He who, with strength, has cut through the cows, even those among the stones, and has entered the enclosure for cattle and horses, like a warrior with armor, break through with boldness.

Thus the pure Soma, the gentle one, the forest-born, O Indra, bring to us the greatest, most powerful fame, as you, O strong-armed, wish to uphold both worlds, O fair-bearded one.
Indra is king of all peoples, ruling over them; whatever of his all-formed he gives to the worshipper, he grants riches, even to the one who praises from nearby.
By whose might, yoked with the spaces, among men, the great delight of Indra is to be found.
Raise up, O Varuna, from us the highest snare, release the lowest and the middle; then, O Aditya, by your law, may we, sinless, belong to Aditi.
With you, O purified Soma, may we win in battle, ever victorious; may Mitra, Varuna, Aditi, the river, the earth, and the sky not harm us.
Make this one, O vigorous ones, the foremost among us.
For Indra, for sacrifice, for Varuna, for the Maruts, flow forth, Soma, granting wide space.
With this, desiring all the glories of men, O noble one, may we conquer.
I am the first-born of the cosmic order, earlier than the gods, the name of immortality; whoever gives me, he indeed attains thus— I am food, I eat the eater of food.
You sustained this among the black cows, among the red ones, and among the speckled ones, with shining milk.

The bull, difficult to restrain, the foremost among the speckled ones, bellows and moves among the worlds, desiring prize. The magicians measured him by his magic; the fathers with human sight took up his embryo.
Indra, together with the two harnessed ones, mingled, with speech yoked, Indra the wielder of the golden thunderbolt.
Indra, protect us in contests and in those with a thousand prizes, O mighty one, with your mighty aids.
The name of him who spreads and who is spread, of the Anuṣṭubh offering, the offering which is the carrier of gifts, Vasiṣṭha took up from the brilliance of the supporter, from Savitar and Viṣṇu, the Rathantara.

May radiance be in me, and also fame, and also the essence of sacrifice; may Prajāpati, the supreme, establish it in heaven as he does the sky.
May your nourishing powers come together, may the prizes unite, may the strengths that overcome opposition join. Soma, being enriched for immortality, place the highest fame in heaven.
You, Soma, created all these plants, you created the waters, you created the cows. You expanded the wide atmosphere from your body; with your light, you drove away the darkness.
I praise Agni, the priest, the god of the sacrifice, the officiant, the bestower of treasures.
They considered the first name of the cows, thrice seven, the highest name of the peoples. Those knowing them followed after; the reddish, famous cows appeared on the earth.

Now let us praise the greatness of the bull, the red one. Let our speech go forth to Jātavedas in the assembly, to Vaiśvānara, to the fresh-minded one. Pure, like Soma when purified, beautiful for Agni.
May all the gods hear my sacrifice, both heaven and earth, and the son of the waters. May my words not be scattered among you; may I speak them in your favor, may we rejoice at the end.
