अग्ने ऽ अच्छावदेह नः प्रति नः सुमना भव । प्र नो यच्छ सहस्रजित्त्वꣳ हि धनदा ऽ असि स्वाहा
Agni, come to us; be gracious to us, be kindly disposed. Grant us victory over thousands, for you are the giver of wealth. Svāhā.
प्र नो यच्छत्व् अर्यमा प्र पूषा प्र बृहस्पतिः । प्र वाग् देवी ददातु नः स्वाहा
May Aryaman grant to us, may Pūṣan grant to us, may Bṛhaspati grant to us. May the divine speech give to us. Svāhā.
देवस्य त्वा सवितुः प्रसवे ऽश्विनोर् बाहुभ्यां पूष्णो हस्ताभ्याम् । सरस्वत्यै वाचो यन्तुर् यन्त्रिये दधामि बृहस्पतेष् ट्वा साम्राज्येनाभि षिञ्चाम्य् असौ
I place you in the impulse of the divine Savitṛ, in the arms of the Aśvins, in the hands of Pūṣan. For Sarasvatī, the guide of speech, I appoint you; for Bṛhaspati, I anoint you with sovereignty.

Viṣṇu, with three syllables, conquered the three worlds; I have conquered them. Soma, with four syllables, conquered quadrupeds, cattle; I have conquered them.
पूषा पञ्चाक्षरेण पञ्च दिश ऽ उद् अजयत् ता ऽ उज् जेषम् । सविता षडक्षरेण षड् ऋतून् उद् अजयत् तान् उज् जेषम् । मरुतः सप्ताक्षरेण सप्त ग्राम्यान् पशून् उद् अजयꣳस् तान् उज् जेषम् । बृहस्पतिर् अष्टाक्षरेण गायत्रीम् उद् अजयत् ताम् उज् जेषम्
Pūṣan, with five syllables, conquered the five directions; I have conquered them. Savitṛ, with six syllables, conquered the six seasons; I have conquered them. The Maruts, with seven syllables, conquered the seven domestic animals; I have conquered them. Bṛhaspati, with eight syllables, conquered the Gāyatrī meter; I have conquered it.

The Ādityas, with fifteen syllables, conquered the fifteenfold chant; I have conquered it. Aditi, with sixteen syllables, conquered the sixteenfold chant; I have conquered it. Prajāpati, with seventeen syllables, conquered the seventeenfold chant; I have conquered it.

This is your share, O Nirṛti; accept it. Svāhā. To the divine eyes of Agni, to the gods sitting in the east, Svāhā. To the divine eyes of Yama, to the gods sitting in the south, Svāhā. To the divine eyes of all the gods, to the gods sitting in the west, Svāhā. To the divine eyes of Mitra and Varuṇa, or to the divine eyes of the Maruts, to the gods sitting in the north, Svāhā. To the divine eyes of Soma, to the gods sitting above, to those who are blessed, Svāhā.

