To each god for help, to each god for favor, to each god for the gaining of strength, let us call, praising with divine thought.
For the gods, indeed, are united in purpose for Manu, all together, bestowers of gifts; may they today, and hereafter, be knowers of our paths.

Without you, he finds conflict; with good guides, he travels the path; Aryaman, Mitra, Varuṇa, the givers of gifts, together protect him whom they favor.

Whatever today, at the rising of the Sun, you, of dear rule, establish as order; whatever at setting, at awakening, all-knowing ones, or at midday in the sky.
Or whatever, O mighty ones, you establish as order at the approach of night, as a shelter for the worshipper; may we, O Vasus, all-knowing ones, stand close to you in the midst of it.
Whatever, today, at sunrise, or at midday, you bestow as favor upon Manu, all-knowing ones, to the one who offers, to the wise, that grant.
We choose that abundant gift of yours, O sovereigns, as a son chooses much sustenance; may we obtain that, O Ādityas, by offering the oblation, by which we may not lack wealth.

May those guardians, unfailing, protect us from above and below, in this way, from the front, with all their might.

As the gods desire, so let it be here; let no one diminish their portion, not even a mortal who is hostile.

There is no child among you, O gods, nor any boy; all are truly great.
Thus praised, you have sat down, destroyers of foes, you who are three and thirty, the worshipful gods of Manu.
You, protect us; you, save us; you, speak on our behalf. Do not lead us far away from the ancestral and human paths.
You gods who are here, all universal, and Vaiśvānara as well, grant us wide shelter for our cattle and horses.
