अष्टमूर्तिर् अजाजैत्री लोकयात्राविधायिनी । ओर् अजाजेत्री एकाकिनी भूमरूपा निर्द्वैता द्वैतवर्जिता
She who is of eight forms; the unconquered; the ordainer of the course of the worlds; the solitary one; whose form is earth; non-dual; free from duality.
अन्नदा वसुदा वृद्धा ब्रह्मात्मैक्यस्वरूपिणी । बृहती ब्राह्मणी ब्राह्मी ब्रह्मानन्दा बलिप्रिया
Giver of food; bestower of wealth; the ancient one; whose nature is the unity of Brahman and the Self; vast; the consort of Brahma; possessing the power of Brahma; the bliss of Brahman; fond of offerings.
भाषारूपा बृहत्सेना भावाभावविवर्जिता । सुखाराध्या शुभकरी शोभना सुलभा गतिः
She who is the form of language, who has a vast army, who is beyond being and non-being; who is easily worshipped, who brings auspiciousness, who is beautiful, who is easily attained, who is the ultimate goal.
राजराजेश्वरी राज्यदायिनी राज्यवल्लभा । राजत्कृपा राजपीठनिवेशितनिजाश्रिता
She who is the sovereign of sovereigns, who grants kingdoms, who is beloved of kings; whose compassion shines like silver, who is established on the royal throne along with her devotees.
राज्यलक्ष्मीः कोशनाथा चतुरङ्गबलेश्वरी । साम्राज्यदायिनी सत्यसन्धा सागरमेखला
She is the fortune of sovereignty, the mistress of treasures, the ruler of armies with four divisions; the bestower of empire, steadfast in truth, and girdled by the ocean.
दीक्षिता दैत्यशमनी सर्वलोकवशङ्करी । सर्वार्थदात्री सावित्री सच्चिदानन्दरूपिणी
She is initiated, the subduer of demons, the one who brings all worlds under her sway; the giver of all aims, the inspirer, and the embodiment of existence, consciousness, and bliss.
देशकालापरिच्छिन्ना सर्वगा सर्वमोहिनी । सरस्वती शास्त्रमयी गुहाम्बा गुह्यरूपिणी
She is not limited by place or time, present everywhere, the bewilderer of all; She is Sarasvati, embodied as the scriptures, the Mother of the cave, whose form is secret.
सर्वोपाधिविनिर्मुक्ता सदाशिवपतिव्रता । सम्प्रदायेश्वरी साध्वी गुरुमण्डलरूपिणी
She is free from all limiting conditions, ever devoted to Sadashiva as His consort; She is the sovereign of the tradition, virtuous, and whose form is the circle of teachers.
कुलोत्तीर्णा भगाराध्या माया मधुमती मही । गणाम्बा गुह्यकाराध्या कोमलाङ्गी गुरुप्रिया
She who transcends the Kula tradition, who is worshipped by the Sun, who is Māyā, who is sweet in nature, who is the Earth, who is the Mother of the hosts, who is worshipped by the secret practitioners, who has tender limbs, who is dear to the Guru.
स्वतन्त्रा सर्वतन्त्रेशी दक्षिणामूर्तिरूपिणी । सनकादिसमाराध्या शिवज्ञानप्रदायिनी
She who is independent, who is the sovereign of all tantras, who takes the form of Dakṣiṇāmūrti, who is worshipped by Sanaka and others, who bestows the knowledge of Śiva.
चित्कलाऽऽनन्दकलिका प्रेमरूपा प्रियङ्करी । नामपारायणप्रीता नन्दिविद्या नटेश्वरी
She is the spark of consciousness, the bud of bliss, the embodiment of love, the giver of affection; she delights in the recitation of her names, is the wisdom of joy, and the sovereign of dance.
मिथ्याजगदधिष्ठाना मुक्तिदा मुक्तिरूपिणी । लास्यप्रिया लयकरी लज्जा रम्भादिवन्दिता
She is the foundation of the illusory world, the giver of liberation, and herself the form of liberation; she delights in dance, brings dissolution, is modesty itself, and is venerated by celestial nymphs like Rambha.
भवदावसुधावृष्टिः पापारण्यदवानला । दौर्भाग्यतूलवातूला जराध्वान्तरविप्रभा
She is the rain of nectar that quenches the wildfire of worldly existence, the fire that burns down the forest of sin, the wind that scatters the cotton of misfortune, and the radiant light that dispels the darkness of old age.
भाग्याब्धिचन्द्रिका भक्तचित्तकेकिघनाघना । रोगपर्वतदम्भोलिर् मृत्युदारुकुठारिका
She is the moonlight upon the ocean of fortune, the peacock-like dark cloud in the sky of devotees’ hearts, the thunderstorm that shatters the mountain of disease, and the axe that fells the tree of death.
महेश्वरी महाकाली महाग्रासा महाशना । अपर्णा चण्डिका चण्डमुण्डासुरनिषूदिनी
She is the great sovereign, the great time-force, the great devourer, the great consumer; she is Aparna, Chandika, and the slayer of the demons Chanda and Munda.
