सुत्रामाणं पृथिवीं द्याम् अनेहसꣳ सुशर्माणम् अदितिꣳ सुप्रणीतिम् । दैवीं नावꣳ स्वरित्राम् अनागसम् अस्रवन्तीम् आ रुहेमा स्वस्तये
May we ascend the well-constructed earth and the flawless sky, Aditi who grants good shelter and leads well; may we reach the divine, radiant, sinless, unsullied boat for our well-being.
सुनावम् आ रुहेयम् अस्रवन्तीम् अनागसम् । शतारित्राꣳ स्वस्तये
May I ascend the good boat, unsullied and sinless, with a hundred oars, for our well-being.
आ नो मित्रावरुणा घृतैर् गव्यूतिम् उक्षतम् । मध्वा रजाꣳसि सुक्रतू
Mitrā and Varuṇa, pour forth for us the abundance of cows with ghee; O skillful ones, sweeten the realms with honey.
प्र बाहवा सिसृतं जीवसे न ऽ आ नो गव्यूतिम् उक्षतं घृतेन । आ नो जने श्रवयतं युवाना श्रुतं मे मित्रावरुणा हवेमा
Stretch forth your arms for our life; pour out for us the abundance of cows with ghee; O youthful ones, make us renowned among people; Mitrā and Varuṇa, may you hear my invocation.
शं नो भवन्तु वाजिनो हवेषु देवताता मितद्रवः स्वर्काः । जम्भयन्तो ऽहिं वृकꣳ रक्षाꣳसि सनेम्य् अस्मद् युयवन्न् अमीवाः
May the swift ones, devoted to the gods, friendly, radiant, bring us happiness in the offerings; driving away the serpent, the wolf, and the demons, may they ward off all disease from us.
वाजे-वाजे ऽवत वाजिनो नो धनेषु विप्रा ऽ अमृता ऽ ऋतज्ञाः । अस्य मध्वः पिबत मादयध्वं तृप्ता यात पथिभिर् देवयानैः
In every contest, protect us, O swift ones; in wealth, O wise immortals, knowers of truth; drink of this honey, rejoice, and, satisfied, proceed by the paths of the gods.
समिद्धो ऽ अग्निः समिधा सुसमिद्धो वरेण्यः । गायत्री छन्द ऽ इन्द्रियं त्र्यविर् गौर् वयो दधुः
Agni, kindled and well-kindled with fuel, worthy of choice, the Gāyatrī meter, the threefold strength, the cow, and the vital power have taken up.
तनूनपाच्छुचिव्रतस् तनूपाश् च सरस्वती । उष्णिहा छन्द ऽ इन्द्रियं दित्यवाड् गौर् वयो दधुः
The guardian of the body, pure in vow, and Sarasvatī, the Uṣṇih meter, the twofold strength, the cow, and the vital power have taken up.
इडाभिर् अग्निर् ईड्यः सोमो देवो ऽ अमर्त्यः । अनुष्टुप् छन्द ऽइन्द्रियं पञ्चाविर् गौर् वयो दधुः
Agni, to be praised with Iḍā, Soma the immortal god, the Anuṣṭup meter, the fivefold strength, the cow, and the vital power have taken up.
सुबर्हिर् अग्निः पूषण्वान्त् स्तीर्णबर्हिर् अमर्त्यः । बृहती छन्द ऽ इन्द्रियं त्रिवत्सो गौर् वयो दधुः
Agni with a splendid seat, accompanied by Pūṣan, with a well-strewn seat, immortal, the Bṛhatī meter, the threefold calf, the cow, and the vital power have taken up.
दुरो देवीर् दिशो महीर् ब्रह्मा देवो बृहस्पतिः । पङ्क्तिश् छन्द ऽ इहेन्द्रियं तुर्यवाड् गौर् वयो दधुः
The great divine directions, Bṛhaspati the divine priest, the Paṅkti meter, the fourth strength, the cow, and the vital power have taken up.
उषे यह्वी सुपेशसा विश्वे देवा ऽ अमर्त्याः । त्रिष्टुप् छन्द ऽ इहेन्द्रियं पष्ठवाड् गौर् वयो दधुः
The dawns, youthful and beautiful, all the immortal gods, the Triṣṭup meter, the sixth strength, the cow, and the vital power have taken up.
