शं च मे मयश् च मे प्रियं च मे ऽनुकामश् च मे कामश् च मे सौमनसश् च मे भगश् च मे द्रविणं च मे भद्रं च मे श्रेयश् च मे वसीयश् च मे यशश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have peace, delight, affection, favor, desire, happiness, fortune, wealth, welfare, prosperity, greater excellence, fame—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
ऊर्क् च मे सूनृता च मे पयश् च मे रसश् च मे घृतं च मे मधु च मे सग्धिश् च मे सपीतिश् च मे कृषिश् च मे वृष्टिश् च मे जैत्रं च म ऽ औद्भिद्यं च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have vigor, sweet speech, nourishment, essence, clarified butter, honey, good food, good drink, agriculture, rain, victory, and abundance of plants—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
रयिश् च मे रायश् च मे पुष्टं च मे पुष्टिश् च मे विभु च मे प्रभु च मे पूर्णं च मे पूर्णतरं च मे कुयवं च मे ऽक्षितं च मे ऽन्नं च मे ऽक्षुच् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have wealth, riches, nourishment, thriving, expansion, mastery, fullness, greater fullness, good harvest, inexhaustibility, food, and freedom from hunger—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
वित्तं च मे वेद्यं च मे भूतं च मे भविष्यच् च मे सुगं च मे सुपथ्यं च म ऽ ऋद्धं च म ऽ ऋद्धिश् च मे क्लृप्तं च मे क्लृप्तिश् च मे मतिश् च मे सुमतिश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have possessions, what is to be known, what has come into being, what is yet to be, easy passage, good path, prosperity, increase, what is prepared, preparation, understanding, and good understanding—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
व्रीहयश् च मे यवाश् च मे माषाश् च मे तिलाश् च मे मुद्गाश् च मे खल्वाश् च मे प्रियङ्गवश् च मे ऽणवश् च मे श्यामाकाश् च मे नीवाराश् च मे गोधूमाश् च मे मसूराश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have rice, barley, beans, sesame, green gram, millet, priyaṅgu, panic seed, black millet, wild rice, wheat, and lentils—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
अश्मा च मे मृत्तिका च मे गिरयश् च मे पर्वताश् च मे सिकताश् च मे वनस्पतयश् च मे हिरण्यं च मे ऽयश् च मे श्यामं च मे लोहं च मे सीसं च मे त्रपु च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have stone, clay, hills, mountains, sand, forest trees, gold, copper, iron, lead, and tin—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
अग्निश् च म ऽ आपश् च मे वीरुधश् च म ऽ ओषधयश् च मे कृष्टपच्याश् च मे ऽकृष्टपच्याश् च मे ग्राम्याश् च मे पशव ऽ आरण्याश् च मे वित्तं च मे वित्तिश् च मे भूतं च मे भूतिश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have fire, water, herbs, medicinal plants, cultivated crops, wild crops, domestic animals, wild animals, wealth, prosperity, being, and becoming—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
वसु च मे वसतिश् च मे कर्म च मे शक्तिश् च मे ऽर्थश् च म ऽ एमश् च म ऽ इत्या च मे गतिश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have goods, dwelling, action, power, purpose, wish, and attainment—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
अग्निश् च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे सोमश् च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे सविता च म इन्द्रश् च मे सरस्वती च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे पूषा च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे बृहस्पतिश् च म इन्द्रश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have Agni, and Indra; Soma, and Indra; Savitṛ, and Indra; Sarasvatī, and Indra; Pūṣan, and Indra; Bṛhaspati, and Indra—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
