नित्य आत्मसहायश्च देवासुरपतिः पतिः । युक्तश्च युक्तबाहुश्च देवो दिविसुपर्वणः ॥ ९० ॥
He is eternal, self-reliant, lord of gods and demons, the master; He is united, strong-armed, the god, and chief among the celestials.
आषाढश्च सुषाढश्च ध्रुवोऽथ हरिणो हरः । वपुरावर्तमानेभ्यो वसुश्रेष्ठो महापथः ॥ ९१ ॥
He is invincible, well-invincible, the constant, the tawny, the remover; His form is among the whirling worlds, best among the shining ones, and the great path.
शिरोहारी विमर्शश्च सर्वलक्षणलक्षितः । अक्षश्च रथयोगी च सर्वयोगी महाबलः ॥ ९२ ॥
Remover of heads, the One who reflects, marked by all auspicious signs; the imperishable, charioteer, master of all yogas, of great strength.
समाम्नायोऽसमाम्नायस्तीर्थदेवो महारथः । निर्जीवो जीवनो मन्त्रः शुभाक्षो बहुकर्कशः ॥ ९३ ॥
The Veda in its entirety, beyond the Veda, deity of sacred fords, mighty charioteer; devoid of life, giver of life, mantra, of auspicious vision, exceedingly severe.
रत्नप्रभूतो रक्ताङ्गो महार्णवनिपानवित् । [रत्नाङ्गो] मूलं विशालो ह्यमृतो व्यक्ताव्यक्तस्तपोनिधिः ॥ ९४ ॥
Abundant in jewels, red-limbed, knower of the great ocean's depths; root and vastness, immortal, manifest and unmanifest, repository of austerity.
आरोहणोऽधिरोहश्च शीलधारी महायशाः । सेनाकल्पो महाकल्पो योगो युगकरो हरिः ॥ ९५ ॥ [योगकरो]
He who ascends, the one who causes ascent, upholder of virtue, of great renown; like an army, like a great age, yoga, maker of ages, remover of affliction.
युगरूपो महारूपो महानागहनो वधः । न्यायनिर्वपणः पादः पण्डितो ह्यचलोपमः ॥ ९६ ॥
He who is the form of the ages, of great form, the vast and impenetrable one, destruction itself; the establisher of justice, the foundation, the wise one, indeed steadfast as a mountain.
बहुमालो महामालः शशी हरसुलोचनः । विस्तारो लवणः कूपस्त्रियुगः सफलोदयः ॥ ९७ ॥
He who is adorned with many garlands, with a great garland, who is the moon, whose eyes are the sun and moon; who is vast, saline, a well, the pair of ages, and the one whose arising bears fruit.
त्रिलोचनो विषण्णाङ्गो मणिविद्धो जटाधरः । बिन्दुर्विसर्गः सुमुखः शरः सर्वायुधः सहः ॥ ९८ ॥
He who has three eyes, whose limbs are marked by poison, who is adorned with jewels, who bears matted hair; who is the dot and the visarga, of auspicious face, an arrow, armed with all weapons, and enduring.
निवेदनः सुखाजातः सुगन्धारो महाधनुः । गन्धपाली च भगवानुत्थानः सर्वकर्मणाम् ॥ ९९ ॥
He who is offering, born of happiness, the bearer of sweet fragrance, the great bow; the guardian of fragrance, the divine one, the originator, and the doer of all actions.
मन्थानो बहुलो वायुः सकलः सर्वलोचनः । तलस्तालः करस्थाली ऊर्ध्वसंहननो महान् ॥ १०० ॥
He is the churner, abundant, the wind, all-encompassing, the all-seeing; He is Tala, Tāla, the hand cymbal, the one whose upper body is powerful, the great one.
छत्रं सुच्छत्रो विख्यातो लोकः सर्वाश्रयः क्रमः । मुण्डो विरूपो विकृतो दण्डी कुण्डी विकुर्वणः ॥ १०१ ॥
He is the umbrella, the excellent umbrella, the renowned one, the world, the refuge of all, the order; He is shaven-headed, deformed, misshapen, staff-bearing, water-pot-bearing, and the transformer.
हर्यक्षः ककुभो वज्री शतजिह्वः सहस्रपात् । सहस्रमूर्धा देवेन्द्रः सर्वदेवमयो गुरुः ॥ १०२ ॥
He is Haryakṣa, the directions, wielder of the thunderbolt, hundred-tongued, thousand-footed, thousand-headed, lord of the gods, the embodiment of all gods, the teacher.
सहस्रबाहुः सर्वाङ्गः शरण्यः सर्वलोककृत् । पवित्रं त्रिककुन्मन्त्रः कनिष्ठः कृष्णपिङ्गलः ॥ १०३ ॥
He is thousand-armed, all-limbed, the giver of refuge, creator of all worlds; He is the pure one, the three-syllabled mantra, the youngest, dark and tawny.
ब्रह्मदण्डविनिर्माता शतघ्नीपाशशक्तिमान् । पद्मगर्भो महागर्भो ब्रह्मगर्भो जलोद्भवः ॥ १०४ ॥
He is the creator of the staff of Brahma, possessed of weapons such as the hundred-killer, the noose, and the spear; he is the womb of the lotus, the great womb, the womb of Brahma, and born from water.
