At the offerings, as they desire, they establish a support in heaven; to Indra and Agni, homage and bliss.
That indeed is the greatest among beings, from whom the fierce, mighty one was born; newly born, he at once overcomes foes, and all the goddesses rejoice in him.
Increasing in strength, possessing much vigor, he brings fear to the enemy for the Dasa; he has protected and scattered, he has conquered, and they bow to you at the gifts and in the delights.
In you, all choose wisdom; when these two become three, the delights are most sweet; sweeter than sweet, pour forth the exhilaration, blend the honey with the honeyed draughts.
At the three-wooded press, the buffalo with barley-mixed strength, very mighty, drank the pressed Soma with Vishnu as he wished; he rejoiced in it, to perform a great deed; the true god accompanied the god, the true Soma accompanied true Indra.
Born together with power, together with might you grew, together with strength you excelled in heroic deeds; you conquered foes, wise one, giver of desired wealth to the praiser; the true god accompanied the god, the true Soma accompanied true Indra.
Then, with surpassing might and strength, he became fierce in battle, he filled the two worlds by his greatness; he grew greatly, took another into his belly, and shone forth; the true god accompanied the god, the true Soma accompanied true Indra.
The seventh, the first portion, sing forth to the lord of the cows, to mountain-Indra, as is fitting, to the true lord of truth.
The bays have been set in motion, the ruddy ones on the sacred grass, where we assemble together.
For Indra, the cows have milked out the barley-mixed draught; for the wielder of the bolt, the honey which he finds in the gathering.
May our offering summon Indra in all assemblies; let the hymns and libations approach the slayer of Vritra, the most mighty, with praise.
You are the first giver of wealth, you are truly the lord of riches; we choose you, mighty one, as the worthy son of strength and greatness.
The ancient, nourishing, primeval, and praiseworthy, the great ones have milked forth from heaven; they sang together at Indra's birth.
Some, seeing, have approached the ancient, watery, shining treasures of heaven; like the sun, Savitar spreads out the covering of the sky.
O Purifier, when you move, you encompass these two worlds and all beings with your might; like a bull among herds, you shine forth in splendor.
Now, Agni, proclaim for us this new song of praise among the gods, as our companion.
You are divided, O radiant one, as the waves of the river; you swiftly flow towards the worshipper, bestowing gifts.
Grant us a share in the highest, in the prizes, and teach us in the middle; O giver, in the end as well.
Indeed, I have grasped the wisdom of the immortal father; I was born like the sun.
With ancient birth, I adorn the hymns like the Kanvas, by which Indra acquired strength.
Those sages who did not praise you, Indra, and those who did praise you, you are well praised.
Agni, be pleased with our prayer, together with all the fires, O mighty one; those who are divine and long-lived, with them exalt our hymns.
Agni, together with all the fires, advances; he whose offspring are strong, surrounded by us with fitting prizes.
Agni, with the fires, inspire us for prayer and sacrifice; urge us to give wealth for the sake of divinity.
In you, Soma, the first ones placed the sacred grass for great prize and fame; so you, hero, urge us to heroism.
You have pierced through with fame, like a stream that none can hold back, like a bearer with arrows in his hands.
The immortal was born for mortals, according to the law of the immortal and its beauty; always bringing prize, let it be sought.
Pour the Soma for Indra; he drinks the honeyed Soma and, by his greatness, urges on the rewards.
I spoke to the lord of the steeds, who grants rewards; now listen to the praise of the horse.
Indeed, O friend, never before nor now has anyone been more heroic than you; neither in wealth, nor in ways, nor in bonds.