मित्रश् च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे वरुणश् च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे धाता च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे त्वष्टा च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे मरुतश् च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे विश्वे च मे देवा ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have Mitra, and Indra; Varuṇa, and Indra; Dhātṛ, and Indra; Tvaṣṭṛ, and Indra; the Maruts, and Indra; all the gods, and Indra—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
पृथिवी च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे ऽन्तरिक्षं च म ऽइन्द्रश् च मे द्यौश् च ऽ म इन्द्रश् च मे समाश् च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे नक्षत्राणि च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे दिशश् च म ऽ इन्द्रश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have Earth, and Indra; the atmosphere, and Indra; the sky, and Indra; the seasons, and Indra; the stars, and Indra; the directions, and Indra—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
अꣳशुश् च मे रश्मिश् च मे ऽदाभ्यश् च मे ऽधिपतिश् च म उपाꣳशुश् च मे ऽन्तर्यामश् च म ऽ ऐन्द्रवायवश् च मे मैत्रावरुणश् च म ऽ आश्विनश् च मे प्रतिप्रस्थानश् च मे शुक्रश् च मे मन्थी च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have the Soma stalk, the ray, the undeceivable, the lord, the low-voiced, the inner controller, the Indra-Vāyu oblation, the Maitrāvaruṇa, the Aśvins, the Pratiprasthāna, the Śukra, and the Manthī—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
आग्रयणश् च मे वैश्वदेवश् च मे ध्रुवश् च मे वैश्वानरश् च म ऽ ऐन्द्राग्नश् च मे महावैश्वदेवश् च मे मरुत्वतीयाश् च मे निष्केवल्यश् च मे सावित्रश् च मे सारस्वतश् च मे पत्नीवतश् च मे हारियोजनश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have the Āgrayaṇa, the Vaiśvadeva, the Dhruva, the Vaiśvānara, the Indrāgni, the Mahāvaiśvadeva, the Marutvatīya, the Niṣkevalya, the Sāvitra, the Sārasvata, the Patnīvata, and the Hāriyojana—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
स्रुचश् च मे चमसाश् च मे वायव्यानि च मे द्रोणकलशश् च मे ग्रावाणश् च मे ऽधिषवणे च मे पूतभृच् च म ऽ आधवनीयश् च मे वेदिश् च मे बर्हिश् च मे ऽवभृथश् च मे स्वगाकारश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have the sacrificial ladles, the cups, the Vāyavya vessels, the Droṇakalaśa, the pressing stones, the Adhiṣavaṇa, the strainer, the Ādhavanīya, the altar, the sacred grass, the Avabhṛtha, and the Svagākāra—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
अग्निश् च मे घर्मश् च मे ऽर्कश् च मे सूर्यश् च मे प्राणश् च मे ऽश्वमेधश् च मे पृथिवी च मे ऽदितिश् च मे दितिश् च मे द्यौश् च मे ऽङ्गुलयः शक्वरयो दिशश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have Agni, the Gharma, the Ark, the Sun, the breath, the Aśvamedha, the Earth, Aditi, Diti, the sky, the fingers, the Śakvarī verses, and the directions—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
व्रतं च म ऽ ऋतवश् च मे तपश् च मे संवत्सरश् च मे ऽहोरात्रे ऊर्वष्ठीवे बृहद्रथन्तरे च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have observance, the seasons, austerity, the year, day and night, the Urvaṣṭhī and Bṛhadrathantara chants—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
