You know the wealth of the traders; you gather it with the mothers into your own house. With the thoughts of truth, in the house, you make the distant song, where the thoughts contend. With the three-colored, shining wings, you have placed radiance; you have placed radiance. And for us, grant the wealth of cows, the thought of horses, and the strength of men for help.
Of the one who is joyful, O men, of the sweating one, of true strength, know the desire of the eager one.
May the sons listen to our songs, those who are immortal; may they be gracious to us.

For you two, we bring a great and shining praise, O heaven and earth, pure for your commendation.
Purifying yourselves, you rule with your own power, each with your own form; you have carried forward the ancient truth.
Great is the aid of Mitra, crossing over, upholding truth; around the sacrifice you have taken your seat.
This, at your assembly, is like a pigeon in the nest; this word, indeed, I do not conceal from you.
O lord of gifts, singer of praises, heroic one, may your glory be accompanied by fair speech.

Stand upright for our help, O hundred-powered one, in this contest; let us speak among the allies.
The cows have come to the watering place, great with the sap of the sacrifice, both ears adorned with gold.
The stones have flowed together, the sweet juice poured into the vessel, at the outflow of the watering place.
They pour out with reverence at the watering place, the high-spoked, far-traveling, never-failing stream.
Let us not fear, nor grow weary in your fierce companionship; O mighty one, let us witness the great deeds you have accomplished for Turvasha and Yadu.
With your left flank you stir, O powerful one; the giver does not grow angry at this. The cows, mingled with honey and adorned, come forth; approach, drink the flowing nectar.
These songs of mine, O Purūvasa, radiant and pure, wise and discerning, have praised you with hymns.
This one, honored by a thousand sages, has spread forth like the ocean; true is his greatness, I praise his power in the sacrifices and in the sovereignty of the wise.
For whom all, Aryan and Dasa, are subject; the enemy, even when hostile, is subdued. To you, O radiant one, wealth is offered.
The swift ones have sung the honeyed, clarified butter; the sages have chanted the hymn. For us, wealth has spread, the mighty power; for us, the streams, O Indu, are our own.
O Indu, pressed with cows and horses, skillful, wealthy, pure in color, you are to be held among the cows.
Be for us, O Indu, the lord of the Haris, most divine, like a friend in friendship, shining among the noble.
You, O Indu, drive away from us any godless, hostile one; you are mighty, dispel the double-minded.

They anoint, adorn, and unite; they stir the power, they anoint with honey. The golden-hooved ones seize the animal in the waters, as it breathes and flies from the river.
Sing to the wise, purifying one; the great stream flows, darkness rushes. Like a snake shedding its skin, the splendid one glides, like a playful youth, the tawny one moves forth.
The foremost king shines, exalted, established in the world by day; the tawny one, bathed in clarified butter, beautiful, oceanic, radiant-charioted, is purified for wealth and home.
The eighth, the first half, with all the fires, O Agni, with the fires, this sacrifice, this speech, may it be accomplished with strength and glory.
Whatever, indeed, is perpetual, we worship each god; for you, the offering is kindled.

We call upon Indra, surpassing all, for the people; may he be ours alone.
May you, O mighty one, accept this offering at the sacrificial feast; increase nourishment for us, unconquered.
Like a bull among the herd, born of lineage, you stir the peoples with your strength; you are the lord, unconquered.