Those gods who have Agni’s eyes and sit in the east, to them, Svāhā. Those gods who have Yama’s eyes and sit in the south, to them, Svāhā. Those gods who have the eyes of all the gods and sit in the west, to them, Svāhā. Those gods who have the eyes of Mitra and Varuṇa, or the eyes of the Maruts, and sit in the north, to them, Svāhā. Those gods who have Soma’s eyes and sit above, those who are blessed, to them, Svāhā.
अग्ने सहस्व पृतना ऽ अभिमातीर् अपास्य । दुष्टरस् तरन्न् अरातीर् वर्चो धा यज्ञवाहसि
Agni, endure the battles, drive away the hostile ones. Overcome the difficult adversaries, cross the enemies; place brilliance in the sacrificial offering.
देवस्य त्वा सवितुः प्रसवे ऽश्विनोर् बाहुभ्यां पूष्णो हस्ताभ्याम् । उपाꣳशोर् वीर्येण जुहोमि हतꣳ रक्षः स्वाहा । रक्षसां त्वा वधाय । अवधिष्म रक्षोऽ वधिष्मामुम् असौ हतः
I place you in the impulse of the divine Savitṛ, in the arms of the Aśvins, in the hands of Pūṣan. With the strength of Upāmśu, I offer; the demon is slain. Svāhā. I appoint you for the destruction of demons. We have slain the demon; we have slain that one; he is slain.
सविता त्वा सवानाꣳ सुवताम् अग्निर् गृहपतीना सोमो वनस्पतीनाम् । बृहस्पतिर् वाच ऽ इन्द्रो ज्यैष्ठ्याय रुद्रः पशुभ्यो मित्रः सत्यो वरुणो धर्मपतीनाम्
Savitṛ brings you among the Savitṛs; Agni among the householders; Soma among the trees. Bṛhaspati among speech; Indra for supremacy; Rudra among cattle; Mitra among the truthful; Varuṇa among the lords of law.
इमं देवा ऽअसपत्नꣳ सुवध्वं महते क्षत्राय महते ज्यैष्ठ्याय महते जानराज्यायेन्द्रस्येन्द्रियाय । इमम् अमुष्य पुत्रम् अमुष्यै पुत्रम् अस्यै विश ऽ एष वो ऽमी राजा सोमो स्माकं ब्राह्मणाना राजा
O gods, make this one free from rivals, well-married, for great dominion, for great supremacy, for great sovereignty over people, for the power of Indra. This one, the son of that man, the son of that woman, for her, for this clan—he is your king. Soma is our king, the king of the Brahmins.
अपो देवा मधुमतीर् अगृभ्णन्न् ऊर्जस्वती राजस्वश् चितानाः । याभिर् मित्रावरुणाव् अभ्यषिञ्चन् याभिर् इन्द्रम् अनयन्न् अत्य् अरातीः
The gods took hold of the waters, rich in honey, full of vigor, shining, and royal. With these waters, Mitra and Varuṇa anointed, with these they led Indra beyond his enemies.

