The Soma has been pressed for you with stones; let it flow in the waters; like a garment washed clean, the men have purified it, straining it from the vessels.
Whether from the earth or from the great shining heaven, by this, increase yourself in body and in my song; fill, O skillful one, what is born of me.
Press out for Indra the most exhilarating, choice Soma; let Śakra drink it with all his wisdom, as a racer urged on to victory.
May I never, always begging with my song, weary you for Soma; like a restless beast in the sacrifices, who would ask the lord for what is his?
Driven by the strong exhilaration, with mighty power, he surpasses all, pouring forth the intoxicating draught; in intoxication, indeed, he gives to us.
The god grants many desirable things to the mortal who serves; to the one who pours and praises, he bestows, renowned everywhere, praised by all.
Come, Indra, delight in the splendid bounty, O god; like a lake swelling with drink, be filled to the brim with these Somas.
To you, a thousand and a hundred yoked to the golden chariot, the tawny-maned steeds, yoked by prayer, O Indra, may they bring you for the drinking of Soma.
To you, on the golden chariot, let the two bay steeds with peacock-like tails, with dappled backs, bring you for the drinking of the sweet, exhilarating Soma.
Drink of this pressed Soma, O lover of song, as the foremost drinker; this well-prepared, flowing draught is offered to you, delightful for your exhilaration.
He who alone is mighty, fierce, and great in his ordinances, let him come, adorned with the beard, like a husband to his wife, like a friend who does not forsake.
You, with your weapons, struck down the moving fortress of Śuṣṇa; you, O Indra, followed Bhāna; when invoked, you became the helper.
To you, at sunrise, at midday, and at night, O Vasava, my praises have gone forth, even at the setting of the sun.
Praise, praise him! These, indeed, are your most glorious benefactors; let not the horse be blamed on the road, nor the guest who is worthy of the feast.
When they harnessed the horses, I ascended the chariot with devotion; and he considers the wealth that is yours, or the cattle that belong to you, O Yadus.
He who has given me, together with his own strength, a shining golden hide—this resounding chariot of his has surpassed all others in prosperity.
Then Plāyoga, the leader, Agni, with ten thousand followers, surpassed the others; ten bright ones, like reeds in the water, stood for me, unyoked.
I saw his massive form in front, his thigh resting, his knee bent down; the ever-seeing woman says: O noble one, you bear excellent food.
O generous one, drink this pressed Soma, your full draught; let us gladden you, O fearless one.
Pressed by men, purified with stones, filtered through fine cloths, it flows like a horse released into the rivers.
As they prepare sweet barley with cows for you, so, Indra, may they praise you in this gathering.
Indra alone is the drinker of Soma; Indra, the drinker of the pressed juice, pervades all life—between gods and mortals.
Neither the brilliant, nor the greedy, nor the satisfied can drive away the wide-ranging friend.
When others, with cows, seek us as hunters seek game, they pursue us with their herds.
Let there be three pressed Somas for Indra, the god, in his own abode, for the drinker of the pressed juice.
Three vessels pour forth, three jars are filled to the brim, set upon the same support.
You are pure, established in many places, mixed with milk in the midst; you are most exhilarating for the hero.
These strong Somas, O Indra, have been pressed for us; the bright ones seek the invigorating draught.
Prepare for Indra this invigorating Soma, together with the sacrificial cake; for I hear you are rich in gifts.
Drunk in the hearts, they fight, intoxicated like men with strong drink; like naked ones, they leap into the vessel.
