These, O generous ones, are your nourishing gifts, like ghee, increasing with the hymns of Kanva.
Where now, O generous ones, do you rejoice, you who delight in the strewn grass? Who among the priests worships you?
For never before have you, with hymns and strewn grass, roused the hosts of truth.
Together the great waters, together the earths, together the sun, together the joints have placed the thunderbolt.
The joints have gone forth against Vṛtra, the unyielding mountains have gone forth, performing the heroic deed of the mighty one.
Following Trita as he fought, they gained his strength and wisdom, following Indra in the slaying of Vṛtra.
The flashing, golden-crested, swift ones, with lightning in their hands, revealed their shining forms for glory.
When Ushanas, at a distance, sought the opening of the bull, heaven did not tremble in fear.
Come to us for the distribution of the feast, O gods, with horses whose hands are golden.
When the spotted ones in the chariot are drawn by the red leader, the shining ones go, cleaving the waters.
At Śaryaṇāvat, at Ārjīka, at Pastyāvat, the men went forth with their assembled hosts.
When will you, O Maruts, come thus to the sage who calls, not abandoning him, with gracious shouts?
When now, when beloved ones, have you abandoned Indra? Who among you desires friendship?
With your strength, O Maruts with the thunderbolt in hand, the Kaṇvas praise Agni with golden mantles.
May the mighty ones, ready for the sacrifice, grant us splendid wealth, ever increasing, with brilliant steeds.
Even the mountains are split apart, the proud ones are subdued; even the mountains are restrained.
Those who travel with swift wings, flying through the mid-air, praise the supporter.
For Agni is born as the ancient one, like the sun with his flame; by their rays they have spread out.
Come to us, Ashvins, with all your aids; O wondrous ones with golden wheels, drink the Soma mead.
Now come, Ashvins, with your chariot shining like the sun, with your strong, golden-adorned arms, O wise ones of deep thought.
Come, O Ashvins, on Nahusha’s path from the midspace, with splendid praises; drink the sweet soma pressed for you by the Kanvas at the sacrifice.
Come to us, O beloved ones, from the sky, from the midspace; here the son of Kanva has pressed the soma, your honeyed drink.
Come to us, O Ashvins, having heard our call, to drink the soma; you who increase the praise, O wise ones, with your thoughts, with the cry of 'svaha.'
For even in the past, O men, the seers have invoked you for help; so come, O Ashvins, come to this my excellent praise.
Even from the shining heaven above, come to us, O givers of light, with thoughts, O Ashvins, wise as calves, with praises, you who are invoked at the offering.
Why do others linger, O Ashvins, with our praises? The son of Kanva, your seer, the calf, has grown strong with songs.
To you both, O Ashvins, the inspired one has called here for help with praises; O irresistible, slayers of Vritra, be gracious to us, bringers of joy.
When your chariot, O Ashvins, yoked with swift steeds, was mounted by a maiden, you both went forth to all those deeds with your thoughts.
From here, O Ashvins, come with your chariot of a thousand courses; your calf, the honey-voiced poet, has called upon you.
Most delightful, possessing many treasures, bestowers of wealth, O Ashvins, may you both attend to this my praise with favor.