एका च मे तिस्रश् च मे तिस्रश् च मे पञ्च च मे पञ्च च मे सप्त च मे सप्त च मे नव च मे नव च म ऽ एकादश च म ऽ एकादश च मे त्रयोदश च मे त्रयोदश च मे पञ्चदश च मे पञ्चदश च मे सप्तदश च मे सप्तदश च मे नवदश च मे नवदश च म ऽ एकविꣳशतिश् च म ऽ एकविꣳशतिश् च मे त्रयोविꣳशतिश् च मे त्रयोविꣳशतिश् च मे पञ्चविꣳशतिश् च मे पञ्चविꣳशतिश् च मे सप्तविꣳशतिश् च मे सप्तविꣳशतिश् च मे नवविꣳशतिश् च मे नवविꣳशतिश् च म ऽ एकत्रिꣳशच् च म ऽ एकत्रिꣳशच् च मे त्रयस्त्रिꣳशच् च मे त्रयस्त्रिꣳशच् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have one, three, three, five, five, seven, seven, nine, nine, eleven, eleven, thirteen, thirteen, fifteen, fifteen, seventeen, seventeen, nineteen, nineteen, twenty-one, twenty-one, twenty-three, twenty-three, twenty-five, twenty-five, twenty-seven, twenty-seven, twenty-nine, twenty-nine, thirty-one, thirty-one, thirty-three, thirty-three—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
चतस्रश् च मे ऽष्टौ च मे ऽष्टौ च मे द्वादश च मे द्वादश च मे षोडश च मे षोडश च मे विꣳशतिश् च मे विꣳशतिश् च मे चतुर्विꣳशतिश् च मे चतुर्विꣳशतिश् च मे ऽष्टाविꣳशतिश् च मे ऽष्टाविꣳशतिश् च मे द्वात्रिꣳशच् च मे द्वात्रिꣳशच् च मे षट्त्रिꣳशच् च मे षट्त्रिꣳशच् च मे चत्वारिꣳशच् च मे चत्वारिꣳशच् च मे चतुश्चत्वारिꣳशच् च मे चतुश्चत्वारिꣳशच् च मे ष्टाचत्वारिꣳशच् च मे ष्टाचत्वारिꣳशच् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May I have four, eight, eight, twelve, twelve, sixteen, sixteen, twenty, twenty, twenty-four, twenty-four, twenty-eight, twenty-eight, thirty-two, thirty-two, thirty-six, thirty-six, forty, forty, forty-four, forty-four, forty-eight, forty-eight—may all these be accomplished for me through the sacrifice.
त्र्यविश् च मे त्र्यवी च मे दित्यवाट् च मे दित्यौही च मे पञ्चाविश् च मे पञ्चावी च मे त्रिवत्सश् च मे त्रिवत्सा च मे तुर्यवाट् च मे तुर्यौही च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May the three-year-old male and female, the two-year-old male and female, the five-year-old male and female, the three-calved male and female, the four-year-old male and female, be prepared for me by sacrifice.
पष्ठवाट् च मे पष्ठौही च म ऽ उक्षा च मे वशा च म ऽ ऋषभश् च मे वेहच् च मे ऽनड्वाꣳश् च मे धेनुश् च मे यज्ञेन कल्पन्ताम्
May the six-year-old male and female, the bull, the cow, the ox, the draught animal, the milch cow, be prepared for me by sacrifice.
वाजाय स्वाहा प्रसवाय स्वाहापिजाय स्वाहा क्रतवे स्वाहा वसवे स्वाहा ऽहर्पतये स्वाहाह्ने स्वाहा मुग्धाय स्वाहा मुग्धाय वैनꣳशिनाय स्वाहा विनꣳशिन ऽ आन्त्यायनाय स्वाहान्त्याय भौवनाय स्वाहा भुवनस्य पतये स्वाहाधिपतये स्वाहा प्रजापतये स्वाहा । इयं ते राण् मित्राय यन्तासि यमन ऽ ऊर्जे त्वा वृष्ट्यै त्वा प्रजानां त्वाधिपत्याय
Oblation to strength, oblation to increase, oblation to progeny, oblation to the ritual, oblation to wealth, oblation to the lord of the day, oblation to the day, oblation to the innocent, oblation to the innocent, oblation to the destroyer, oblation to the destroyer, oblation to the end-bringer, oblation to the end, oblation to the lord of existence, oblation to the lord of the world, oblation to the overlord, oblation to the lord of progeny. This is your chariot, O Mitra, which guides and restrains; for strength, for rain, for progeny, for lordship, I dedicate you.
