ओर् मोचनी बर्बरालका विमर्शरूपिणी विद्या वियदादिजगत्प्रसूः । सर्वव्याधिप्रशमनी सर्वमृत्युनिवारिणी

Liberator, with curly hair, embodiment of discernment, knowledge, originator of the world beginning with space; remover of all diseases, preventer of all death.

अग्रगण्याऽचिन्त्यरूपा कलिकल्मषनाशिनी । कात्यायनी कालहन्त्री कमलाक्षनिषेविता

Foremost among all, of inconceivable form, destroyer of the sins of the Kali age; daughter of Katyayana, slayer of Time, worshipped by the lotus-eyed.

ताम्बूलपूरितमुखी दाडिमीकुसुमप्रभा । मृगाक्षी मोहिनी मुख्या मृडानी मित्ररूपिणी

Her mouth filled with betel, radiant like the blossom of the pomegranate; doe-eyed, enchanting, eminent, consort of Shiva, appearing as a friend.

नित्यतृप्ता भक्तनिधिर् नियन्त्री निखिलेश्वरी । मैत्र्यादिवासनालभ्या महाप्रलयसाक्षिणी

She is eternally content, the treasure-house of devotees, the controller, the sovereign of all; attainable through qualities like friendliness, she is the witness of the great dissolution.

परा शक्तिः परा निष्ठा प्रज्ञानघनरूपिणी । माध्वीपानालसा मत्ता मातृकावर्णरूपिणी

She is the supreme power, the highest goal, whose form is dense consciousness; languid with the sweetness of divine nectar, intoxicated, and whose form is the letters of the mother-syllables.

महाकैलासनिलया मृणालमृदुदोर्लता । महनीया दयामूर्तिर् महासाम्राज्यशालिनी

She who dwells upon the great Kailāsa, whose arms are as tender as lotus stalks; she who is venerable, the embodiment of compassion, and who possesses supreme sovereignty.

आत्मविद्या महाविद्या श्रीविद्या कामसेविता । श्रीषोडशाक्षरीविद्या त्रिकूटा कामकोटिका

She is the knowledge of the Self, the supreme knowledge, the auspicious knowledge, adored by Kāma; the knowledge of the sixteen auspicious syllables, the threefold group, and the source of infinite desire.

कटाक्षकिङ्करीभूतकमलाकोटिसेविता । शिरःस्थिता चन्द्रनिभा भालस्थेन्द्रधनुःप्रभा

Attended by millions of lotuses serving as her handmaidens through her sidelong glance; she dwells upon the head, radiant like the moon, and her brow shines with the brilliance of a rainbow.

हृदयस्था रविप्रख्या त्रिकोणान्तरदीपिका । दाक्षायणी दैत्यहन्त्री दक्षयज्ञविनाशिनी

Residing in the heart, shining like the sun, she is the lamp within the triangle; daughter of Daksha, destroyer of demons, and the one who ended Daksha’s sacrifice.

दरान्दोलितदीर्घाक्षी दरहासोज्ज्वलन्मुखी । गुरुमूर्तिर् गुणनिधिर् गोमाता गुहजन्मभूः

Her long eyes move gently, her face shines with a subtle smile; she is the embodiment of the Guru, the treasure-house of virtues, the mother of the earth, and the origin of the secret worlds.

देवेशी दण्डनीतिस्था दहराकाशरूपिणी । प्रतिपन्मुख्यराकान्ततिथिमण्डलपूजिता

She is the goddess of the gods, established in the law of discipline, whose form is the subtle space within the heart; she is worshipped by the deities presiding over every lunar day, from the new moon to the full moon.

कलात्मिका कलानाथा काव्यालापविनोदिनी । ओर् विमोदिनी सचामररमावाणीसव्यदक्षिणसेविता

She is the essence of all arts, the mistress of the arts, and delights in poetic speech; she is served on her left and right by Lakshmi and Sarasvati, each holding a fly-whisk.

आदिशक्तिर् अमेयाऽऽत्मा परमा पावनाकृतिः । अनेककोटिब्रह्माण्डजननी दिव्यविग्रहा

She is the primordial power, of unfathomable nature, supreme, of the purest form; the mother of countless millions of universes, possessing a divine body.

क्लींकारी केवला गुह्या कैवल्यपददायिनी । त्रिपुरा त्रिजगद्वन्द्या त्रिमूर्तिस् त्रिदशेश्वरी

She who is embodied by the syllable 'klīṃ', who is unique, who is secret, who grants the state of liberation; She who is Tripurā, who is worshipped by the beings of the three worlds, who is the threefold form, who is the sovereign of the gods.

त्र्यक्षरी दिव्यगन्धाढ्या सिन्दूरतिलकाञ्चिता । उमा शैलेन्द्रतनया गौरी गन्धर्वसेविता

She who is of three syllables, who is endowed with divine fragrance, who is adorned with a vermilion mark on her forehead; She who is Umā, daughter of the mountain king, who is fair, who is served by the Gandharvas.

