Come now, Indra, grasp our brilliant, abundant prize with your mighty right hand.
For we know you as powerful in action, mighty in aid, and vast in generosity, O Indra, with your great support.
Neither gods nor mortals can restrain you, O hero, when you desire to give, just as none can hold back a fierce bull.
Now let us praise Indra, lord of wealth, sovereign of light; let him not diminish our share of bounty.
Let the singer praise, let the poet approach with song; they have bound themselves to your favor.
Bring to us with your right hand, touch us with your left, O Indra; do not withhold your wealth from us.
Step forward, bring your boldness, O mighty one among men; you know the desire of the one who praises you.
Indra, whatever strength you have in winning prizes with the wise, grant that to us together with you.
May your youthful powers, O giver of strength, swiftly come to us, shining in every way; let riches be quickly gathered by our means.
Run forth, O slayer of Vṛtra, from afar and from near, to the offering of the sweet drink.
Come hither to the strong, pressed, exhilarating Somas; drink, as your desire is set.
Rejoice in the offering, for your pleasure and for the favor of the worshipper; may you, O Indra, bring happiness to our hearts.
Come, O unconquered one, you are invoked with hymns; approach the shining expanse of heaven.
This Soma, pressed with stones and adorned with cows for delight, is offered to you, O Indra.
Indra, hear my good invocation; for us drink the pressed Soma rich in cows, and attain full satisfaction.
That Soma, O Indra, which is pressed for you in the cups and in the mixing bowls—drink of it, for you are the master of it.
That Soma which appears in the mixing bowls like the moon in the waters—drink of it, for you are the master of it.
That Soma which the eagle brought to you, crossing untouched spaces—drink of it, for you are the master of it.
We choose the great help of the gods for ourselves, that the mighty ones may aid us.
May Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman, and the wise and strong ones always be our allies.
Carry us safely across many dangers as with boats over the waters, you who are the charioteers of truth.
Grant us favor, Aryaman, and favor, Varuṇa, worthy of praise; for favor we choose from you.
For you, O wise and righteous Ādityas, are the lords of favor; not of us is the guilt that comes.
We, your generous ones, dwelling and traveling on the path, call upon you, O gods, for strength.
Upon us, O Indra, Viṣṇu, and you, the kindred ones, let your kinship rest; and you, Maruts and Aśvins.
Let us bear brotherhood, O generous ones, and mutual support; we carry it as in the womb of the mother.
For you are indeed generous, foremost in Indra's favor, ever advancing; therefore, I also declare this.
I praise you as the most beloved guest, dear as a friend, Agni, like a chariot to be known at the altar.
Like a wise poet, conscious, whom the gods, in their wisdom, have established among mortals.
You, youngest one, protect your worshippers, listen to our songs; guard both offspring and self.
