Neither the separated heavens and earth nor the spaces can contain the wielder of the bolt, in his impetuous might.

When, Indra, in the battle, the gods placed you in the forefront, then your two bay steeds carried you onward.

When you established the shining sun as light in the sky, then all the worlds submitted to you.
This excellent praise, O Indra, the inspired one raises for you with his thoughts, like a kinsman seeking favor at the sacrifice.
When, in his beloved abode, they sang in harmony for him, at the navel of the sacrifice, the milkers at the rite.
O Indra, grant us heroic strength, fine horses, and good cattle, as the Hotṛ does for those who have gone before, at the sacrifice.
Indra, in the pressed Somas, purifies his power and his praise; he is great indeed, possessing the wisdom of the mighty.
He, the ancient one, in the first heaven, in the seat of the gods, is mighty, most skillful, most renowned, victorious in battles.
We call that Indra, full of might, to win the prize; be for us, O friend, most gracious and supportive.
This bounty of yours, O Indra, lover of song, flows to the one who presses the Soma; delighting in this seat, you shine forth.
Now, O Indra, grant us that which we, the Soma-pressers, seek from you; bring us splendid wealth, full of light.
The praiser, wise among men, exalts you with his songs; as birds follow their mother, so they seek your favor.
Hear, as of old, the songs of the singer, listen to the call of the worshipper; may you, rejoicing, increase the doer of good.
His gracious gifts play like waters rushing down a slope; with this thought, he is called the Lord of Heaven.
And he who is called the Lord of peoples, the sole master, is invoked with reverence and prayers at the Soma pressing.

Indra, most powerful, lord of the good, support wealth for those who praise; grant the immortal fame and riches to the noble ones.

Come here, hasten forward, delight in the pressed Soma rich in cows; weave the ancient thread as you know how.