दैव्या होतारा भिषजेन्द्रेण सयुजा युजा । जगती छन्द ऽ इन्द्रियम् अनड्वान् गौर् वयो दधुः
The two divine Hotṛs, healers, united with Indra, the Jagatī meter, the strength, the bull, the cow, and the vital power have taken up.
तिस्र ऽ इडा सरस्वती भारती मरुतो विशः । विराट् छन्द ऽ इहेन्द्रियं धेनुर् गौर् न वयो दधुः
The three goddesses Iḍā, Sarasvatī, Bhāratī, the Maruts, the clans, the Virāṭ meter, the seventh strength, the cow as a milch-cow, and the vital power have taken up.
त्वष्टा तुरीपो ऽ अद्भुत ऽ इन्द्राग्नी पुष्टिवर्धना । द्विपदा छन्द ऽ इन्द्रियम् उक्षा गौर् न वयो दधुः
Tvaṣṭṛ the shaper, the wondrous one, Indra and Agni, increasers of nourishment, the Dvipadā meter, the strength, the bull, the cow as a bull, and the vital power have taken up.
शमिता नो वनस्पतिः सविता प्रसुवन् भगम् । ककुप् छन्द ऽ इहेन्द्रियं वशा वेहद् वयो दधुः
The vanaspati as pacifier, Savitṛ bestowing fortune, the Kakubh meter, the eighth strength, the cow as a heifer, and the vital power have taken up.
स्वाहा यज्ञं वरुणः सुक्षत्रो भेषजं करत् । अतिच्छन्दा ऽइन्द्रियं बृहद् ऋषभो गौर् वयो दधुः
May Varuṇa, with good rule, make the sacrifice successful with 'svāhā', may he make the remedy; the Aticchandā meter, the great bull, the cow, and the vital power have taken up.
वसन्तेन ऽ ऋतुना देवा वसवस् त्रिवृता स्तुताः । रथन्तरेण तेजसा हविर् इन्द्रे वयो दधुः
With the season of spring, the gods, the Vasus, praised with the threefold hymn, with the brilliance of the Rathantara, the oblation, Indra, and the vital power have taken up.
ग्रीष्मेण ऽ ऋतुना देवा रुद्राः पञ्चदशे स्तुताः । बृहता यशसा बलꣳ हविर् इन्द्रे वयो दधुः
With the summer season, the gods, the Rudras, were praised in the fifteenth hymn; with great glory, they gave strength, offering oblation to Indra, and bestowed vitality.
वर्षाभिर् ऋतुनादित्या स्तोमे सप्तदशे स्तुताः । वैरूपेण विशौजसा हविर् इन्द्रे वयो दधुः
With the rainy season, the Ādityas were praised in the seventeenth hymn; with manifold and universal might, they gave oblation to Indra, and bestowed vitality.
शारदेन ऽ ऋतुना देवा ऽ एकविꣳश ऽ ऋभव स्तुताः । वैराजेन श्रिया श्रियꣳ हविर् इन्द्रे वयो दधुः
With the autumn season, the gods, the Ṛbhus, were praised in the twenty-first hymn; with splendid majesty, they gave prosperity, offering oblation to Indra, and bestowed vitality.
हेमन्तेन ऽ ऋतुना देवास् त्रिणवे मरुत स्तुताः । बलेन शक्वरीः सहो हविर् इन्द्रे वयो दधुः
With the winter season, the gods, the Maruts, were praised in the thirty-ninth hymn; with strength and power, they gave oblation to Indra, and bestowed vitality.
शैशिरेण ऽ ऋतुना देवास् त्रयस्त्रिꣳशे ऽमृता स्तुताः । सत्येन रेवतीः क्षत्रꣳ हविर् इन्द्रे वयो दधुः
With the cool season, the gods, the Immortals, were praised in the thirty-third hymn; with truth and abundance, they gave sovereignty, offering oblation to Indra, and bestowed vitality.
होता यक्षत् समिधाग्निम् इडस् पदे ऽश्विनेन्द्रꣳ सरस्वतीम् अजो धूम्रो न गोधूमैः कुवलैर् भेषजं मधु शष्पैर् न तेज ऽ इन्द्रियं पयः सोमः परिस्रुता घृतं मधु व्यन्त्व् आज्यस्य होतर् यज
Let the Hotar worship Agni with kindling, at the place of Iḍā, with the Aśvins, Indra, Sarasvatī, and the dark ram, with barley, with remedies, with honey, with tender grass, with vigor, with strength, with milk, with Soma, with clarified butter, with honey; let the Hotar offer the oblation.