पवित्रे स्थो वैष्णव्यौ । सवितुर् वः प्रसव ऽ उत् पुनाम्य् अच्छिद्रेण पवित्रेण सूर्यस्य रश्मिभिः । अनिभृष्टम् असि वाचो बन्धुस् तपोजाः सोमस्य दात्रम् असि स्वाहा राजस्वः
You stand in the filter, O two belonging to Viṣṇu. I purify you with the impulse of Savitṛ, with the unbroken filter, with the rays of the sun. You are unblemished, the kin of speech, born of austerity; you are the gift of Soma, svāhā, royal.
सधमादो द्युम्निनीर् आप ऽ एता अनाधृष्टा ऽ अपस्यो वसानाः । पस्त्यासु चक्रे वरुणः सधस्थम् अपाᳬं शिशुर् मातृतमास्व् अन्तः
The waters, companions at the feast, shining, invincible, adorned, have come. In the dwellings, Varuṇa has established his seat; the child of the waters is within the mothers.
क्षत्रस्योल्वम् असि । क्षत्रस्य जराय्व् असि । क्षत्रस्य योनिर् असि । क्षत्रस्य नाभिर् असि । इन्द्रस्य वात्रघ्नम् । मित्रस्यासि वरुणस्यासि । त्वयायं वृत्रं वधेत् । दृवासि । रुजासि । क्षुमासि । पातैनं प्राञ्चम् । पातैनं प्रत्यञ्चम् । पातैनं तिर्यञ्चं दिग्भ्यः पात
You are the strength of dominion. You are the vigor of dominion. You are the womb of dominion. You are the navel of dominion. You are Indra's slayer of Vṛtra. You are of Mitra, you are of Varuṇa. By you, may this one slay Vṛtra. You are firm. You are breaker. You are earth. Guard him to the east. Guard him to the west. Guard him to the south. Guard him from all directions.
आविर्मर्याः । ऽ आवित्तो ऽ अग्निर् गृहपतिः । आवित्त ऽ इन्द्रो वृद्धश्रवाः । ऽ आवित्तौ मित्रावरुणौ धृतव्रतौ । आवित्तः पूषा विश्ववेदाः । ऽ आवित्ते द्यावापृथिवी विश्वशम्भुवौ । आवित्तादितिर् उरुशर्मा ॥ 10 अवेष्टा दन्दशूकाः । प्राचीम् आ रोह गायत्री त्वावतु रथन्तरꣳ साम त्रिवृत् स्तोमो वसन्त ऽ ऋतुर् ब्रह्म द्रविणम्
Let the young men be manifest. Agni, the house-lord, is manifest. Indra, famed among elders, is manifest. Mitra and Varuṇa, firm in their vows, are manifest. Pūṣan, knower of all, is manifest. Heaven and earth, bestowers of all blessings, are manifest. Aditi, of wide shelter, is manifest.
दक्षिणाम् आ रोह त्रिष्टुप् त्वावतु बृहत् साम पञ्चदश स्तोमो ग्रीष्म ऽ ऋतुः क्षत्रं द्रविणम्
Ascend to the south; may the Triṣṭubh meter protect you, the Bṛhat Sāman, the Pañcadaśa Stoma, the summer season, dominion, and wealth.
प्रतीचीम् आ रोह जगती त्वावतु वैरूपꣳ साम सप्तदश स्तोमो वर्षा ऽ ऋतुः विड् द्रविणम्
Ascend to the west; may the Jagatī meter protect you, the Vairūpa Sāman, the Saptadaśa Stoma, the rainy season, the people, and wealth.
उदीचीम् आ रोहानुष्टुप् त्वावतु वैराजꣳ सामैकविꣳश स्तोमः शरद् ऋतुः फलं द्रविणम्
Ascend to the north; may the Anuṣṭubh meter protect you, the Vairāja Sāman, the Ekaviṃśa Stoma, the autumn season, the fruit, and wealth.
ऊर्ध्वाम् आ रोह पङ्क्तिस् त्वावतु शाक्वररैवते सामनी त्रिणवत्रयस्त्रिꣳशौ स्तोमौ हेमन्तशिशिराव् ऋतू वर्चो द्रविणम् । प्रत्यस्तं नमुचेः शिरः
Ascend upward; may the Paṅkti meter protect you, the Śākvara and Raivata Sāmans, the Triṇava and Trayastrinśa Stomas, the winter and cool seasons, brilliance, and wealth. The head of Namuci is laid low.
सोमस्य त्विषिर् असि तवेव मे त्विषिर् भूयात् । मृत्योः पाहि । ओजो ऽसि सहो ऽस्य् अमृतम् असि
You are the brilliance of Soma; may your brilliance become mine. Protect from death. You are vigor, you are might, you are immortal.
हिरण्यरूपा ऽउषसो विरोक ऽउभाव् इन्द्रा ऽउदिथः सूर्यश् च । आ रोहतं वरुण मित्र गर्तं ततश् चक्षाथाम् अदितिं दितिं च । मित्रो ऽसि वरुणो ऽसि
Golden-formed dawns shine forth; both Indras have arisen, and so has the sun. Ascend, Varuṇa and Mitra, to your seat; from there behold Aditi and Diti. You are Mitra, you are Varuṇa.
सोमस्य त्वा द्युम्नेनाभिषिञ्चाम्य् अग्नेर् भ्राजसा सूर्यस्य वर्चसेन्द्रस्येन्द्रियेण । क्षत्राणां क्षत्रपतिर् एध्य् अति दिद्यून् पाहि
With the glory of Soma I anoint you, with the brilliance of Agni, with the splendor of the sun, with the power of Indra. Be lord of rulers among the rulers; shine forth, protect.
