Three voices the fire sends forth, the inspiration of truth, the wisdom of the priest. The cows go to their lord, inquiring; the thoughts go to Soma, eager for him.
The cows, the milch cows, eager, go to Soma; the sages, with their thoughts, inquire of Soma. Soma, pressed and purified, is being clarified; in Soma, the hymns, the Trishtubh verses, are renewed.
Thus, Soma, being poured out for us, flow purified, bringing well-being. Strengthen Indra with your great sound, generate speech, create abundance.
The awakened Soma, purified, sits among the assemblies, inspired by the thoughts of the wise. The priests, skillful and dexterous, press him, the twin stones crush him eagerly.
Purified, Soma approaches the sun's abode, both worlds, heaven and earth, he fills. Even those dear to him, with loving help, he gives wealth to the worker, as one who grants.
He, Soma, the increaser, the nourisher, purified, blesses us with light. By him, our ancient fathers, knowing the path and the light, approached the stones and broke through.
The unconquered one of the sea, in the beginning, established order, generating offspring, the king of the world; the mighty bull, Soma, has grown great on the pure slope, the pressed drop swelling in the filter.
That great Soma, the buffalo, did a mighty deed when, as the embryo of the waters, he chose the gods; O purified one, he placed strength in Indra and the drop generated light in the Sun.
Delight, O Vāyu, in what is desired and in wealth; delight, O Mitra and Varuṇa, as you are purified; delight, O host of Maruts, delight, O gods; delight, O heaven and earth, O divine Soma.
Flow straight, destroying crookedness, repelling hostility and disease; pouring forth milk, with abundance of milk for the cows, you are Indra's, and we are your friends.
Flow as the sweet drink, as the fountain of wealth, as the hero, and as Bhaga for us; gladden Indra, O purified Soma, and flow to us with riches from the ocean.
Soma, pressed, flows like a racing horse, not leaving its course, like a steed to the lowlands, swift as a horse; purified, the drop has settled in its proper place, Soma has flowed with cows and with companions.
This Soma, O Indra, is being purified for you, wise, strong, and eager, with shining vision, charioteer, of true might, like a desire sent forth by those who worship the gods.
This one, purified with ancient vigor, covering the forms of the daughter, clothed in triple shelter, goes in the waters like a priest, resounding in the gatherings.
Now, you, charioteer, divine Soma, flow around us, purified in the vessels; sweetest in the waters, honeyed, true to the law, like the god Savitar of true thought.
Flowing forth, praised, you approach Vāyu, you, purified, approach Mitra and Varuṇa; you approach the wise, the chariot-loving, you approach Indra, the mighty, with the thunderbolt in his arm.
You approach the garments, well-clad, you approach the cows, well-yielding, purified; you approach the shining, golden ones for our lordship, you approach the horses, the chariot-bearers, O divine Soma.
You approach for us the divine riches, you, purified, approach all earthly things; by you may we attain wealth, may we, like Jamadagni, approach it.
By this path, flow, Soma, to these riches; do not, O drop, run dry in the lake; even the white one here, driven by the wind, would give a man, O wise one, to the generous.
And by this path, flow, Soma, to the renowned place of fame; like shaking a ripe tree for battle, may you shake out sixty thousand treasures, O purifier.
Great is the name of this mighty one in drought; do not, O drop, be cut off in the lake or in the cleft; he put the hidden ones to sleep, he made the hostile ones friendly, he drove away the senseless.
You, purified, pass through the three extended filters, you run as one; you are Bhaga, you are the giver of gifts, you are Maghavan for the generous, O Soma.
This wise Soma, knower of all, is purified, the king of all the world; the drops, stirring in the assemblies, go together, reaching the unfailing shelter.
The mighty, unerring ones press the drop, they roar at the step like poets, not like vultures; the wise urge it with ten fingers, they adorn its form with the essence of the waters.
With you, O Soma, purified one, may we always discern what is accomplished in the offering; may Mitra, Varuṇa, Aditi, Sindhu, Earth, and Heaven not harm us.
O Indu, attain for us the most prize-bringing wealth, abundant in many forms, of a thousand supports, of great splendor, overcoming all.
Flowing forth, pressed, you are unaging, like armor stretched on a chariot; Indu, set in the vessel, descending, you protect with your streams.
Flowing forth, pressed, Indu, unaging, overflowing with exhilaration; the stream that rises up in the ritual shines forth, seeking the cows.
For you, O god, always grant wealth to the mortal who serves; O Indu, you bestow a thousandfold treasure, with a hundred forms.
We, O slayer of Vṛtra, wish to be nearest to your manifold, much-desired wealth, O mighty one, in the closest abundance of your favor.
