With this purification, purify the treasures; let Indra, the mighty, flow forth in the stream. Even the breaker, whose movement is like the wind, and the wise Purumedhas, establish the man.
That great Soma, the mighty one, became the embryo of the waters, chose the gods, placed strength in Indra, and, as it was purified, generated light in the sun, O Moon.
The active one was released, swift as a chariot in battle, by thought and by the first inspiration. Ten sisters cleanse the fire on the summit, in the abode, with pure waters.
The waves of the waters, swift-flowing, move forward with thought toward Soma, approaching in reverence; they come together and enter the shining, the radiant one.
The sixth and the second half are for you, O pressers, for the joy of the pressed Soma. Friends, drive away the long-tongued dog from the offering.
This Pūṣan, the wealth, the fortune, Soma, as it is purified, flows forth, the lord of all existence, revealing both heaven and earth.
The pressed Somas, rich in sweetness, delight Indra; purified, they flow, O gods, may your exhilarations reach you.
The Somas, purified, flow for us, bestowing paths and knowledge; friendly, flawless, self-sustaining, knowing the light.
Pour out for us, O Soma, the most prize-winning wealth, desired by hundreds, bearing thousands, with great splendor and shining brilliance.
They approach us, harmless, desiring what is dear to Indra; like mothers caressing their newborn calf in its early life.
For the eager one, for the powerful, they stretch the bow, manifesting heroism; the bright ones go forth for the lord, for the mighty, at the forefront, O youthful ones.
They purify that tawny, swift one, the brown, with water; who, with all the gods, goes forth together with exhilaration.
The mortal, pressing the Soma, utters those words; drive away the dog of evil deeds, as the Bhṛgus did at the sacrifice.
The beloved, the swift-flowing, is purified, bearing names; the mighty one, upon whom the sun's greatness rests, ascends the broad chariot, seeing all.
Let the unurged drops flow for us; let the splendid ones, the swift horses, be great among the gods. Even those who do not eat, the desires, the adversaries, let them be ours, let our thoughts be fulfilled.
This one, in the vessel, sweet, has resounded; Indra's thunderbolt, most splendid of forms. The well-milked, ghee-flowing cows pour forth, and the streams flow with milk.
The Moon has gone forth, O Indra, to your abode; a friend, like friendship, does not diminish the song. Like a young man with maidens, Soma strives in the vessel, with a hundredfold strength along the path.
The supporter of heaven, the skillful juice, is purified; the wise one, praised by the gods and men, the tawny one, releasing, like a horse with its strength, performs deeds in the rivers.
The bull among thoughts, discerning Soma, is purified; he, surpassing the days, awakens the dawns; he gives breath to heaven, to the rivers, to the vessels, and enters Indra’s heart with the inspired.
For him, three times, seven cows have yielded their milk; the true, immortal one in the highest heaven; four other worlds he has set apart, and made them beautiful.
O Soma, well-pressed for Indra, flow forth; may you be a remover of affliction, together with protection; let not your essence delight the two-faced, but here let the generous drops be present.
Soma, the tawny, the bull, is pressed out for the two bay steeds; like a mighty king, he bellows over the cows; purified, he seeks the unaging path, like an eagle he settles in the butter-rich womb.
Forth to the god, the honeyed drops have flowed, like cows to their calf, like milch cows to the altar; those who dwell on the sacred grass, full of speech, with their streams have reached the uncovered one.
They adorn, they brighten, they join together; they stir up the will, they unite with the generous; at the river’s outflow, the golden-hoofed seize the swift one leaping, the beast in the waters.
Your filter is spread out, O Lord of Prayer; you, the mighty, encompass all bodies everywhere; like one whose body is unheated, no harm touches him; those who have strained, bearing, reach that together.
To Indra, these pressed ones, let the strong steeds go; the drops, born for hearing, knowing the light.
Awake, O Soma, flow forth for Indra; bring radiant strength, bring the light-bringer.
Friends, sit down for the purified one, sing forth; surround the child with sacrifices for adornment.
Sing to him, purified for your exhilaration, friends; delight the child with offerings and praises.
The child, breathing forth for the great ones, impels the light of truth; he encompasses all the beloved things, holding them in duality.
