The singers, skilled in hymns and guidance, praise you; Indra and Agni, I choose you for wealth.
Indra and Agni, you shook down ninety forts of the Dāsa women, together, with a single deed.

To you, whose form is radiant, we send forth our songs, O Agni, full of energy and power.
We have come to your shelter as to the shade of the sun, O Agni, whose form is golden, for your protection.
Like a fierce archer, with sharp horns like a bull, O Agni, you have shattered the forts.
We seek Viśvānar Agni, lord of truth and light, the unceasing heat, for the ritual.
He who has spread this sacrifice, the highest light of the ritual, releases the seasons at will.
Agni, in beloved abodes, the desire of what has been and what will be, shines alone in splendor with his kin.
The third eighth part—Agni, with ancient birth, shining with his own form, has grown through the poet’s wisdom.
I call upon Agni, descendant of strength, with pure flames, in this sacrifice, in this sacred rite.
May you, O Agni, of great might, be our friend; with your bright flame, sit here on the sacred grass together with the gods.

Let your powers rise up, breaking the demon, O stone-splitter; drive away all those who oppose us.

Come, Indra, with your splendid horses adorned with peacock feathers; let no one, not even the binders, restrain you—come here as an archer overcomes the target.
You, destroyer of Vṛtra, break the enclosure, shatter the strongholds, born of water, charioteer of the bay steeds; Indra, you have broken even the firm ones.
You foster deep resolve like the ocean; like cows, you grant rich pasture; as rivers flow to a lake, so do you gather abundance.
As a bull, thirsty, comes to water, not turning away, so come to us, to our ancestors and to us; join the Kanvas, drink with us.
Let the pressed Somas delight you, generous Indra, for the one who offers gifts; you drank the Soma of that one, the best, in the bowl, and took the strength.
You alone, O god of great might, are praised; no one else but you, generous Indra, is the helper of mortals—I speak these words to you.
May your gifts and your aid never fail us, O generous one; let them never be diminished for us—measure out all human treasures for the peoples.
