प्रसिद्धेश् च
And because it is well-known.
इतरपरामर्शात् स इति चेन् नासंभवात्
If it is said, 'because of reference to another', it is not possible.
उत्तराच् चेद् आविर्भूतस्वरूपस् तु
If it is after, then the true nature is manifested.
अन्यार्थश् च परामर्शः
And the reference is for another purpose.
अल्पश्रुतेर् इति चेत् तद् उक्तम्
If it is said, 'because of little mention', that has already been explained.
अनुकृतेस् तस्य च
Because of imitation, and of that also.
अपि च स्मर्यते
Moreover, it is remembered.
शब्दाद् एव प्रमितः
Indeed, it is ascertained from the word alone.
हृद्यपेक्षया तु मनुष्याधिकारत्वात्
But with reference to the heart, because the eligibility is for humans.
तदुपर्य् अपि बादरायणः संभवात्
Even above that, Bādarāyaṇa says, because it is possible.
विरोधः कर्मणीति चेन् नानेकप्रतिपत्तेर् दर्शनात्
If it is argued that there is contradiction with action, that is not so, because various applications are observed.
शब्द इति चेन् नातः प्रभवात् प्रत्यक्षानुमानाभ्याम्
If it is said that it is mere sound, that is not so, because its origin is established by direct perception and inference.
अत एव च नित्यत्वम्
Therefore, it is eternal.
समाननामरूपत्वाच्चावृत्तावप्यविरोधो दर्शनात् स्मृतेश् च
Because of sameness in name and form, even in repetition there is no contradiction, as is seen and remembered.
मध्वादिष्व् असंभवाद् अनधिकारं जैमिनिः
Jaimini holds there is no eligibility in cases like honey, because it is impossible.
ज्योतिषि भावाच् च
But because of existence in the Jyotis sacrifice.
भावं तु बादरायणो ऽस्ति हि
Bādarāyaṇa holds that existence is indeed there.
शुगस्य तदनादरश्रवणात् तदाद्रवणात् सूच्यते हि
Because disregard and melting of the sugar are heard, and because it melts, it is indicated.
क्षत्रियत्वगतेश् च
And because the status of Kṣatriya is attained.
उत्तरत्र चैत्ररथेन लिङ्गात्
And later, because of the indication by Citraratha.
संस्कारपरामर्शात् तदभावाभिलापाच् च
Because of reference to purification, and because absence is spoken of.
तदभावनिर्धारणे च प्रवृत्तेः
And because activity is determined by the absence.
श्रवणाध्ययनार्थप्रतिषेधात्
Because hearing and study are prohibited.
स्मृतेश् च
And because of tradition.
कम्पनात्
Because of trembling.
ज्योतिर् दर्शनात्
Because light is seen.
आकाशो ऽर्थान्तरत्वादिव्यपदेशात्
Because space is referred to as something different and by other designations.
सुषुप्त्युत्क्रान्त्योर् भेदेन
Because of distinction in deep sleep and departure.
पत्यादिशब्देभ्यः
From words such as 'lord' and others.
आनुमानिकम् अप्य् एकेषाम् इति चेन् न शरीर-रूपक-विन्यस्त-गृहीतेर् दर्शयति च
If it is said that for some, it is also inferred, that is not so, because the acceptance is established through the analogy of the body, and this is also shown.
