एन्द्र याहि पीतये मधु शविष्ठ सोम्यम् । नायमच्छा मघवा शृणवद्गिरो ब्रह्मोक्था च सुक्रतुः
O Indra, come to drink the sweet Soma, most powerful one. Let not this generous one turn away from hearing our songs and sacred hymns, O wise one.
वहन्तु त्वा रथेष्ठामा हरयो रथयुजः । तिरश्चिदर्यं सवनानि वृत्रहन्नन्येषां या शतक्रतो
Let your bay steeds, yoked to the chariot, carry you, chariot-borne. Even across the enemy’s gatherings, O slayer of Vṛtra, let them bring you, O hundred-powered.
अस्माकमद्यान्तमं स्तोमं धिष्व महामह । अस्माकं ते सवना सन्तु शंतमा मदाय द्युक्ष सोमपाः
Today, accept our most exalted praise, O mighty one. May our offerings be most pleasing to you at the pressing, O divine Soma-drinker.
नहि षस्तव नो मम शास्त्रे अन्यस्य रण्यति । यो अस्मान्वीर आनयत्
No one else’s praise, nor my own, excels in the rite—he who has brought us, the heroes.
इन्द्रश्चिद्घा तदब्रवीत्स्त्रिया अशास्यं मनः । उतो अह क्रतुं रघुम्
Even Indra has said this: a woman’s mind is not to be trusted. Indeed, I have found her intent to be fickle.
सप्ती चिद्घा मदच्युता मिथुना वहतो रथम् । एवेद्धूर्वृष्ण उत्तरा
Even the two yoked steeds, intoxicated, pull the chariot together as a pair—these alone are the uppermost, O mighty one.
अधः पश्यस्व मोपरि संतरां पादकौ हर । मा ते कशप्लकौ दृशन्स्त्री हि ब्रह्मा बभूविथ
Look below, not above; cross over, lift your feet. Let not the two little pools be seen by you—for you have become a woman, O priest.

O Indra, come with your bays to the praise of Kaṇva. By the command of that one in heaven, come to the heavenly dwelling, O day-bringer.
आ त्वा ग्रावा वदन्निह सोमी घोषेण यच्छतु । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Let the stone, speaking aloud, call you here for the Soma with its sound. By the command of that one in heaven, come to the heavenly dwelling, O day-bringer.
अत्रा वि नेमिरेषामुरां न धूनुते वृकः । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Here, their axle does not break, nor does the wolf scatter them. By the command of that one in heaven, come to the heavenly dwelling, O day-bringer.
आ त्वा कण्वा इहावसे हवन्ते वाजसातये । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Here, the Kaṇvas call you for help, for the gaining of strength. By the command of that one in heaven, come to the heavenly dwelling, O day-bringer.
दधामि ते सुतानां वृष्णे न पूर्वपाय्यम् । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
I set before you the pressed offerings, as a bull enjoys the first draught. By the command of that one in heaven, come to the heavenly dwelling, O day-bringer.
स्मत्पुरंधिर्न आ गहि विश्वतोधीर्न ऊतये । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Come to us, like a wise woman of the household, for protection from every side; from the command of that heaven, come, O divine one, to the heaven, O giver of light.
आ नो याहि महेमते सहस्रोते शतामघ । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Come to us, O mighty one, of great wealth, of a thousand, of a hundred gifts; from the command of that heaven, come, O divine one, to the heaven, O giver of light.
आ त्वा होता मनुर्हितो देवत्रा वक्षदीड्यः । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
The priest, chosen by Manu, will bring you here, O worthy of praise, among the gods; from the command of that heaven, come, O divine one, to the heaven, O giver of light.
आ त्वा मदच्युता हरी श्येनं पक्षेव वक्षतः । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Your exhilarated steeds, like the wings of a falcon, will carry you here; from the command of that heaven, come, O divine one, to the heaven, O giver of light.
आ याह्यर्य आ परि स्वाहा सोमस्य पीतये । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Come, O noble one, all around, for the drinking of Soma with the invocation 'svāhā'; from the command of that heaven, come, O divine one, to the heaven, O giver of light.
आ नो याह्युपश्रुत्युक्थेषु रणया इह । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Come to us, listening to our praise, with delight in these hymns, here in the contest; from the command of that heaven, come, O divine one, to the heaven, O giver of light.
सरूपैरा सु नो गहि सम्भृतैः सम्भृताश्वः । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Come to us with your teams, with your gathered, well-yoked horses; from the command of that heaven, come, O divine one, to the heaven, O giver of light.
आ याहि पर्वतेभ्यः समुद्रस्याधि विष्टपः । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Come from the mountains, from the heights above the ocean; from the command of that heaven, come, O divine one, to the heaven, O giver of light.
आ नो गव्यान्यश्व्या सहस्रा शूर दर्दृहि । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Bring to us, O hero, thousands of cows and horses; from the command of that heaven, come, O divine one, to the heaven, O giver of light.
आ नः सहस्रशो भरायुतानि शतानि च । दिवो अमुष्य शासतो दिवं यय दिवावसो
Bring us thousands, tens of thousands, and hundreds as well; from the command of that heaven, come, O divine one, to the heaven, O giver of light.
आ यदिन्द्रश्च दद्वहे सहस्रं वसुरोचिषः । ओजिष्ठमश्व्यं पशुम्
When, O Indra, you and I have given a thousand shining treasures, the most powerful wealth of horses and cattle—
य ऋज्रा वातरंहसोऽरुषासो रघुष्यदः । भ्राजन्ते सूर्या इव
Those who are swift as the wind, reddish, quick-moving, shine like the suns.
पारावतस्य रातिषु द्रवच्चक्रेष्वाशुषु । तिष्ठं वनस्य मध्य आ
In the gifts of Parāvata, among the swiftly running, wheeled ones, standing in the midst of the forest—
अग्निनेन्द्रेण वरुणेन विष्णुनादित्यै रुद्रैर्वसुभिः सचाभुवा । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च सोमं पिबतमश्विना
With Agni, Indra, Varuṇa, Viṣṇu, the Ādityas, Rudras, Vasus, united; together with Uṣas and Sūrya, drink the Soma, O Aśvins.
विश्वाभिर्धीभिर्भुवनेन वाजिना दिवा पृथिव्याद्रिभिः सचाभुवा । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च सोमं पिबतमश्विना
With all wise thoughts, with the world, with the swift, with heaven, earth, and mountains united; together with Uṣas and Sūrya, drink the Soma, O Aśvins.
विश्वैर्देवैस्त्रिभिरेकादशैरिहाद्भिर्मरुद्भिर्भृगुभिः सचाभुवा । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण च सोमं पिबतमश्विना
With all the gods, with the three and the eleven here, with the Maruts and Bhṛgus united; together with Uṣas and Sūrya, drink the Soma, O Aśvins.
जुषेथां यज्ञं बोधतं हवस्य मे विश्वेह देवौ सवनाव गच्छतम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चेषं नो वोळ्हमश्विना
May you accept the sacrifice, be aware of my invocation; may both gods come here to the pressing; together with Uṣas and Sūrya, bring us this favor, O Aśvins.
स्तोमं जुषेथां युवशेव कन्यनां विश्वेह देवौ सवनाव गच्छतम् । सजोषसा उषसा सूर्येण चेषं नो वोळ्हमश्विना
May you accept the hymn, the praise of the young maiden; may both gods come here to the pressing; together with Uṣas and Sūrya, bring us this favor, O Aśvins.