होता यक्षत् तनूनपात् सरस्वती अविर् मेषो न भेषजं पथा मधुमता भरन्न् अश्विनेन्द्राय वीर्यं बदरैर् उपवाकाभिर् भेषजं तोक्मभिः पयः सोमः परिस्रुता घृतं मधु व्यन्त्व् आज्यस्य होतर् यज
Let the Hotar worship Tanūnapāt, Sarasvatī, the bright ram, with remedies, bringing strength for the Aśvins and Indra, with jujube fruits, with upavākā herbs, with remedies, with milk, with Soma, with clarified butter, with honey; let the Hotar offer the oblation.
होता यक्षन्नराशꣳसं न नग्नहुं पतिꣳ सुरया भेषजं मेषः सरस्वती भिषग् रथो न चन्द्र्य् अश्विनोर् वपा ऽ इन्द्रस्य वीर्यं बदरैर् उपवाकाभिर् भेषजं तोक्मभिः पयः सोमः परिस्रुता घृतं मधु व्यन्त्व् आज्यस्य होतर् यज
Let the Hotar worship Narāśaṃsa, the naked lord, with surā, with remedies, the ram, Sarasvatī the healer, the chariot of the Aśvins, the flesh of Indra, with jujube fruits, with upavākā herbs, with remedies, with milk, with Soma, with clarified butter, with honey; let the Hotar offer the oblation.
होता यक्षद् इडेडित ऽ आजुह्वानः सरस्वतीम् इन्द्रं बलेन वर्धयन्न् ऋषभेण गवेन्द्रियम् अश्विनेन्द्राय भेषजं यवैर् कर्कन्धुभिर् मधु लाजैर् न मासरं पयः सोमः परिस्रुता घृतं मधु व्यन्त्व् आज्यस्य होतर् यज
Let the Hotar worship Iḍā, the invoked one, Sarasvatī, increasing Indra's strength with the bull's power, for the Aśvins and Indra, with remedies, with barley, with karkandhu fruits, with honey, with roasted grains, with milk, with Soma, with clarified butter, with honey; let the Hotar offer the oblation.
होता यक्षद् बर्हिर् ऊर्णम्रदा भिषङ् नासत्या भिषजाश्विनाश्वा शिशुमती भिषग् धेनुः सरस्वती भिषग् दुह ऽ इन्द्राय भेषजं पयः सोमः परिस्रुता घृतं मधु व्यन्त्व् आज्यस्य होतर् यज
Let the Hotar worship the sacred grass, the wool-bearing healer, the Aśvins, the horse, the healer cow, Sarasvatī the healer, milking remedies for Indra, with milk, with Soma, with clarified butter, with honey; let the Hotar offer the oblation.
होता यक्षद् दुरो दिशः कवष्यो न व्यचस्वतीर् अश्विभ्यां न दुरो दिश ऽ इन्द्रो न रोदसी दुघे दुहे धेनुः सरस्वत्य् अश्विनेन्द्राय भेषजꣳ शुक्रं न ज्योतिर् इन्द्रियं पयः सोमः परिस्रुता घृतं मधु व्यन्त्व् आज्यस्य होतर् यज
Let the Hotar worship the distant directions, the swift ones, for the Aśvins, the distant directions, Indra, the two worlds, the milking cow, Sarasvatī, for the Aśvins and Indra, with remedies, with brightness, with strength, with milk, with Soma, with clarified butter, with honey; let the Hotar offer the oblation.
होता यक्षत् सुपेशसोषे नक्तं दिवाश्विना समञ्जति सरस्वत्या त्विषिम् इन्द्रे न भेषजꣳ श्येनो न रजसा हृदा श्रिया न मासरं पयः सोमः परिस्रुता घृतं मधु व्यन्त्व् आज्यस्य होतर् यज
Let the Hotar worship the beautiful night and day, the Aśvins, the radiance of Sarasvatī, Indra, with remedies, like the eagle soaring in the sky, with splendor, with milk, with Soma, with clarified butter, with honey; let the Hotar offer the oblation.