विश्वगर्भा स्वर्णगर्भा वरदा वागधीश्वरी । ध्यानगम्याऽपरिच्छेद्या ज्ञानदा ज्ञानविग्रहा

She who contains the universe within herself, who holds the essence of gold, who grants boons, who is the sovereign of speech; who is attained through meditation, who cannot be limited, who bestows knowledge, who is the very embodiment of knowledge.

सर्ववेदान्तसंवेद्या सत्यानन्दस्वरूपिणी । लोपामुद्रार्चिता लीलाक्ळिप्तब्रह्माण्डमण्डला

She who is realized through all Vedanta, who is of the nature of truth and bliss; who is worshipped by Lopamudra, who playfully creates the cosmic spheres.

अदृश्या दृश्यरहिता विज्ञात्री वेद्यवर्जिता । योगिनी योगदा योग्या योगानन्दा युगन्धरा

Invisible, beyond perception, the Knower, free from all that can be known; Yoginī, giver of yoga, fit for yoga, delight of yoga, bearer of ages.

इच्छाशक्तिज्ञानशक्तिक्रियाशक्तिस्वरूपिणी । सर्वाधारा सुप्रतिष्ठा सदसद्रूपधारिणी

She whose nature is the power of will, knowledge, and action; the support of all, firmly established, bearing the forms of both being and non-being.

अष्टमूर्तिर् अजाजैत्री लोकयात्राविधायिनी । ओर् अजाजेत्री एकाकिनी भूमरूपा निर्द्वैता द्वैतवर्जिता

She who is of eight forms; the unconquered; the ordainer of the course of the worlds; the solitary one; whose form is earth; non-dual; free from duality.

अन्नदा वसुदा वृद्धा ब्रह्मात्मैक्यस्वरूपिणी । बृहती ब्राह्मणी ब्राह्मी ब्रह्मानन्दा बलिप्रिया

Giver of food; bestower of wealth; the ancient one; whose nature is the unity of Brahman and the Self; vast; the consort of Brahma; possessing the power of Brahma; the bliss of Brahman; fond of offerings.

भाषारूपा बृहत्सेना भावाभावविवर्जिता । सुखाराध्या शुभकरी शोभना सुलभा गतिः

She who is the form of language, who has a vast army, who is beyond being and non-being; who is easily worshipped, who brings auspiciousness, who is beautiful, who is easily attained, who is the ultimate goal.

राजराजेश्वरी राज्यदायिनी राज्यवल्लभा । राजत्कृपा राजपीठनिवेशितनिजाश्रिता

She who is the sovereign of sovereigns, who grants kingdoms, who is beloved of kings; whose compassion shines like silver, who is established on the royal throne along with her devotees.

राज्यलक्ष्मीः कोशनाथा चतुरङ्गबलेश्वरी । साम्राज्यदायिनी सत्यसन्धा सागरमेखला

She is the fortune of sovereignty, the mistress of treasures, the ruler of armies with four divisions; the bestower of empire, steadfast in truth, and girdled by the ocean.

दीक्षिता दैत्यशमनी सर्वलोकवशङ्करी । सर्वार्थदात्री सावित्री सच्चिदानन्दरूपिणी

She is initiated, the subduer of demons, the one who brings all worlds under her sway; the giver of all aims, the inspirer, and the embodiment of existence, consciousness, and bliss.

देशकालापरिच्छिन्ना सर्वगा सर्वमोहिनी । सरस्वती शास्त्रमयी गुहाम्बा गुह्यरूपिणी

She is not limited by place or time, present everywhere, the bewilderer of all; She is Sarasvati, embodied as the scriptures, the Mother of the cave, whose form is secret.

सर्वोपाधिविनिर्मुक्ता सदाशिवपतिव्रता । सम्प्रदायेश्वरी साध्वी गुरुमण्डलरूपिणी

She is free from all limiting conditions, ever devoted to Sadashiva as His consort; She is the sovereign of the tradition, virtuous, and whose form is the circle of teachers.

कुलोत्तीर्णा भगाराध्या माया मधुमती मही । गणाम्बा गुह्यकाराध्या कोमलाङ्गी गुरुप्रिया

She who transcends the Kula tradition, who is worshipped by the Sun, who is Māyā, who is sweet in nature, who is the Earth, who is the Mother of the hosts, who is worshipped by the secret practitioners, who has tender limbs, who is dear to the Guru.

स्वतन्त्रा सर्वतन्त्रेशी दक्षिणामूर्तिरूपिणी । सनकादिसमाराध्या शिवज्ञानप्रदायिनी

She who is independent, who is the sovereign of all tantras, who takes the form of Dakṣiṇāmūrti, who is worshipped by Sanaka and others, who bestows the knowledge of Śiva.
