साक्षाद् अप्य् अविरोधं जैमिनिः
Even if directly, there is no contradiction, says Jaimini.
अभिव्यक्तेर् इत्य् आश्मरथ्यः
Because of manifestation, says Āśmarathya.
अनुस्मृतेर् बादरिः
Because of recollection, says Bādari.
संपत्तेर् इति जैमिनिस् तथा हि दर्शयति
Because of attainment, says Jaimini; for so it is shown.
आमनन्ति चैनम् अस्मिन्
And they declare him in this context.
द्युभ्वाद्यायतनं स्वशब्दात्
The abode of heaven and earth, because of its own term.
मुक्तोपसृप्यव्यपदेशाच् च
And because of the reference to approach by the liberated.
नानुमानम् अतच्छब्दात् प्राणभृच् च
Not inference, because of the non-applicability of the term, and because it is the supporter of life.
भेदव्यपदेशात्
Because of the designation of difference.
प्रकरणात्
Because of the context.
स्थित्यदनाभ्यां च
And because of subsistence and eating.
भूमा संप्रसादाद् अध्युपदेशात्
Bhūman is taught as identical with the serene.
धर्मोपपत्तेश् च
And because of the support from righteousness.
अक्षरम् अम्बरान्तधृतेः
The imperishable, because it upholds the expanse up to the sky.
सा च प्रशासनात्
And that is so because of command.
अन्यभावव्यावृत्तेश्च
And because of the exclusion of otherness.
ईक्षतिकर्मव्यपदेशात् सः
Because of the designation of seeing and acting, it is He.
दहर उत्तरेभ्यः
The subtle one, because of the subsequent texts.
गतिशब्दाभ्यां तथा हि दृष्टं लिङ्गं च
Because of the words 'going' and 'speech', for thus the sign is seen.
धृतेश् च महिम्नो ऽस्यास्मिन्न् उपलब्धेः
And because of support, for His greatness is perceived in this.
प्रसिद्धेश् च
And because it is well-known.
इतरपरामर्शात् स इति चेन् नासंभवात्
If it is said, 'because of reference to another', it is not possible.
उत्तराच् चेद् आविर्भूतस्वरूपस् तु
If it is after, then the true nature is manifested.
अन्यार्थश् च परामर्शः
And the reference is for another purpose.
अल्पश्रुतेर् इति चेत् तद् उक्तम्
If it is said, 'because of little mention', that has already been explained.
अनुकृतेस् तस्य च
Because of imitation, and of that also.
अपि च स्मर्यते
Moreover, it is remembered.
शब्दाद् एव प्रमितः
Indeed, it is ascertained from the word alone.
हृद्यपेक्षया तु मनुष्याधिकारत्वात्
But with reference to the heart, because the eligibility is for humans.
तदुपर्य् अपि बादरायणः संभवात्
Even above that, Bādarāyaṇa says, because it is possible.
