With it you set in motion the great rivers, like chariots, O Indra; to travel the path of truth, for that we seek you.
This praise, like clarified butter, purified, is for your favor, O stone-armed one; by which indeed you have quickly increased in strength.

He, the god, whom we have invoked from afar for friendship, has spread rain from the sky, and you have increased in strength.
His rays have increased, and his thunderbolt in his hands; as the sun, he has expanded the two worlds.
When, O lord of the good, the mighty, a thousand buffaloes grew strong, then your great power, O Indra, was truly increased.

Whether, Indra, you delighted in Soma with Vishnu, or perhaps with Trita Āptya, or with the Maruts in joy together with the drops—
Or, O Shakra, when you rejoiced on the distant ocean, may you, with those drops, be our ally in battle.
Or, mighty one, when you are the strength of the pressing priest, O lord of the good, or when you delight in his hymn with the drops—
To each god, to Indra for help, I will sing; then they have made the sacrifice ready for Turvaṇa.

This excellent praise, O Indra, the inspired one raises for you with his thoughts, like a kinsman seeking favor at the sacrifice.
When, in his beloved abode, they sang in harmony for him, at the navel of the sacrifice, the milkers at the rite.
