अ पवमान् व्यश्नुहि रश्मिभिर्वाजसातमः च् दधत्स्तोत्रे सुवीर्यम्
O purifying one, spread out with your rays, bestower of strength, granting heroic power to the hymn of praise.
अ परीतो षिञ्चता सुतं सोमो य उत्तमं हविः च् दधन्वां यो नर्यो अप्स्वान्तरा सुषाव सोममद्रिभिः
Pour around the pressed Soma, which is the highest offering, he who holds it, the noble one, has pressed Soma with stones in the waters.
अ नूनं पुनानो ऽविभिः परि स्रवादब्धः सुरभिन्तरः च् सुते चित्वाप्सु मदामो अन्धसा श्रीणन्तो गोभिरुत्तरम्
Now let the purified one flow around with his streams, unbound, most fragrant; even in the pressing he delights in the waters, tasting the Soma, adorned with cows, the highest.
अ परि स्वानश्चक्षसे देवमादनः क्रतुरिन्दुर्विचक्षणः
The resounding, far-seeing, wise Soma, delight of the gods, flows around for vision.
अ असावि सोमो अरुषो वृषा हरी राजेव दस्मो अभि गा अचिक्रदत् च् पुनानो वारमत्येष्यव्ययं श्येनो न योनिं घृतवन्तमासदत्
That Soma, lively, tawny, a vigorous bull, with his two bays, like a mighty king, has loudly called out to the cows; purified, he seeks the unfailing shelter, like an eagle he has reached the seat rich in ghee.
अ पर्जन्यः पिता महिषस्य पर्णिनो नाभा पृथिव्या गिरिषु क्षयं दधे च् स्वसार आपो अभि गा उदासरन्त्सं ग्रावभिर्वसते वीते अध्वरे
Parjanya is the father of the horned buffalo, the navel of the earth, he has established his dwelling in the mountains; the waters, his sisters, have flowed towards the cows, he abides with the pressing stones at the sacred rite.
अ कविर्वेधस्या पर्येषि माहिनमत्यो न मृष्टो अभि वाजमर्षसि च् अपसेधन्दुरिता सोम नो मृड घृता वसानः परि यासि निर्णिजम्
O inspired one, you seek the greatness of the wise creator, like a well-adorned steed you rush towards the prize; Soma, driving away what is harmful, grant us happiness, clothed in ghee you pass around the trough.
अ श्रायन्त इव सूर्यं विश्वेदिन्द्रस्य भक्षत च् वसूनि जातो जनिमान्योजसा प्रति भागं न दीधिमः
All the people gaze at Indra as at the sun; born with strength, he has attained the sources of wealth, as we have won our share.
अ अलर्षिरातिं वसुदामुप स्तुहि भद्रा इन्द्रस्य रातयः च् यो अस्य कामं विधतो न रोषति मनो दानाय चोदयन्
Praise the generous giver of wealth, the bounties of Indra are auspicious; he who does not restrain his desire for him, urging his mind to giving.
अ यत इन्द्र भयामहे ततो नो अभ्यं कृधि च् मघवन्छग्धि तव तन्न ऊतये वि द्विषो वि मृधो जहि
From whom, O Indra, we are afraid, from him make us safe; O bountiful one, drive away that for our aid, scatter our foes and adversaries.
अ त्वं हि राधस्पते राधसो महः क्षयस्यासि विध्रत्ता च् तं त्वा वयं मघवन्निन्द्र गिर्वणः सुतावन्तो हवामहे
For you, lord of riches, are the holder of great wealth and prosperity; you, O generous Indra, singer of praises, we invoke with pressed Soma.
अ त्वं सोमासि धारयुर्मन्द्र ओजिष्ठो अध्वरे च् पवस्व मंहयद्रयिः
You, Soma, are the supporter, most delightful and powerful at the sacrifice; flow forth, bringing joy and wealth.
अ त्वं सुतो मदिन्तमो दधन्वान्मत्सरिन्तमः च् इन्दुः सत्राजिदस्तृतः
You, pressed, are most exhilarating, most inspiring, O Soma; the drop, victorious in all contests, protected.
