You have rushed forth with power from the edges of heaven. No earthly realm, O Indra, has hindered you; you have embraced your own nature.
No boundary, O generous one, limits your bounty; when you favor the worshipper, you delight. Be our awakener, O Indra, for the highest gain of strength.

Offer praise to mighty Indra, O Maruts, with hymns; the slayer of Vṛtra, endowed with a hundred powers, strikes down Vṛtra with his hundred-jointed thunderbolt.
Bring forth your bold, resolute mind, let great fame dwell in your heart; the swift waters rush for you, O Indra, as mothers—strike down Vṛtra, win the heavens.
When you were born, O generous one, for the slaying of Vṛtra, you made the earth vast and supported the sky as well.
Then your sacrifice was born, then the hymn and the ritual act; you surpass all that exists, whatever has come into being and whatever is yet to be.
Bring forth the cooked offering among them, raise the sun in the sky; like heat at the border of the song, may the great, well-praised gift be pleasing to the song-loving god.

O Indra, lover of song, these hymns are composed for you, wondrous and not to be surpassed; accept these, O Indra, with tawny steeds, which we have prepared for you.
Truly, O generous one, you are steadfast and do not turn away, you have destroyed many Vṛtras; therefore, O most mighty, with the thunderbolt in hand, grant wealth to the worshipper nearby.
You, Indra, are renowned as the lord of might, swift in action; you alone, upholder of peoples, strike down all Vṛtras without resistance.

The maiden, skilled in her task, has found the Soma, well-filtered; as she brings it to the setting place, she says: 'I will press you for Indra, I will press you for Śakra.'
This young hero who comes, shining from house to house—drink this Soma pressed with barley, mixed with curds, with cakes, and with hymns.
We will tend you, and we will cherish you; flow for Indra, O Soma, gently and slowly, as if step by step.
Who knows, who acts, who brings us wealth? May we, with Indra, overcome those who hate us.
These three realms, O Indra, cause them to grow; let the head of that one be below, and this here be in my womb.
And that field which does not accept this body of mine, and also whatever head belongs to that one—make all of them hairy.

May you all sing forth to Indra for the protection of our soma; I, indeed, praise the all-powerful, most mighty among peoples.
Call him much-invoked, much-praised, the one of ancient fame in songs; say, 'Indra.'
Indra is for us the great giver of prizes, the leader of heroes; by his great might he has subdued the foe.
From the pressed soma of the wise, skillful, and generous one, Indra, Indra with the barley beard, drank.
Invoke that Indra for the drinking of soma; that indeed is his nourishment.
Having drunk of this exhilarating soma, the god by the god's strength became lord over all the worlds.
Invoke for yourselves that Indra, the subduer of hosts, with all your songs, for the purpose of stirring up help.
The mighty one, unconquered, drinker of soma, unshaken, the man of unfailing resolve.
