Those mortals, Agni, who have divided your face, men descended from the ancestors, in many places—may you be well-disposed to us here through them.
These men, heroes in the slaying of Vṛtra, may all undivine tricks be overcome by them—those who support my inspired and praiseworthy thought.
Let us not, Agni, sit in want among men; let us not be left without offspring or strength around you, among families in misfortune.
He who, like a horse, always comes to the sacrifice, to our home full of offspring and prosperity, increasing us with his own kin and abundance.

Truly, Agni falls upon the one who opposes, and, kindled, may he drive away distress; noble men move around him.
This is that Agni, invoked in many places, the lord, kindled with offerings; he moves around as the priest at the sacrifices.
To you, Agni, may we always offer abundant oblations, O lord; let both our offerings be carried in the assembly.
These, Agni, are the most widely spread offerings; carry them without ceasing to the gods; let their fragrant blessings reach us.
Do not, Agni, drive us away from strength, from good will, from right-mindedness; do not abandon us to hunger, to the demons, to the lawless, in the home or in the forest.
Now, O Agni, establish my prayers; you, O god, are generous to the bountiful. May we be successful in both giving and receiving; may you always protect us with well-being.
You, Agni, are easy to invoke, radiant in appearance, and bring prosperity; O son of strength, shine forth. May the noble hero always stand with us, and may he not abandon us for another.
Agni, do not join us with those who bear ill fortune; speak well of us among the gods and among the fires. May harmful thoughts not destroy us, even if they arise, O son of the mighty god.
That mortal, O Agni, who offers the oblation with reverence and devotion, attains wealth among the immortals. He receives the gifts of the gods, for whom the wise seeker comes asking.
O Agni, knowing the path to great prosperity, bring us abundant wealth for the noble. By this, may we rejoice in strength, long-lived and victorious among people.

Now, O Agni, establish my prayers; you, O god, are generous to the bountiful. May we be successful in both giving and receiving; may you always protect us with well-being.
Accept our kindling today, O Agni; shine brightly, sending forth the sacred smoke. Touch the heavenly summit with your flames, spreading the rays of the sun.
Let us praise the greatness of Narāśaṃsa with offerings in the sacrifice. Those wise, pure, and thoughtful gods delight in both kinds of oblations.
We worship you, O lord, skilled and wise, the messenger between earth and heaven, truthful in speech. Like Manu, we kindle Agni for the sacrifice, always striving for the sacred rite.
The worshippers, bearing offerings, arrange the sacred grass for Agni with reverence. Calling for the clarified butter, O priests, purify the oblation with your hands.
Those devoted to the gods, skilled in rites, have settled in the sacred enclosure, longing for divinity. Like a child embraced by its mothers, they unite together in the assembly.
And the divine maidens, great like heaven, Ushas and Night, are like a cow rich in milk. The generous ones, seated on the sacred grass, should come to the sacrifice for prosperity.
I consider you, O inspired ones, as priests among human sacrifices, worthy of worship through offerings. Raise our sacrifice upward in the oblations; then, among the gods, grant us the desired rewards.
May Bhāratī come with the Bhāratīs, united; may Iḻā with the gods and men, and Agni. May Sarasvatī with the Sarasvats approach; may these three goddesses sit upon this sacred grass.

Come near, O Agni, kindled, together with Indra and the gods, with the swift ones. Let Aditi, with her good sons, sit upon the sacred grass; may the immortal gods rejoice with the offering.
With the fires, united, make Agni, the god, the most worthy priest and messenger at the sacrifice. He is steadfast among mortals, a protector, radiant, and pure, nourished with clarified butter.
