिः । सुपर्णपर्वतारूढश् शङ्खचक्रगदाधरः
I am directly Vishnu, radiant like the belly of a dark cloud, mounted upon the mountain with Garuda, holding the conch, discus, and mace.
एते मत्तः पलायन्ते समग्रा दुष्टचेतसः । तार्णास् तरलसञ्चाराः पवनाद् इव राशयः
All those with wicked minds flee from me; they are swept away, moving swiftly like heaps of dust driven by the wind.
अयम् इन्दीवरश्यामः पीतवासा गदाधरः । लक्ष्मीवान् गरुडारूढस् स्वयम् एवाहम् अच्युतः
This very one, dark as a blue lotus, clad in yellow garments, bearing the mace, endowed with fortune, mounted upon Garuda, is myself—Acyuta.
