Tvaṣṭṛ makes a husband for his daughter; thus all this world comes together. The mother of Yama, being embraced, vanished as the great wife of Vivasvat.
The immortals removed her from mortals, making another of like form and gave her to Vivasvat. Then the Aśvins carried away what was left; Saraṇyū abandoned the two twins.

May Pūṣan, the knower, drive away this one here, the guardian of beings who never loses cattle. He gives you over to these Fathers, and Agni to the gods who bestow good gifts.

May Pūṣan know all these regions and lead us by the safest way. May the radiant, all-powerful giver of well-being, never failing, come before us, knowing the way.
Pūṣan was born on the path, on the path of heaven, on the path of earth. In both the most beloved abodes he moves, going to and fro, knowing all beings.
The worshippers call upon Sarasvatī, Sarasvatī at the sacrifice being performed, the righteous call upon Sarasvatī; may Sarasvatī grant wealth to the worshipper.
O Sarasvatī, who comes with chariots, rejoicing with the Fathers by your own powers, sit on this sacred grass and delight yourself; as with a mother, place nourishment here for us.
The Fathers call upon Sarasvatī, who attends the sacrifice, seeking the right offering. Here, grant a thousandfold share of wealth and abundance to the sacrificers.
Let the waters, our mothers, cleanse him; let those rich in ghee purify us with ghee. For the divine waters carry away all defilement; I come to you, pure and purified.
The drop has flowed forth, following the first days, to this womb and to that which was before. I offer the drop moving in the same womb, together with the seven priests.
Whatever drop of yours flows, whatever ray falls from the arm to the altar, or from the priest or from the filter, that I offer to you with mind and the vaṣaṭ-call.
Whatever drop of yours has flowed, whatever ray, and whatever else is poured with the ladle, may this god Bṛhaspati pour it together for prosperity.
Milky plants, milky is my speech. The milk of the waters is indeed milk; with that, cleanse me together.
Go far away, O Death, along your own path, which is separate from the path of the gods. I speak to you who have sight and hearing: do not harm our offspring or our men.
Those who approach the realm of death, going there, may they establish a longer life-span. Increasing in offspring and wealth, purified and cleansed, may you become worthy of sacrifice.
These living ones have turned away from the dead; may our invocation to the gods today be auspicious. Let us go forward to dance and rejoice, establishing a longer life-span.
I set this boundary for the living; let not any of them cross over to this place. May they live a hundred autumns, may they flourish, and may they keep death at a mountain's distance.
As the days follow one another in order, as the seasons proceed with their appointed times, so may the later not abandon the earlier; O Creator, arrange their lifespans accordingly.
Rise up, choosing vigor and old age; strive onward in due order and stand firm. Here, may Tvaṣṭṛ, together with good birth, grant you long life for your living.
Let these women, not widowed, good wives, enter with unguent and clarified butter. Without tears, free from sickness, rich in offspring, let them ascend first to the womb of creation.
Rise, woman, to the world of the living; come to this place where life remains. You have become the wife of the one who grasped your hand; you have now joined with your husband in motherhood.
Taking the bow from the hand of the dead, for our own strength, power, and might, here may you remain, and we too, with good sons, may we conquer all hostile challenges.

Draw near to your mother, this earth, broad and gracious, the well-yielding, kindly earth. Like a gentle, youthful woman, may she protect you and keep you from the approach of destruction.