क्षराक्षरात्मिका सर्वलोकेशी विश्वधारिणी । त्रिवर्गदात्री सुभगा त्र्यम्बका त्रिगुणात्मिका
She embodies both the perishable and the imperishable, is the ruler of all worlds, the supporter of the universe; the giver of the three aims of life, auspicious, three-eyed, and of the nature of the three qualities.
स्वर्गापवर्गदा शुद्धा जपापुष्पनिभाकृतिः । ओजोवती द्युतिधरा यज्ञरूपा प्रियव्रता
She grants heaven and liberation, is pure, has the form resembling the hibiscus flower; she is full of vigor, bears radiance, is the embodiment of sacrifice, and delights in vows.
दुराराध्या दुराधर्षा पाटलीकुसुमप्रिया । महती मेरुनिलया मन्दारकुसुमप्रिया
She is difficult to approach, impossible to overpower, fond of pāṭalī blossoms; she is great, dwells on Mount Meru, and loves mandāra flowers.
वीराराध्या विराड्रूपा विरजा विश्वतोमुखी । प्रत्यग्रूपा पराकाशा प्राणदा प्राणरूपिणी
She is worshipped by the heroic; she has the form of the cosmic being; she is free from passion; she faces all directions; she is of fresh form; she is the supreme radiance; she is the giver of life; she is the embodiment of life.
मार्ताण्डभैरवाराध्या मन्त्रिणीन्यस्तराज्यधूः । ओर् मार्तण्ड त्रिपुरेशी जयत्सेना निस्त्रैगुण्या परापरा
She is worshipped by Mārtaṇḍa Bhairava; the sovereignty is entrusted to her minister; she is the queen of Tripura for Mārtaṇḍa; she has a victorious army; she is beyond the three guṇas; she is both the transcendent and the immanent.
सत्यज्ञानानन्दरूपा सामरस्यपरायणा । कपर्दिनी कलामाला कामधुक् कामरूपिणी
She whose form is truth, knowledge, and bliss; who is devoted to perfect harmony; who is adorned with matted hair; who is garlanded with arts; who is the wish-fulfilling cow; who assumes the form of desire.
कलानिधिः काव्यकला रसज्ञा रसशेवधिः । पुष्टा पुरातना पूज्या पुष्करा पुष्करेक्षणा
She who is the treasury of arts; who is skilled in poetry; who knows the essence of taste; who is the repository of flavor; who is nourished; who is ancient; who is worthy of worship; who is like a lotus; who has lotus-like eyes.
परंज्योतिः परंधाम परमाणुः परात्परा । पाशहस्ता पाशहन्त्री परमन्त्रविभेदिनी
She is the supreme light, the highest abode, the subtlest atom, transcending even the transcendent; she holds the noose, destroys the noose, and breaks through the highest mantras.
मूर्ताऽमूर्ताऽनित्यतृप्ता मुनिमानसहंसिका । सत्यव्रता सत्यरूपा सर्वान्तर्यामिनी सती
She is both manifest and unmanifest, eternally fulfilled, the swan of the sages’ minds; she is devoted to truth, embodies truth, dwells within all, and is ever pure.
ब्रह्माणी ब्रह्मजननी बहुरूपा बुधार्चिता । प्रसवित्री प्रचण्डाऽऽज्ञा प्रतिष्ठा प्रकटाकृतिः
She who is the power of Brahma, the mother of Brahma, of many forms, worshipped by the wise; the creator, of fierce command, the foundation, manifest in form.
प्राणेश्वरी प्राणदात्री पञ्चाशत्पीठरूपिणी । विशृङ्खला विविक्तस्था वीरमाता वियत्प्रसूः
She who is the sovereign of life, the giver of life, whose form is the fifty seats; unrestrained, dwelling in solitude, mother of heroes, source of the sky.
मुकुन्दा मुक्तिनिलया मूलविग्रहरूपिणी । भावज्ञा भवरोगघ्नी भवचक्रप्रवर्तिनी
She is Mukunda, the abode of liberation, the primal form of the deity; knower of emotions, destroyer of worldly afflictions, and the one who sets the wheel of existence in motion.
छन्दःसारा शास्त्रसारा मन्त्रसारा तलोदरी । उदारकीर्तिर् उद्दामवैभवा वर्णरूपिणी
She is the essence of metrical hymns, the essence of scriptures, the essence of mantras, slender-waisted; renowned for her noble fame, possessing boundless splendor, and manifest as the forms of letters.
जन्ममृत्युजरातप्तजनविश्रान्तिदायिनी । सर्वोपनिषदुद्घुष्टा शान्त्यतीतकलात्मिका
She who grants repose to those afflicted by birth, death, and old age; She who is proclaimed by all Upanishads; She whose essence transcends peace.
गम्भीरा गगनान्तस्था गर्विता गानलोलुपा । कल्पनारहिता काष्ठाऽकान्ता कान्तार्धविग्रहा
She is profound; She abides in the expanse of the sky; She is proud; She delights in song; She is free from imagination; She is the ultimate state; She is beloved; She has a form that is half her consort.
