Indu, purified, increasing progeny, grant us all riches.
Flow, Soma, for resolve, for skill, like a harnessed horse, swift for wealth.
The pressers purify that juice for intoxication, Soma, for great glory.
They cleanse the newborn, tawny child in the strainer, Soma, Indu, for the gods.
Indu, beautiful, flows for delight, in the lap of waters, wise, for Bhaga.
He bears the beautiful name of Indra, by which he slew all the adversaries.
All the gods drink of him, pressed by men, mixed with milk.
Pressed, thousand-streamed, he swiftly passes through the strainer, unhindered.
He, the swift one, the thousandfold seed-bearer, being cleansed with waters, is adorned with cows.
O Soma, proceed to Indra’s belly, pressed by men with stones, having been prepared.
The swift one, Soma, with a thousand streams, has flowed through the filter for Indra.
They anoint him with the essence of sweetness, the drop for Indra the bull, for exhilaration.
For the gods, for glory, they cleanse you, the tawny one, clothed in waters.
The drop delights Indra, and delights him again, adorned, powerful, driving away the waters.
Now flow forth, O stream, for the gaining of strength; break through the obstacles with might; like a debtor, pass beyond your foes.
For we rejoice in you, Soma, when pressed, in the great sovereignty of battle; O flowing one, you advance towards the prizes.
Indeed, O purified one, you have generated the sun, by your power you have produced the milk; hastening with the cows, with abundance, O bountiful one.
You have generated immortality among mortals, upholding the law of truth and the beautiful immortal; always flowing, you bring strength to the seeker.
With your fame you have pierced through, like a never-failing fountain for the people; bearing arrows, you move with your arms.
Some, beholding that ancient wealth, the shining ones, have followed after the heavenly riches; as the god Savitar spreads out the covering.
For you, Soma, the first ones with well-laid grass have set their thought for great strength and fame; so you, hero, inspire us to heroism.
The ancient, praiseworthy essence of heaven, the nourishing one, has flowed down from the great sky; they sang together at Indra’s birth.
When, O purified one, these two worlds and all beings are encompassed by your might, like a bull you stand firm among the hosts.
Soma, purified in the unfailing vessel, as a playful child, the flowing one, the dice; the drop with a thousand streams and a hundred prizes.
This purified, honey-sweet drop, the wave, flows for Indra according to the truth, pleasant, knowing the paths to strength and wide space.
So purify yourself, overcoming the hostile, dispelling the demons, removing the strongholds; Soma, with your own weapon, conquer the enemies.
With this shining radiance, purified by the tawny ones, he overcomes all hostilities with his own powers, like the sun with its own rays. The stream of the pressed Soma shines, purified, the ruddy, tawny one. He circles through all forms with his hymns, with the seven-mouthed hymns.
You, knowing the wealth of the merchants, cleanse it together with the mothers in your own abode, with the thoughts of truth, in the abode. Like the song from afar, where thoughts contend, you establish your radiance with the three-colored ruddy ones, shining, you establish your radiance.
He goes toward the former region, discerning, striving with his rays; the visible divine chariot, the visible chariot. The hymns have come, exalting Indra for victory. And when you become the thunderbolt, unfailing in battles, unfailing.
Our thoughts are diverse, the vows of the peoples are diverse. The carpenter shapes the chariot, the healer heals, the priest desires to press Soma for Indra. O Soma, flow for Indra.
