सिञ्चन्ति नमसावतमुच्चाचक्रं परिज्मानम् । नीचीनबारमक्षितम्
They pour with reverence the abundant, ever-turning, ever-flowing, undiminished stream.
अभ्यारमिदद्रयो निषिक्तं पुष्करे मधु । अवतस्य विसर्जने
The mountains approached, honey poured in the lotus; at the release of the flowing.
गाव उपावतावतं मही यज्ञस्य रप्सुदा । उभा कर्णा हिरण्यया
The cows approached the flowing, great, giving riches to the sacrifice; both ears golden.
आ सुते सिञ्चत श्रियं रोदस्योरभिश्रियम् । रसा दधीत वृषभम्
At the pressing, pour forth the glory, the splendor of earth and heaven; let the juice bear the bull.
ते जानत स्वमोक्यं सं वत्सासो न मातृभिः । मिथो नसन्त जामिभिः
They know their own origin, together like calves with mothers; they are united with kin.
उप स्रक्वेषु बप्सतः कृण्वते धरुणं दिवि । इन्द्रे अग्ना नमः स्वः
Upon the garlands, shining, they make a support in heaven; to Indra, Agni, homage and praise.
अधुक्षत्पिप्युषीमिषमूर्जं सप्तपदीमरिः । सूर्यस्य सप्त रश्मिभिः
He milked nourishing food, strength, the seven-stepped one, the sun’s seven rays.
सोमस्य मित्रावरुणोदिता सूर आ ददे । तदातुरस्य भेषजम्
Mitra and Varuna, with Soma, have given the sun; that is the remedy for the afflicted.
उतो न्वस्य यत्पदं हर्यतस्य निधान्यम् । परि द्यां जिह्वयातनत्
And indeed, the place of the swift one, the store, he stretched his tongue around the sky.
उदीराथामृतायते युञ्जाथामश्विना रथम् । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
Rise up for immortality, harness the chariot, Ashvins; let your favor be near at hand.
निमिषश्चिज्जवीयसा रथेना यातमश्विना । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
O Ashvins, come with your chariot, swifter even than a blink; let your favor be near to us.
उप स्तृणीतमत्रये हिमेन घर्ममश्विना । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
O Ashvins, spread warmth for the worshipper with frost; let your favor be near to us.
कुह स्थः कुह जग्मथुः कुह श्येनेव पेतथुः । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
Where are you, where have you gone, where have you flown like a falcon? Let your favor be near to us.
यदद्य कर्हि कर्हि चिच्छुश्रूयातमिमं हवम् । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
Whenever, today or at any time, you might hear this call of mine, let your favor be near to us.
अश्विना यामहूतमा नेदिष्ठं याम्याप्यम् । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
O Ashvins, come when called, come to the nearest invocation; let your favor be near to us.
अवन्तमत्रये गृहं कृणुतं युवमश्विना । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
O Ashvins, make this house a place of protection for the worshipper; let your favor be near to us.
वरेथे अग्निमातपो वदते वल्ग्वत्रये । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
The fire, the heat, is chosen as the best for the worshipper; let your favor be near to us.
प्र सप्तवध्रिराशसा धारामग्नेरशायत । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
The seven-planked one, with longing, has sent forth streams of fire; let your favor be near to us.
इहा गतं वृषण्वसू शृणुतं म इमं हवम् । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
Come here, O mighty givers, listen to this call of mine; let your favor be near to us.
किमिदं वां पुराणवज्जरतोरिव शस्यते । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
What is this of yours, ancient and praised, as if it were the work of the two strong ones? Let your favor be near to us.
समानं वां सजात्यं समानो बन्धुरश्विना । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
Your kinship is the same, your bond is the same, O Ashvins; let your favor be near to us.
यो वां रजांस्यश्विना रथो वियाति रोदसी । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
The chariot of yours, O Ashvins, that traverses the realms and the two worlds; let your favor be near to us.
आ नो गव्येभिरश्व्यैः सहस्रैरुप गच्छतम् । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
Come to us with thousands of cows and horses; let your favor be near to us.
मा नो गव्येभिरश्व्यैः सहस्रेभिरति ख्यतम् । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
Do not pass us by with thousands of cows and horses; let your favor be near to us.
अरुणप्सुरुषा अभूदकर्ज्योतिरृतावरी । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
The reddish, swift one has become water, the light that upholds the truth; let your favor be near to us.
अश्विना सु विचाकशद्वृक्षं परशुमाँ इव । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
O Ashvins, the tree was well split, like with an axe; let your favor be near to us.
पुरं न धृष्णवा रुज कृष्णया बाधितो विशा । अन्ति षद्भूतु वामवः
Like a fortress, bravely break apart the black, oppressive host; let your favor be near to us.
विशोविशो वो अतिथिं वाजयन्तः पुरुप्रियम् । अग्निं वो दुर्यं वच स्तुषे शूषस्य मन्मभिः
From house to house, exalting your guest, the much-loved one, I praise Agni, your refuge, with words of longing.
यं जनासो हविष्मन्तो मित्रं न सर्पिरासुतिम् । प्रशंसन्ति प्रशस्तिभिः
Whom the people, bearing offerings, praise with hymns as they praise Mitra with clarified butter and devotion.
पन्यांसं जातवेदसं यो देवतात्युद्यता । हव्यान्यैरयद्दिवि
He, the all-knowing, whom the gods, eager and exalted, have sent forth to carry offerings to heaven.
