We have heard of your most renowned deeds, O slayer of Vṛtra; send forth your troop for the great reward.
With this insight and with the wealth of cattle, O much-praised one, you have become Soma among Somas.
Let the slayer of Vṛtra, attentive in mind, be here for us; let Śakra hear our prayer for abundant life.
With what help, O vigorous one, do you delight us? With what do you bring gifts to your singers?
With whose bull, accompanied by his retinue, does the mighty one roar at the pressing, the slayer of Vṛtra, for the drinking of Soma?
May you, delighting in the Soma, bring us wealth in thousands; be the leader for the worshipper.
These pressed libations, accompanied by wives, shining, go forth for the feast; they have gone to the waters, pressing downward.
The desired offerings have flowed forth, the mighty ones at the sacrifice, toward Indra, toward the Avabhṛtha with strength.
Here are those two yoked together for the shared feast, the tawny steeds with golden manes, bearing the offering with speed.
For you these Somas are pressed, the strewn grass is bright, O radiant one; bring Indra here for the singers.
To you the heavens have given skill, treasures for the worshipper; praise Indra for the singers.
To you, O hundred-powered, I dedicate all strength and hymns; be gracious to the singers, Indra.
May you bring us good fortune, abundant strength, O hundred-powered, when you show us favor, Indra.
Bring us all blessings, O hundred-powered, when you show us favor, Indra.
We call upon you, the mightiest slayer of Vṛtra, with pressed libations, when you show us favor, Indra.
Come to us with your bays for the pressed Soma, lord of delights; come to us with your bays for the pressed Soma.
He who is the mightiest slayer of Vṛtra, the wise Indra, the hundred-powered—come to us with your bays for the pressed Soma.
For you, O slayer of Vṛtra, are the drinker of these Somas; come to us with your bays for the pressed Soma.
May Indra give us wealth for sustenance, the wealth of the skillful, the Ribhus; may the vigorous one give vigor.
The cow, famed among the Maruts, is the mother of the generous; yoked is the fire of the chariots.
In whose lap the gods, all the laws, are upheld; the sun and the moon are seen.
May all the noble ones, always, sing that for us, O Maruts, for the drinking of Soma.
Here is Soma, pressed and ready; the Maruts drink of it, and so do the Ashvins, sovereigns of light.
Mitra, Aryaman, and Varuna drink of the purified Soma, swiftly from the triple seat.
And Indra, too, delights in the taste of this pressed, cattle-rich Soma, like a priest at the morning offering.
When, shining ones, will you come forth, rushing like waters that break through barriers, you of pure skill?
Today I choose the favor of the great gods, and the strength of those of wondrous brilliance, by my own spirit.
You Maruts, who have spread across all the earthly realms and the shining spaces of the sky, come to drink Soma.
You Maruts of pure skill, I call you down from heaven to drink of this Soma.
Those Maruts who have upheld both heaven and earth, I call you to drink of this Soma.