अ त्वं सुष्वाणो अद्रिभिरभ्यर्ष कनिक्रदत् च् द्युमन्तं शुष्मा भर
You, well-pressed with the stones, flow forth resounding, bring radiant might.
अ पवस्व देववीतय इन्दो धाराभिरोजसा च् आ कलशं मधुमान्त्सोम नः सदः
Flow, O Soma, for the gods' enjoyment, with your streams and strength; come into the vessel, sweet Soma, our seat.
अ तव द्रप्सा उदप्रुत इन्द्रं मदाय वावृधुः च् त्वां देवासो अमृताय कं पपुः
Your shining drops, O Soma, have swelled for Indra's exhilaration; you, the gods have drunk for immortality.
अ आ नः सुतास इन्दवः पुनाना धावता रयिम् च् वृष्टिद्यावो रीत्यापः स्वर्विदः
Come to us, purified Soma drops, bring us wealth; let the rain-filled heavens and flowing waters, givers of light, approach.
अ परि त्यं हर्यतं हरिं बभ्रुं पुनन्ति वारेण च् यो देवान्विश्वां इत्परि मदेन सह गच्छति
Around that tawny, desirable steed, they purify with the filter, who, with all the gods, goes forth together with exhilaration.
अ द्विर्यं पञ्च स्वयशसं सखायो अद्रिसंहतम् च् प्रियमिन्द्रस्य काम्यं प्रस्नापयन्त ऊर्मयः
Twice five waves, self-glorious, friends, pressed by the stone, pour out the beloved, desirable for Indra.
अ इन्द्राय सोम पातवे वृत्रघ्ने परि षिच्यसे च् नरे च दक्षिणावते वीराय सदनासदे
For Indra, for drinking, O Soma, slayer of Vṛtra, you are poured out; for the man with the right hand, for the hero, for the one who sits in the seat.
अ पवस्व सोम महे दक्षायाश्वो न निक्तो वाजी धनाय
Flow, O Soma, for great skill, like a yoked horse, a prize-winner for wealth.
अ प्र ते सोतारो रसं मदाय पुनन्ति सोमं महे द्युम्नाय
The pressers purify you, Soma, for exhilaration, for great glory.
अ शिशुं जज्ञानं हरिं मृजन्ति पवित्रे सोमं देवेभ्य इन्दुम्
They cleanse the newborn child, the tawny one, in the purifier—Soma, the drop, for the gods.
अ उषो षु जातमप्तुरं गोभिर्भङ्गं परिष्कृतम् च् इन्दुं देवा अयासिषुः
O Dawn, the gods have approached the newly born, the swift one, pressed with cows and adorned, the drop.
अ नो गिरो वत्सं संशिश्वरीरिव च् य इन्द्रस्य हृदंसनिः
May our songs, like cows to a calf, reach him who delights the heart of Indra.
अ अर्षा नः सोम शं गवे धुक्षस्व पिप्युषीमिषम् च् वर्धा समुद्रमुक्थ्यम्
Flow for us, Soma, for blessing and for the cow; pour forth nourishing food, and swell the ocean of praise.
अ आ घा ये अग्निमिन्धते स्तृणन्ति बर्हिरानुषक् च् येषामिन्द्रो युवा सखा
Those who kindle Agni, who spread the sacred grass in order, for whom Indra is a youthful friend—
अ बृहन्निदिध्म एषां भूरि शस्त्रं पृथुः स्वरुः च् येषामिन्द्रो युवा सखा
Great is their kindling, abundant their praise, wide their glory, for whom Indra is a youthful friend.
अ अयुद्ध इद्युधा वृतं शूर आजति सत्वभिः च् येषामिन्द्रो युवा सखा
Unconquered in battle, chosen by warriors, heroic with strength, for whom Indra is a youthful friend.
अ य एक इद्विदयते वसु मर्त्ताय दाशुषे च् ईशानो अप्रतिष्कुत इन्द्रो अङ्ग
He alone bestows wealth on the mortal who serves, Indra the lord, irresistible indeed.
