Whatever you bring from the ocean of heaven, or from the house of riches, O immortals, I have heard of it.
And among rivers, the Sindhu with golden course is the swiftest for you, O Ashvins, drawn by the white steed.
May you, O Ashvins, be mindful with your radiant wisdom, riding in your shining chariot, accompanied by noble fame.
Harness your chariot, O mighty one; accept the nourishment, O gracious lord; come to us, Vayu, drink the sweet soma, enter our offering.
O Vayu, lord of the ritual, wondrous kinsman of Tvashtar, we choose your favor.
We seek Vayu, the kinsman of Tvashtar, the lord of wealth; the people, possessing soma, desire his brilliance.
Vayu, come from the auspicious sky, bring us good horses; bring greatness on your broad-winged chariot.
We call you, most excellent among the swift, in the dwellings of men; the stone, not the horse's back, with praise.
So you, O god Vayu, delighting in our minds, foremost, grant us strength, waters, and wisdom.
Agni is invoked as the priest, the stones, the sacred grass at the ritual; with a hymn I approach the Maruts, Brahmanaspati, and the gods, seeking their noble protection.
You encompass cattle, earth, trees, dawn, night, and herbs; may all the Vasus, all-knowing, be the protectors of our thoughts.
Let our offering advance, O Agni, ancient among the gods; among the Adityas, among Varuna of firm vows, among the Maruts shining everywhere.
All-knowing, beneficent to mankind, increasing the world, the Vasus are fierce; with safe protection, all-knowing, may they grant us a shield free from harm.
May all the gods, united in purpose, come to us today; with hymn and song, may the Maruts, divine Aditi, in her great dwelling, be present.
O Maruts, may your beloved offerings, those accompanied by horses, come forth; may Indra, Varuṇa, the mighty ones, and the Ādityas sit upon our sacred grass.
We, with strewn sacred grass and devoted offerings, having pressed Soma, call upon you, Varuṇa, as men call upon Agni.
Come forth, O Maruts, Viṣṇu, Aśvins, Pūṣan, with unerring thought; let Indra, the foremost, the bull, the slayer of Vṛtra, come with those who bring gifts, whom I praise.
Grant us, O gods, a shelter that is unbroken and secure; for not even from afar, O Vasus, nor now from near, does any harm reach the one whom you protect.
For you, O righteous gods, there is kinship; for you, O gods, there is abiding help; now speak to us for earlier and present welfare, swiftly for new favor.
For now, indeed, I have praised you; for the enjoyment of your bounty; I, who bow to you, all-knowing ones, have approached as one seeking another.
The Sun, the glorious guide, has risen up, the exalted and worthy; the two-footed and four-footed seekers, restless and eager to fly, have lain down.
To each god for help, to each god for favor, to each god for the gaining of strength, let us call, praising with divine thought.
For the gods, indeed, are united in purpose for Manu, all together, bestowers of gifts; may they today, and hereafter, be knowers of our paths.
I proclaim you, O sinless ones, among those who are praised; no deceit, O Varuṇa, O Mitra, reaches that mortal who keeps your ordinances.
He crosses over to prosperity, to great abundance, who serves you for favor; he is born with offspring, according to law, unharmed, and grows in every way.
Without you, he finds conflict; with good guides, he travels the path; Aryaman, Mitra, Varuṇa, the givers of gifts, together protect him whom they favor.
Even on the plain, you make a descent for him; even in difficulty, an easy passage; even this thunderbolt, though it be near, let it, swelling, perish away from us.
Whatever today, at the rising of the Sun, you, of dear rule, establish as order; whatever at setting, at awakening, all-knowing ones, or at midday in the sky.
Or whatever, O mighty ones, you establish as order at the approach of night, as a shelter for the worshipper; may we, O Vasus, all-knowing ones, stand close to you in the midst of it.
Whatever, today, at sunrise, or at midday, you bestow as favor upon Manu, all-knowing ones, to the one who offers, to the wise, that grant.
