Now, O Indra, come to us, great one, with your mighty protections.
He, Indra, who established both worlds with his strength and vigor, as if stretching out the two skins.
This word of yours, like a pigeon to its nest, has come close; you have not neglected it.
May the wind bring us healing, bringing happiness and delight to our hearts; may it carry away our ailments.
The person whom the wise ones, Varuṇa, Mitra, and Aryaman protect—no one can harm that person.
May we, as in times before, have abundance of cows, horses, and chariots, for the sake of great renown.
These, O Indra, the spotted ones, yield clarified butter in abundance; these streams flow with the nectar of immortality.
With this prayer and desire for cattle, O much-praised one, you, Indra, have become manifest at the Soma offering.
May Sarasvatī, pure and rich in horses, full of strength, desire our sacrifice, she who is bountiful in wisdom.
Who among the descendants of Nahusha will satisfy Indra with Soma? May he bring us riches.
Come here, for you are truly eager, O Indra; drink this Soma. Here is my seat on the sacred grass.
Great is the shelter of the three—of Mitra, Aryaman, and the unconquerable Varuṇa.
With your help, O Indra, much-invoked leader, we are the guides and upholders of the chariots.
The third, the first portion—may the Somas gladden you; grant us wealth, O stone-armed one, and strike down the haters of prayer.
O song-loving Indra, protect our pressed Soma; you are delighted by streams of sweetness, and from you comes renowned glory.
Indra is always to be praised; no god who is worshipped turns away from him, the heroic Indra.
To you, Indra, the drops flow together like rivers to the ocean; no one surpasses you, Indra.
The singers chant only Indra, the mighty; with hymns they praise Indra, and the voices call upon Indra.
May Indra grant us strength and the wealth of the Ribhus; may the mighty one bestow upon us vigor and the power to strive.
Indeed, Indra, let him dispel great fear; for he is steadfast and wise among men.
These praises, O singer of the skies, are composed for you; the hymns seek you as cows seek their calf.
We call upon Indra and Pūṣan for friendship, for well-being, and for the attainment of strength.
O Indra, there is none superior or greater than you, slayer of Vṛtra; none is like you.
I praise the swift one among people, the giver of wealth and cattle, the equal of all.
I have poured forth my hymns to you, Indra; they rise to you, the mighty bull, the lord, in harmony.
That mortal is well-guided whom the Maruts, Aryaman, and Mitra, who do no harm, support.
Whatever, Indra, is hidden, firm, or concealed, whatever precious wealth is withheld, bring that to us.
We have heard of your most renowned deed, O slayer of Vṛtra, for the benefit and greatness of the people.
May we, O Indra, reach fame through your help, O hero; may we, O mighty one, attain the highest goal.
Accept from us, Indra, in the morning, the offerings of grain, cakes, and hymns.
