Let there be hearing; let us place Agni in the front with thought; now let us choose that divine strength; we choose Indra and Vayu; when they, striving, join the new navel of the shining one, then indeed our thoughts approach the gods, our thoughts approach the gods.
May our thoughts go forth to the great Vishnu, to the Maruts, born of the mountain, to the Maruts for their troop, for sacrifice, for easy giving, for strength, for the bestowal of blessings, to the upholders of vows, to the mighty.
With this golden radiance, purified, he overcomes all hatreds with his team, like the sun with his team; the streams on his back shine, purified, the ruddy, golden one, as he moves through all forms with his seven songs, with his seven mouths.
I praise that god Savitar, the mighty, of wise action, true in impulse, the treasure-holder, with dear thought; whose thought is raised high, whose impulse flashes forth; in his command, the golden-handed, the good in action, has measured out the heavens, the self-radiant one.

I consider Agni the priest, the generous one, son of strength, knower of all births, wise as the knower of all births; who, with upright rites, is the god with divine compassion, the spreader of ghee, with bright flame, who calls forth the clarified butter.
That first, ancient deed of yours, O heroic Indra, is to be spoken of in heaven; which, by the god's might, you accomplished, breaking open the waters, you made all the world overflow with strength, O hundred-powered one, you made nourishment, you made food.

With that most excellent exhilaration of yours, flow forth with the sacred drink, O god, heroic one, destroyer of curses.
Three voices are raised, the cows low, the milch-cows bellow; the tawny one comes roaring.
O Soma, flow for Indra and the Maruts, most sweet, having settled in the womb of the chant.
This bright drop, for exhilaration, with skill, has settled in the waters, like an eagle in its nest on the mountain.
Flow, accomplishing skill, for the gods to drink, O tawny one; the exhilaration is for the Maruts and for Vāyu.

The resounding Soma, mountain-born, has flowed through the filter; in exhilarations you are all-pervading.

The pressed Somas, rich in exhilaration, have advanced for our fame, O generous one, in the assembly.
The wise Somas, like buffaloes, lead forth the waters as waves, breaking through the woods.
Flow, O Soma, strong and pressed; make us renowned among people; drive away all hatreds.
Truly you are strong with brilliance; we call upon you, O purified one, radiant with light, who makes heaven visible.
The drop, entering the filter, conscious, dear to the poets, sends forth thought like a charioteer his horse.
The swift, cattle-winning Somas, horse-winning, bright, strong, have flowed forth, eager for heroism.
Flow, O god, for long life; may your exhilaration reach Indra; ascend to Vāyu by the right path.
The purified one has generated the wondrous heaven, like thunder; the great universal light.
The resounding drops, for exhilaration, with their splendor, with the voice of sweetness, stream forth with their flow.
The sage has sent forth the waves of the river, having taken his place; bearing the poet, desiring much, he holds fast.
The gods have sought the Soma, born at dawn, purified by the cows, filtered and adorned, the first portion of the sixth pressing.
Purifying himself, the wise one advanced beyond all hostilities; they glorify the inspired sage with their hymns.
The pressed Soma enters the vessel, flowing with all glories; Soma is offered to Indra with devotion.
Like a charioteer, the pressed Soma was set in motion in the filter of the pressing stones, advancing swiftly like a steed.
