यो वः शिवतमो रसस् तस्य भाजयतेह नः । उशतीर् इव मातरः
Whatever is your most auspicious essence, may you share that with us here, like loving mothers.
तस्मा ऽ अरं गमाम वो यस्य क्षयाय जिन्वथ । आपो जनयथा च नः
Therefore, we come close to you, for you bring increase and growth; O waters, generate us anew.
द्यौः शान्तिर् अन्तरिक्षꣳ शान्तिः पृथिवी शान्तिर् आपः शान्तिर् ओषधयः शान्तिः । वनस्पतयः शान्तिर् विश्वे देवाः शान्तिर् ब्रह्म शान्तिः सर्वꣳ शान्तिः शान्तिर् एव शान्तिः सा मा शान्तिर् एधि
Peace in the heavens, peace in the sky, peace on earth, peace in the waters, peace in the plants; peace in the trees, peace among all the gods, peace in the Vedas, peace in all things, peace alone, may that peace be with us.
दृते दृꣳह मा मित्रस्य मा चक्षुषा सर्वाणि भूतानि सम् ईक्षन्ताम् । मित्रस्याहं चक्षुषा सर्वाणि भूतानि समीक्षे । मित्रस्य चक्षुषा सम् ईक्षामहे
With firm resolve, may all beings look upon me with the eye of friendship; with the eye of friendship, may I look upon all beings; with the eye of friendship, may we look upon one another.
दृते दृꣳह मा । ज्योक् ते संदृशि जीव्यासं ज्योक् ते संदृशि जीव्यासम्
With firm resolve, may I stand; may I live long in your sight, may I live long in your sight.
नमस् ते हरसे शोचिषे नमस् ते ऽ अस्त्व् अर्चिषे । अन्याꣳस् ते ऽ अस्मत् तपन्तु हेतयः पावको ऽ अस्मभ्यꣳ शिवो भव
Homage to your flame, O shining one; homage to your blaze. May your other fires burn away what is apart from us; O purifier, be gracious to us.
नमस् ते ऽ अस्तु विद्युते नमस् ते स्तनयित्नवे । नमस् ते भगवन्न् अस्तु यतः स्वः समीहसे
Homage to your lightning, homage to your thunder; homage to you, O Lord, from whom the heavens are sought.
यतो-यतः समीहसे ततो नो ऽ अभयं कुरु । शं नः कुरु प्रजाभ्यो ऽभयं नः पशुभ्यः
Wherever you move, from there grant us safety; grant us peace, grant safety to our offspring, grant safety to our cattle.
सुमित्रिया न ऽ आप ऽ ओषधयः सन्तु दुर्मित्रियास् तस्मै सन्तु यो ऽस्मान् द्वेष्टि यं च वयं द्विष्मः
May the waters and plants be friendly to us; let them be unfriendly to the one who hates us and to whom we are hostile.
तच् चक्षुर् देवहितं पुरस्ताच् छुक्रम् उच् चरत् । पश्येम शरदः शतं जीवेम शरदः शतꣳ शृणुयाम शरदः शतं प्र ब्रवाम शरदः शतम् अदीनाः स्याम शरदः शतं भूयश् च शरदः शतात्
That divine eye, set in front, shining, let us see for a hundred autumns, let us live for a hundred autumns, let us hear for a hundred autumns, let us speak for a hundred autumns, let us be vigorous for a hundred autumns, and may we live even beyond a hundred autumns.
देवस्य त्वा सवितुः प्रसवे ऽश्विनोर् बाहुभ्यां पूष्णो हस्ताभ्याम् । आ ददे नारिर् असि
With the impulse of Savitṛ, with the arms of the Aśvins, with the hands of Pūṣan, I take you; you are the offering-spoon.
युञ्जते मन ऽ उत युञ्जते धियो विप्रा विप्रस्य बृहतो विपश्चितः । वि होत्रा दधे वयुनाविद् एक ऽ इन् मही देवस्य सवितुः परिष्टुतिः स्वाहा
The wise harness the mind, they harness their thoughts; the wise of the great, all-knowing one. The two priests have set in place the ritual, knowing the ways; this is the great praise of the god Savitṛ. Svāhā.

इयत्य् अग्रे ऽ आसीन् मखस्य ते ऽद्य शिरो राध्यासं देवयजने पृथिव्याः । मखाय त्वा मखस्य त्वा शीर्ष्णे
So much in front was the seat of your sacrifice today, the head I have set in the divine rite upon the earth. For the sacrifice, for the head of the sacrifice, I consecrate you.