गभस्तिर्ब्रह्मकृद्ब्रह्मी ब्रह्मविद्ब्राह्मणो गतिः । अनन्तरूपो नैकात्मा तिग्मतेजाः स्वयम्भुवः ॥ १०५ ॥
He is radiant; the creator of Brahma; associated with Brahma; knower of Brahma; the path of the Brahmin; of infinite forms; of manifold selves; fiercely brilliant; self-born.
ऊर्ध्वगात्मा पशुपतिर्वातरंहा मनोजवः । चन्दनी पद्मनालाग्रः सुरभ्युत्तरणो नरः ॥ १०६ ॥
He is the upward-moving soul; lord of creatures; swift as the wind; speed of the mind; sandal-scented; tip of the lotus stalk; surpassing fragrance; the man.
कर्णिकारमहास्रग्वी नीलमौलिः पिनाकधृत् । उमापतिरुमाकान्तो जाह्नवीधृदुमाधवः ॥ १०७ ॥
He wears a great garland of karṇikāra flowers; crowned with blue; bearer of the Pināka bow; husband of Umā; beloved of Umā; bearer of the river Jāhnavī; the consort of Umā.
वरो वराहो वरदो वरेण्यः सुमहास्वनः । महाप्रसादो दमनः शत्रुहा श्वेतपिङ्गलः ॥ १०८ ॥
He who is the best, the boar, the giver of boons, the most excellent; of mighty voice, of great grace, the subduer, destroyer of enemies, white and tawny.
पीतात्मा परमात्मा च प्रयतात्मा प्रधानधृत् । [प्रीतात्मा] सर्वपार्श्वमुखस्त्र्यक्षो धर्मसाधारणो वरः ॥ १०९ ॥
He whose essence is golden, the supreme self, the pure-hearted, the sustainer of primordial matter; whose soul is pleased, who faces all directions, three-eyed, the foundation of righteousness, the choicest.
चराचरात्मा सूक्ष्मात्मा अमृतो गोवृषेश्वरः । साध्यर्षिर्वसुरादित्यो विवस्वान्सवितामृतः ॥ ११० ॥
He whose self pervades the moving and unmoving, the subtle self, the immortal, lord of the sacred bull; the sage among the Sādhyas, Vasus, and Ādityas, the radiant one, the sun, the immortal.
व्यासः सर्गः सुसङ्क्षेपो विस्तरः पर्ययो नरः । ऋतुः संवत्सरो मासः पक्षः सङ्ख्यासमापनः ॥ १११ ॥
He is Vyāsa, creation, concise summary, expansion, change, man; the season, the year, the month, the fortnight, the completion of enumeration.
कला काष्ठा लवा मात्रा मुहूर्ताहः क्षपाः क्षणाः । विश्वक्षेत्रं प्रजाबीजं लिङ्गमाद्यस्तु निर्गमः ॥ ११२ ॥
He is the divisions of time: kalā, kāṣṭhā, lava, mātrā, muhūrta, ahaḥ, kṣapā, and kṣaṇa; the field of the universe, the seed of all beings, the primal liṅga, and the origin of all emergence.
सदसद्व्यक्तमव्यक्तं पिता माता पितामहः । स्वर्गद्वारं प्रजाद्वारं मोक्षद्वारं त्रिविष्टपम् ॥ ११३ ॥
He is existence and non-existence, manifest and unmanifest, father, mother, and grandfather; the gate to heaven, the gate to beings, the gate to liberation, and the highest realm.
निर्वाणं ह्लादनश्चैव ब्रह्मलोकः परा गतिः । देवासुरविनिर्माता देवासुरपरायणः ॥ ११४ ॥
He is nirvāṇa and delight, the world of Brahma and the supreme path; the creator of gods and demons, and the ultimate refuge of gods and demons.
देवासुरगुरुर्देवो देवासुरनमस्कृतः । देवासुरमहामात्रो देवासुरगणाश्रयः ॥ ११५ ॥
He is the teacher of gods and demons, the deity worshipped by gods and demons, the great measure among gods and demons, and the shelter of the hosts of gods and demons.
देवासुरगणाध्यक्षो देवासुरगणाग्रणीः । देवातिदेवो देवर्षिर्देवासुरवरप्रदः ॥ ११६ ॥ [देवादि]
He is the overseer of the hosts of gods and asuras, the foremost among the hosts of gods and asuras, the god above all gods, the divine sage, and the bestower of boons to gods and asuras.
देवासुरेश्वरो विश्वो देवासुरमहेश्वरः । सर्वदेवमयोऽचिन्त्यो देवतात्माऽऽत्मसम्भवः ॥ ११७ ॥
He is the lord of gods and asuras, the all-pervading one, the great lord of gods and asuras, composed of all the gods, inconceivable, the very soul of the divine powers, and self-born.
उद्भित्त्रिविक्रमो वैद्यो विरजो नीरजोऽमरः । ईड्यो हस्तीश्वरो व्याघ्रो देवसिंहो नरर्षभः ॥ ११८ ॥
He is the sprouter, the one of three strides, the healer, stainless, taintless, immortal, worthy of praise, lord of elephants, tiger, lion among gods, and the bull among men.
विबुधोऽग्रवरः सूक्ष्मः सर्वदेवस्तपोमयः । सुयुक्तः शोभनो वज्री प्रासानां प्रभवोऽव्ययः ॥ ११९ ॥
He is wise, the foremost and best, subtle, composed of all the gods, of the essence of austerity, well-equipped, splendid, wielder of the thunderbolt, origin of spears, and imperishable.
