O Indra, bring us abundant, victorious, ever-strengthening wealth for our aid.
By which, with the blow of the fist, you have struck down the Vṛtras; by your help, the obstacles are laid low.
O Indra, with your help may we take up the thunderbolt and shatter our foes; may we conquer all rivals in battle.
With brave companions and strong allies, O Indra, joined with you, may we overcome those who attack us.
Great is Indra, and let his greatness ever increase; for the wielder of the thunderbolt, his might is as vast as the sky.
Whether men seek the gathering of offspring or the wise pursue insight, let them rely on you.
He whose belly, eager for Soma, swells like the sea, whose form is broad like the waters' crest.
Thus his gracious bounty is vast, shining, and rich in cattle, like a ripened branch for the worshipper.
So, O Indra, your powers and aids are ever present for the worshipper, even instantly for the one who serves.
Thus his praise and hymn are desirable, to be recited for Indra at the Soma-drinking.
Come, Indra, delighting in the exhilarating Soma, with all the Soma offerings, with your great, overflowing strength.
Pour out for him at the pressing of the Soma, for Indra who delights in it; he has made all things for the doer.
Rejoice, O fair-jawed one, with the songs, O Indra, lord of all peoples; join these sacrifices with us.
We have poured forth our songs to you, Indra; they have called upon you, the bull, the lord, with devotion.
Urge on the splendid, swift, and excellent one, O Indra, the most worthy; may you be for us the all-pervading, the powerful.
There, urge us on, O Indra, to wealth, to eager strength, to great fame and glory.
Grant us, O Indra, cattle, horses, wide and great renown; bestow undiminished life for all.
Bestow on us great fame, abundant strength, and wealth of a thousand, O Indra, along with those chariot-borne riches.
With hymns we praise Indra, the lord of wealth, the master of treasures, the ancient one, the bringer of help at the offering.
At every pressing, in every home, the mighty one is praised with great and greater hymns; sing forth your strength to Indra.
The singers of the Gāyatrī chant you; those who praise the sun exalt the Sun; the priests, O hundred-powered one, have yoked you as one would a lofty banner.
When, from summit to summit, you ascended, accomplishing many clear deeds, then Indra considers the purpose; the mighty one stirs with his troop.
Yoke your two tawny, strong-haired steeds, fit for the yoke; then, O Indra, drinker of Soma, come near to the hearing of our songs.
Come to these praises, resound with your voice, be gracious; and, O generous one, join with our prayer, Indra, and make our sacrifice grow.
Let the laudation for Indra be spoken, the praise that increases him, in the many-guarded place; as the mighty one has delighted in our pressed offerings and in our friendships.
We seek his friendship, we seek him for wealth, we seek him for heroic strength; may that mighty Indra, generous, grant us riches.
O Indra, famed for gifts, whose path is wide and clear, grant us the wealth of cattle; open the enclosure, make us prosper, O stone-splitter.
Neither of the two worlds, earth and sky, can restrain you as you strive; you will conquer the shining waters—drive the cows together for us.
O you whose ears are open to praise, hear our call; now accept my words, Indra—make this hymn of mine effective, even if there is a gap between us.
For we know you, most vigorous, famed for hearing invocations in contests; we call upon the most vigorous for aid, the one who grants a thousandfold.