आयुर् यज्ञेन कल्पतां प्राणो यज्ञेन कल्पतां चक्षुर् यज्ञेन कल्पताꣳ श्रोत्रं यज्ञेन कल्पतां वाग् यज्ञेन कल्पतां मनो यज्ञेन कल्पताम् आत्मा यज्ञेन कल्पतां ब्रह्मा यज्ञेन कल्पतां ज्योतिर् यज्ञेन कल्पताꣳ स्वर् यज्ञेन कल्पतां पृष्ठं यज्ञेन कल्पतां यज्ञो यज्ञेन कल्पताम् । स्तोमश् च यजुश् च ऽ ऋक् च साम च बृहच् च रथन्तरं च । स्वर् देवा ऽ अगन्मामृता ऽ अभूम प्रजापतेः प्रजा ऽ अभूम वेट् स्वाहा
May life be prepared by sacrifice, may breath be prepared by sacrifice, may sight be prepared by sacrifice, may hearing be prepared by sacrifice, may speech be prepared by sacrifice, may mind be prepared by sacrifice, may self be prepared by sacrifice, may sacred knowledge be prepared by sacrifice, may light be prepared by sacrifice, may heaven be prepared by sacrifice, may the back be prepared by sacrifice, may sacrifice itself be prepared by sacrifice. May the chant, the Yajus, the Rik, the Sāma, the Bṛhat, and the Rathantara be present. The gods have attained heaven; we have become immortal; we have become the offspring of Prajāpati. Svāhā!
वाजस्य नु प्रसवे मातरं महीम् अदितिं नाम वचसा करामहे । यस्याम् इदं विश्वं भुवनम् आविवेश तस्यां नो देवः सविता धर्म साविषत्
At the impulse of strength, we address the mother earth, Aditi by name, with words. In her, this entire world and all beings reside; may the god Savitṛ establish righteousness in her for us.
विश्वे ऽ अद्य मरुतो विश्व ऽ ऊती विश्वे भवन्त्व् अग्नयः समिद्धाः । विश्वे नो देवा ऽ अवसा गमन्तु विश्वम् अस्तु द्रविणं वाजो ऽ अस्मे
May all the Maruts today, all the helpers, may all the kindled fires, may all the gods come to us with aid; may all wealth and strength be ours.
वाजो नः सप्त प्रदिशश् चतस्रो वा परावतः । वाजो नो विश्वैर् देवैर् धनसाताव् इहावतु
May strength come to us from the seven regions and the four quarters; may strength, together with all the gods, grant us wealth here.
वाजो नो ऽ अद्य प्र सुवाति दानं वाजो देवाꣳऽ ऋतुभिः कल्पयाति । वाजो हि मा सर्ववीरं जजान विश्वा ऽ आशा वाजपतिर् जयेयम्
Today, strength brings us generous gifts; strength, with the gods and the seasons, arranges the offering. Strength has indeed produced all heroes; may I, as lord of strength, conquer all directions.
वाजः पुरस्ताद् उत मध्यतो नो वाजो देवान् हविषा वर्धयाति । वाजो हि मा सर्ववीरं चकार सर्वा ऽ आशा वाजपतिर् भवेयम्
Strength is before us, and in the midst of us; strength increases the gods with the offering. Strength has indeed made all heroes; may I become lord of strength in all directions.
सं मा सृजामि पयसा पृथिव्याः सं मा सृजाम्य् अद्भिर् ओषधीभिः । सो ऽहं वाजꣳ सनेयम् अग्ने
I unite myself with the milk of the earth, I unite myself with the waters and the plants. May I obtain strength, O Agni.
पयः पृथिव्यां पय ऽ ओषधीषु पयो दिव्यन्तरिक्षे पयो धाः । पयस्वतीः प्रदिशः सन्तु मह्यम्
Milk in the earth, milk in the plants, milk in the sky and atmosphere, milk in the regions. May the regions rich in milk be mine.
देवस्य त्वा सवितुः प्रसवे ऽश्विनोर् बाहुभ्यां पूष्णो हस्ताभ्याम् । सरस्वत्यै वाचो यन्तुर् यन्त्रेणाग्नेः साम्राज्येनाभि षिञ्चामि
By the impulse of the divine Savitṛ, by the arms of the Aśvins, by the hands of Pūṣan, by the guidance of Sarasvatī, by the sovereignty of Agni, I anoint you.
