May that dwelling be rich in noble sons, ever advancing, O generous ones, who have carried us beyond distress.
And Aditi, sovereign of truth, unbroken in her rule, along with those kings who possess great power, governs.
At your sunrise, I praise Mitra, Varuṇa, and Aryaman, the destroyer of falsehood.
This thought, seeking wisdom, is offered for strength to the mighty, the unassailable, for the gaining of golden wealth.
May we be, O god Varuṇa, and you, O Mitra, together with the wise, possess prosperity and well-being.
Many, with the vision of the sun, with tongues of fire, upholding truth, have traversed the three gatherings by their thoughts, surpassing all with their protections.
They have set apart the year, the month, the day for the sacrifice, and Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman, the kings, have taken up their undiminished power.
This day we honor you with hymns at sunrise, when Varuṇa, Mitra, Aryaman, and you, charioteers of truth, are yoked.
Upholders of truth, born of truth, growing by truth, formidable, haters of falsehood—may we, O men, and all the wise, be in your good favor, most well-defended.
That wondrous form, shining, rises up from the sky at dawn, when the swift one, the god-driven, carries it for all to see.
The head of moving and unmoving things, the lord, together traverses all the realms; seven sisters, for good fortune, carry the sun in their chariot.
That eye, set by the gods, rises bright; may we see for a hundred autumns, may we live for a hundred autumns.
Come, O Varuṇa, unassailable with the seers, and you, Mitra, to the Soma-drinking, shining with glory.
By the abodes of heaven, O Varuṇa and Mitra, come without deceit; drink the Soma, O mothers' sons.
Come, O Mitra and Varuṇa, accepting our offering, O lords, drink the Soma, you who grow with truth.
To you both, kings, I direct the chariot with worshipful mind and offering, as a messenger, like a son to his parents, I wish to speak.
Agni, kindled for us, is not to be mourned; even those at the edge of darkness have seen him; he, the herald, shines before the dawn, born for the glory of the daughter of heaven.
Now the skilled priest praises you, Aśvins, with hymns, O Nāsatyas, desiring to speak; come by the ancient paths, by the wealth-bringing chariot, knowing the way, with many blessings.
Now, Ashvins, I call upon you both, young and mighty, that at the pressing of the soma, the sweet treasures may be yours. Let your aged horses bring you here; drink the well-prepared honeyed draughts for us.
Ashvins, divine ones, direct my unwavering thought toward attainment, toward the gaining of treasures. Enter all contests for prize and prosperity; grant us your power, O lords of strength, with your abilities.
Ashvins, inspire our thoughts so that in them may be fruitful seed; let our offering be without delay. May your favor come to our children and descendants; endowed with good gifts, may we reach divine worship.
This is your ancient treasure, as in friendship, placed for us, sweet and bestowed. With unhindered mind, come near, accepting our offering among the human tribes.
In one gathering, in the same union, your seven-horsed chariot circles around. The splendid, divinely yoked steeds do not tire, those swift runners who carry you in the harness.
Be generous to those who are bountiful, who distribute gifts and wealth. Those who spread kindness among kin, who fill with cattle and horses, grant them riches.
Now, hear my call, O youthful ones; Ashvins, come along the prosperous path. Bestow treasures, grant long life to the noble; always protect us with blessings.
Come, Ashvins, shining, with your own horses; wondrous ones, delighting in youth. Bring us the offerings prepared for you.
Your intoxicating draughts have been prepared; come swiftly to partake of my offering. Pass through, O hearers, the rites for us.
Your chariot, Ashvins, moves with the speed of thought, crossing the spaces, a hundredfold. May it bring us the wealth of the sun.
This mountain, O divine ones, stands high, revealing the soma for you both. The inspired priest would offer you the oblations.
Indeed, your food is wondrous and abundant; you grant the mighty to the threefold. Whoever cherishes your favor becomes dear to you.
