The ever-praised tree, pressing the cow that yields abundantly within, urges it on with human aid.
O purified Soma, grant us wealth with a thousand powers, O Indu, our own possession.

The wise poet, Soma, pressed with the stream, moves toward the beloved of heaven, to the distant one.
Your powers rise up, like the sound of the wave of the river; urge on the press-stone with your song.
At your stirring, three voices rise up, eager for the sacrifice, when you go to the summit.

With unclouded waves, they urge the dear tawny one, the honey-flowing, purified Soma, with stones.

With this filter, pour around, O Soma, who brings delight; descend, newly arrived.
At once, in this way, for Divodāsa, you shattered Śambara; then Turvaśa and Yadu.

Bring us great wealth, O purifying one; defeat the foes; grant, O Soma, heroic fame.

Neither a hundred nor stolen riches diminish you when you purify yourself for giving.

The sun yoked Etaśa; the purifying one, mindful, for travel through the midspace.

And those bay horses are yoked to the chariot; the sun is yoked for travel; they call Soma 'Indra.'
Make Agni, the god, with the fires, united, the most fit for sacrifice, the messenger at the ritual; who among mortals is steadfast, mighty, exalted, radiant, pure, and butter-fed.
Like a horse snorting in the pasture, he shines forth, born of greatness, separated from Saṃvaraṇa; the wind follows his flame, and your black path is established.

The skillful juice, supporter of heaven, is purified; the wise, praised by gods and men, the tawny one, is released like a steed with strength, making the streams flow without hindrance.
Like a hero taking up weapons in his hands, self-luminous, eager for battle, he stirs Indra’s might with his companions; the Soma, pressed and guided by the wise, is set in motion.
O purified Soma, swelling with Indra’s power in the waves, enter the abodes; pour forth for us, like lightning from a cloud, and by wisdom bring us enduring strength.
O Indra, when you are invoked by men from the east, west, or north, you are always the helper of many, and you are the protector of Turvaśa.
