अभि त्वा वृषभा सुते सुतं सृजामि पीतये तृम्पा व्यश्नुही मदम्
To you, the bull, at the pressing of Soma, I pour out the pressed drink for your enjoyment; be satisfied, partake of the delight.
य इन्द्र चमसेष्वा सोमश्चमूषु ते सुतः पिबेदस्य त्वमीशिषे
O Indra, the Soma pressed in the cups and in the vessels is yours; drink of it, for you are the lord of it.
योगेयोगे तवस्तरं वाजेवाजे हवामहे सखाय इन्द्रमूतये
In union and reunion, with strength upon strength, we call Indra, friend, for aid in the contest.
आ त्वेता नि षीदतेन्द्रमभि प्र गायत सखायः स्तोमवाहसः
Come here and be seated, Indra; let us sing forth together, O friends, with voices full of praise.
इदं ह्यन्वोजसा सुतं राधानां पते पिबा त्वास्य गिर्वणः
This pressed Soma is indeed for you, Lord of gifts; drink it, O singer, with your might.
महां इन्द्रः पुरश्च नो महित्वमस्तु वज्रिणे द्यौर्न प्रथिना शवः
May Indra, mighty, be foremost for us; may greatness belong to the wielder of the thunderbolt; may heaven not limit his power.
आ तू न इन्द्र क्षुमन्तं चित्रं ग्राभं सं गृभाय महाहस्ती दक्षिणेन
Come, Indra, grasp for us the splendid prize, rich in land, with your great right hand.
अभि प्र गोपतिं गिरेन्द्रमर्च यथा विदे सूनुं सत्यस्य सत्पतिम्
Sing forth to the lord of herds, to Indra of the mountains, as is fitting, to the son of truth, the true master.
कया नश्चित्र आ भुवदूती सदावृधः सखा कया शचिष्ठया वृता
By what wondrous means does our ever-growing friend become our messenger? By what most powerful support is he chosen?
त्यमु वः सत्रासाहं विश्वासु गीर्ष्वायतम् आ च्यावयस्यूतये
That mighty one who conquers in gatherings, offer him your songs in all assemblies, for stirring and aid.
सदसस्पतिमद्भुतं प्रियमिन्द्रस्य काम्यम् सनिं मेधामयासिषम्
To the lord of the seat, wondrous, beloved, desired by Indra, bring the offering, rich in wisdom.
ये ते पन्था अधो दिवो येभिर्व्यश्वमैरयः उत श्रोषन्तु नो भुवः
Those paths of yours beneath the sky, by which you drove forth the horse, may they hear us, O gods.
भद्रंभद्रं न आ भरेषमूर्जं शतक्रतो यदिन्द्र मृडयासि नः
May good fortune, good fortune come to us, O hundred-powered Indra, when you grant us strength and favor.
अस्ति सोमो अयं सुतः पिबन्त्यस्य मरुतः उत स्वराजो अश्विना
This Soma is pressed; the Maruts drink of it, and also the radiant Ashvins.
ईङ्खयन्तीरपस्युव इन्द्रं जातमुपासते वन्वानासः सुवीर्यम्
The observing ones, full of longing, worship Indra, born for victory, eager for heroic strength.
न कि देवा इनीमसि न क्या योपयामसि मन्त्रश्रुत्यं चरामसि
We do not harm the gods, nor do we approach wrongly; we walk the path of sacred utterance.
दोषो आगाद्बृहद्गाय द्युमद्गामन्नाथर्वण स्तुहि देवं सवितारम्
Dawn has come, with great song, with radiant song; Atharvan, praise the divine Savitar.
एषो उषा अपूर्व्या व्युच्छति प्रिया दिवः स्तुषे वामश्विना बृहत्
This unprecedented dawn shines forth; beloved of heaven, I praise you, Ashvins, with a lofty hymn.
इन्द्रो दधीचो अस्थभिर्वृत्राण्यप्रतिष्कुतः जघान नवतीर्नव
Indra, with the bones of Dadhichi, unconquered, struck down ninety and nine foes.
इन्द्रेहि मत्स्यन्धसो विश्वेभिः सोमपर्वभिः महां अभिष्टिरोजसा
Come, Indra, with the exhilarating Soma, with all the festivals of Soma, mighty, with abundant strength.
आ तू न इन्द्र गहि महान्महीभिरूतिभिः
Now, O Indra, come to us, great one, with your mighty protections.
ओजस्तदस्य तित्विष उभे यत्समवर्तयत् इन्द्रश्चर्मेव रोदसी
He, Indra, who established both worlds with his strength and vigor, as if stretching out the two skins.
अयमु ते समतसि कपोत इव गर्भधिम् वचस्तच्चिन्न ओहसे
This word of yours, like a pigeon to its nest, has come close; you have not neglected it.
वात आ वातु बेषजं शम्भु मयोभु नो हृदे प्र न अयूंषि तारिषत्
May the wind bring us healing, bringing happiness and delight to our hearts; may it carry away our ailments.
यं रक्षन्ति प्रचेतसो वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमा न किः स दभ्यते जनः
The person whom the wise ones, Varuṇa, Mitra, and Aryaman protect—no one can harm that person.
गव्यो षु णो यथा पुराश्वयोत रथया वरिवस्या महोनाम्
May we, as in times before, have abundance of cows, horses, and chariots, for the sake of great renown.
इमास्त इन्द्र पृश्नयो घृतं दुहत आशिरम् एनामृतस्य पिप्युषीः
These, O Indra, the spotted ones, yield clarified butter in abundance; these streams flow with the nectar of immortality.
अया धिया च गव्यया पुरुणामन्पुरुष्टुत यत्सोमेसोम आभुवः
With this prayer and desire for cattle, O much-praised one, you, Indra, have become manifest at the Soma offering.
पावका नः सरस्वती वाजेभिर्वाजिनीवती यज्ञं वष्टु धियावसुः
May Sarasvatī, pure and rich in horses, full of strength, desire our sacrifice, she who is bountiful in wisdom.
क इमं नाहुषीष्वा इन्द्रं सोमस्य तर्पयात् स नो वसून्या भरात्
Who among the descendants of Nahusha will satisfy Indra with Soma? May he bring us riches.
