अभि गव्यानि वीतये नृम्णा पुनानो अर्षसि । सनद्वाजः परि स्रव
For winning cattle, you, purified, rush with manly strength; flow around, bearing the prize.
उत नो गोमतीरिषो विश्वा अर्ष परिष्टुभः । गृणानो जमदग्निना
And for us, flow all the wealth-bringing streams, all, in measured song, praised by Jamadagni.
पवस्व वाचो अग्रियः सोम चित्राभिरूतिभिः । अभि विश्वानि काव्या
Flow, Soma, foremost in speech, with splendid aids; encompass all inspirations.
त्वं समुद्रिया अपोऽग्रियो वाच ईरयन् । पवस्व विश्वमेजय
You, foremost, set the waters of the ocean in motion with speech; flow, stirring all.
तुभ्येमा भुवना कवे महिम्ने सोम तस्थिरे । तुभ्यमर्षन्ति सिन्धवः
For you, O sage, these worlds, Soma, have stood firm in your greatness; for you the rivers flow.
प्र ते दिवो न वृष्टयो धारा यन्त्यसश्चतः । अभि शुक्रामुपस्तिरम्
For you, as rain from the sky, the streams come forth unceasingly, spreading bright abundance.
इन्द्रायेन्दुं पुनीतनोग्रं दक्षाय साधनम् । ईशानं वीतिराधसम्
Purify the drop for Indra, strong, fit for skill, the lord, the bestower of riches.
पवमान ऋतः कविः सोमः पवित्रमासदत् । दधत्स्तोत्रे सुवीर्यम्
Purifying, the sage, the true Soma, has reached the filter, granting heroic strength to the hymn.
आ पवस्व सहस्रिणं रयिं सोम सुवीर्यम् । अस्मे श्रवांसि धारय
Flow forth, Soma, a thousandfold wealth, heroic strength; bestow fame upon us.
इषमूर्जं च पिन्वस इन्द्राय मत्सरिन्तमः । चमूष्वा नि षीदसि
You swell with nourishment and strength, most exhilarating for Indra; you settle down in the vessels.
सुत इन्द्राय विष्णवे सोमः कलशे अक्षरत् । मधुमाँ अस्तु वायवे
The pressed Soma flows for Indra and Vishnu into the jar; let it be sweet for Vayu.
एते असृग्रमाशवोऽति ह्वरांसि बभ्रवः । सोमा ऋतस्य धारया
These tawny ones, eager, have flowed forth, surpassing obstacles, Somas by the law's stream.
इन्द्रं वर्धन्तो अप्तुरः कृण्वन्तो विश्वमार्यम् । अपघ्नन्तो अराव्णः
Promoting Indra, the waters, making all the world noble, driving away the hostile.
सुता अनु स्वमा रजोऽभ्यर्षन्ति बभ्रवः । इन्द्रं गच्छन्त इन्दवः
The pressed, tawny ones run along their own path; the drops go to Indra.
अया पवस्व धारया यया सूर्यमरोचयः । हिन्वानो मानुषीरपः
Flow with that stream by which you made the sun shine, driving away the human waters.
अयुक्त सूर एतशं पवमानो मनावधि । अन्तरिक्षेण यातवे
The purifier has yoked the swift steed, the sun, with thought, to travel through the midspace.
उत त्या हरितो दश सूरो अयुक्त यातवे । इन्दुरिन्द्र इति ब्रुवन्
And those ten bright ones, the sun, he has yoked to travel; they say, 'the drop is for Indra.'
परीतो वायवे सुतं गिर इन्द्राय मत्सरम् । अव्यो वारेषु सिञ्चत
Pour out the pressed, exhilarating one for Vayu, the song for Indra; sprinkle it in the fleecy filters.
पवमान विदा रयिमस्मभ्यं सोम दुष्टरम् । यो दूणाशो वनुष्यता
Purifier, grant us wealth, Soma, hard to overcome, which is sought by the needy.
अभ्यर्ष सहस्रिणं रयिं गोमन्तमश्विनम् । अभि वाजमुत श्रवः
Flow towards us with a thousandfold, horse-rich, cattle-rich treasure; bring strength and fame.
सोमो देवो न सूर्योऽद्रिभिः पवते सुतः । दधानः कलशे रसम्
Soma, god, like the sun, pressed by stones, is purified, placing his juice in the vessel.
एते धामान्यार्या शुक्रा ऋतस्य धारया । वाजं गोमन्तमक्षरन्
These bright, noble powers, by the stream of law, have flowed forth, unceasing, with cattle-rich strength.
सुता इन्द्राय वज्रिणे सोमासो दध्याशिरः । पवित्रमत्यक्षरन्
The pressed Somas for Indra the wielder of the bolt, with curdled head, have flowed through the filter.
प्र सोम मधुमत्तमो राये अर्ष पवित्र आ । मदो यो देववीतमः
O Soma, most sweet, flow through the filter for wealth, the exhilaration most pleasing to the gods.
तमी मृजन्त्यायवो हरिं नदीषु वाजिनम् । इन्दुमिन्द्राय मत्सरम्
The tawny ones cleanse him, the bay, the swift in the waters, the drop exhilarating for Indra.
आ पवस्व हिरण्यवदश्वावत्सोम वीरवत् । वाजं गोमन्तमा भर
Flow forth, Soma, golden, with horses, with cattle, with heroes; bring cattle-rich strength.
परि वाजे न वाजयुमव्यो वारेषु सिञ्चत । इन्द्राय मधुमत्तमम्
Pour out the most exhilarating for Indra, like a prize-winner among prizes, in the fleecy filters.
कविं मृजन्ति मर्ज्यं धीभिर्विप्रा अवस्यवः । वृषा कनिक्रदर्षति
The sages cleanse the poet, the one to be purified, with their thoughts, seeking help; the mighty one bellows and appears.
वृषणं धीभिरप्तुरं सोममृतस्य धारया । मती विप्राः समस्वरन्
With their thoughts, the wise proclaim the potent, abundant Soma, by the stream of immortality.
पवस्व देवायुषगिन्द्रं गच्छतु ते मदः । वायुमा रोह धर्मणा
Flow, Soma, with divine life; let your exhilaration reach Indra; ascend to Vayu by your law.