Let the Lord of the Sacred Word advance, let the gracious goddess Speech advance. Let the gods lead our offering to the heroic, noble, and bountiful one. अनाधृष्टा पुरस्ताद् अग्नेर् आधिपत्य ऽ आयुर् मे दाः । पुत्रवती दक्षिणत ऽ इन्द्रस्याधिपत्ये प्रजां मे दाः । सुषदा पश्चाद् देवस्य सवितुर् आधिपत्ये चक्षुर् मे दाः । आस्रुतिर् उत्तरतो धातुर् आधिपत्ये रायस्पोषं मे दाः । विधृतिर् उपरिष्टाद् बृहस्पतेर् आधिपत्ये ऽ ओजो मे दाः । विश्वाभ्यो मा नाष्ट्राभ्यस् पाहि । मनोर् अश्वासि
Unassailable in the east, under Agni's lordship, grant me life. With offspring in the south, under Indra's lordship, grant me progeny. Well-seated in the west, under Savitar's lordship, grant me sight. Hearing in the north, under Dhātar's lordship, grant me wealth and nourishment. Firmness above, under Bṛhaspati's lordship, grant me strength. Protect me from all injuries. You are the horse of the mind.
स्वाहा मरुद्भिः परि श्रीयस्व । दिवः सꣳस्पृशस् पाहि । मधु मधु मधु
With the Maruts, be adorned with splendor. Protect the touch of heaven. Sweetness, sweetness, sweetness.
गर्भो देवानां पिता मतीनां पतिः प्रजानाम् । सं देवो देवेन सवित्रा गत सꣳ सूर्येण रोचते
The embryo of the gods, the father of thoughts, the lord of creatures—he, the god, has come together with the god Savitar, he shines together with the sun.
सम् अग्निर् अग्निना गत सं दैवेन सवित्रा सꣳ सूर्येणारोचिष्ट । स्वाहा सम् अग्निस् तपसा गत सं दैव्येन सवित्रा सꣳ सूर्येणारूरुचत
May Agni unite with Agni, may he shine together with the divine Savitar, together with the sun. Svāhā! May Agni unite with austerity, may he shine together with the divine Savitar, together with the sun.
धर्ता दिवो वि भाति तपसस् पृथिव्यां धर्ता देवो देवानाम् अमर्त्यस् तपोजाः । वाचम् अस्मे नि यच्छ देवायुवम्
The supporter of heaven shines forth by austerity; on earth, the god, the immortal, born of austerity, supports the gods. Restrain speech in us, O youthful gods.
अपश्यं गोपाम् अनिपद्यमानम् आ च परा च पथिभिश् चरन्तम् । स सध्रीचीः स विषूचीर् वसान ऽ आ वरीवर्त्ति भुवनेष्व् अन्तः
I saw the herdsman, never falling, moving on paths both forward and backward. He, wearing the same garment, traverses the straight and the crooked, turning back within the worlds.
विश्वासां भुवां पते विश्वस्य मनसस् पते विश्वस्य वचसस् पते सर्वस्य वचसस् पते । देवश्रुत् त्वं देव घर्म देवो देवान् पाहि । अत्र प्रावीर् अनु वां देववीतये । मधु माध्वीभ्यां मधु माधूचीभ्याम्
Lord of all beings, lord of all minds, lord of all speech, lord of all words—you, god, are renowned, O divine heat, god among gods, protect the gods. Here, be manifest for our divine service. Sweetness with the sweet ones, sweetness with the honeyed ones.
हृदे त्वा मनसे त्वा दिवे त्वा सूर्याय त्वा । ऊर्ध्वो ऽ अध्वरं दिवि देवेषु धेहि
For the heart, I consecrate you; for the mind, I consecrate you; for the sky, I consecrate you; for the sun, I consecrate you. Raise the sacrifice upward among the gods in heaven.
पिता नो ऽसि पिता नो बोधि नमस् ते ऽ अस्तु मा मा हिꣳसीः । त्वष्टृमन्तस् त्वा सपेम पुत्रान् पशून् मयि धेहि प्रजाम् अस्मासु धेह्य् अरिष्टाहꣳ सहपत्या भूयासम्
You are our father; be our father. Homage to you; do not harm me. With Tvaṣṭṛ's power, may we beget sons; place cattle in me, grant us offspring; may I be unharmed, may I have companionship with offspring.
